Unmatched Service 9/10/2012

Truly a hidden gem in an industry of not so honest shops. We finally found a place we can trust and recommend. You'll probably only hear of this place by word of mouth or on gear head blogs. I think everyone only wants to keep this place to themselves. Jeffrey manarang along with his skilled team of mechanics specialize in BMW and Minis. Oh yeah, the truth with integrity! They only recommend replacing stuff that need replacing! Imagine that! Jeffrey will personally tell you what's still good, what's gotta go, and give you a awesome price. No more sipping on free bad coffee, waiting in a crowded room of angry people, 18 year olds in ties renting you loaner cars like robots, and walking away thinking "I just paid how much? For what?". Thank you Colin Jeff! This was such an awesome advise you gave us ! more

Dishonest Salesperson 6/17/2011

I exchanged emails with salesman Andy Park regarding the new BMW I wanted to buy, being specific from the beginning on every detail, including the color and options. He said he has the car in stock. We agreed over the price. He set up an appointment for me to come yesterday at 6 PM and buy the car. Yesterday morning he even sent me an email to confirm I was coming. I answered yes, I am coming to buy the car. There should be no problems, right? Wrong. One hour before the appointment, Andy called me and said that the car I wanted was sold yesterday. I asked him why is he telling me this with one hour before our appointment? He said he is only supposed to do his due dilligence and look for someone's car 2 hours before the appointment. I asked him if he has another one, and he said he does. But he immediately added that the one he has has a metallic paint so it will be 550 dollars more expensive. I told him the car I wanted to buy had metallic paint, so there should be no increase in price. Andy said, yes, it's true, but he is sorry now because he has miscalculated the price when he sent me the emails. Really? How can that be? I have his emails with the detailed selling price, with the total price out the door confirmed twice. I have zero tolerance for BS and for dishonest people. I wish I can give minus 5 stars for this experience. Sergio more

I was in and out 6/15/2011

I ran over a nail on the 405 North Freeway and eventually got a flat. The second I saw the tire I called Nick Alexander Mini and scheduled an appointment the very next day. The service was fast and friendly. Phil Gibson handled my car and even got it washed for me! Overall I was very happy with the experience even though a flat tire is ALWAYS frustrating. The dealership is a little far from the Westside but the service is worth it. I was given a rental car immediately upon arrival and the whole process took less than 20 minutes. I was in and out. more

Phil Gibson is a fantastic service advisor! I initially spoke with him on the phone and he managed to fit me in right away with a "no problem...come on in" friendly attitude. (I am heading to SF and my car had been making funny noises so this was very helpful!). Upon arriving at the dealership, he greeted me and took the time to explain possibilities of my car's behavior - all in a very clear and concise manner. I felt very confident that the services he recommended were imperative. I'd would definitely ask for him if you need to service your car. more

Most pleasant experience 6/10/2011

I had been searching for a mini for about 2 months. I went to several Mini dealerships in the Pasadena area and was treated without respect and just seen as another commission. I decided to expand my options and search the Los Angeles area. I came across Nick Alexander Mini and was instantly impressed with the service I received. Upon my arrival, I was greeted by smiling faces and friendly customer service representatives. Personally, I can admit that I am a very inquisitive customer. With that being said, they had patience and answered all my questions without hesitation. I was offered a great price for the car of my dreams and couldn't resist buying a Mini! From the begging to the end, I was treated as an actual person. The respect I received was something I really valued. I would definitely recommend this dealership to anyone looking for a Mini. Overall, this has been the most pleasant car buying experience I have ever had. more

Top notch and very honest 6/8/2011

Service? on your BMW? Try Nick Alexander Imports - BMW along Alameda...yes Alameda, in the middle of nowhere, and look for Mr. Jeff Manarang, he's the best for your BMW service ....period! He will tell you what you need and what you don't need. Top notch and very honest, you will never find anyone like him (the other advisor is at Honda) who will treat you like a real person..No BS. Every time I need service on my M3...he takes care of my baby the way I wanted it to be. Keep it up Jeff, see you on my next service. more

Just incredible! 5/31/2011

I was in the market for a new Mini Cooper S hard top and I thought I had an excellent deal with one of Nick's competitors. I was just about to take ownership of it but then I remembered all of those great commercials that Elizabeth Alexander does on AM1070 while driving to work. I really like that personal touch she conveyed. So I instant messaged and met this salesman online named Joshua Ross and explained what I was looking for. Within about an hour he showed me via email an incredible Mini Cooper S that was far superior to the one I was suppose to pick up. He also sent along an incredible quote that beat any competitor's one. I immediately drove from Long Beach to the downtown LA dealership, shook hands, did the paperwork and in about 25 minutes, the Cooper was mine. Just incredible! Frankly, I hate car shopping! I feel as though I am always being swindled, but the experience with Josh was the exact opposite. Josh was patient, understanding and willing to help me any way he could with this purchase. He reassured me that we were entering a long-term relationship and not just a one-time purchase. He gave me his personal mobile number and said I could call him if I had any questions or problems. He then handed me over to this talented young man named Junior Mercado. What can't I say about this guy? First, he's smart, knows the Mini brand inside and out and is able to answer any and every question on the fly about the Cooper. Since I came from a simple car, the Mini presented me with an electronic learning curve. Junior answered all my tough questions and helped me get acquainted with the Bluetooth, Satellite and Mobile phone systems. The next day, I was still a bit confused and I phoned Junior. We arranged a time and I came back to the dealership whereby he patiently sat with me in the car and went over all of the features once again. He even walked me around the car and answered mechanical questions as well. What encyclopedic knowledge this young gentleman has! more

Very satisfied 5/25/2011

erod Pedersen is an exemplary member of the team at Nick Alexander Imports. I found myself unexpectedly and reluctantly thrust into the 'maelstrom' of looking for a new car, when my Jetta was pummeled by a palm tree during a fierce wind storm the night of November 29, 2010. The car, unfortunately, was declared a 'total loss' by my insurance company, and I was devastated about losing it and needed to find a replacement fast. The Mini-Cooper was a car that I had admired while living in London. I liked its sleek style, small size, maneuverability, and, moreover, felt it would suit me. Google led me to three Mini dealerships in LA, and the first one I explored was Nick Alexander Imports. I called and spoke to Jerod, who was welcoming, courteous and professional. We test drove a couple of Minis, which I liked straightaway; however, I felt that I actually needed more time to 'shop around' a bit, as I was still reeling from that freak act of nature with my Jetta. My research, which included recommendations from friends, led me to two brokers and then back to Jerod in my quest for the best deal. Last week it was neck-and-neck between Jerod and one of the brokers, who was also quite good. Nonetheless, I decided to go with Jerod for several reasons. Firstly, he is positive, kind and confident. He has great people skills, such as 'follow through' regarding phone calls and emails, in addition to the fact that he actually cares and listens to his customers. In the frenetic hustle and bustle of our times, he exudes patience: I had a lot of questions regarding the pros and cons of leasing versus purchasing, which he carefully answered and also crunched all the numbers for me. Furthermore, he was able to locate the Mini with my 'wish list' of particular features and packages. As a result of his expertise, I am now the happy owner of a Mini Cooper. I would highly recommend both him and Nick Alexander Imports to my family and friends. A very satisfied customer :)) more

Best experience I've ever had at a service shop 5/5/2011

I just had my Mini repaired here and it was the best experience I've ever had at a service shop. The service was practically seamless: the woman handling the repair shop reservations was knowledgable and made me feel like my problem would be solved; I dropped off my car, they had a complementary car rental ready for me, there was no paperwork when dropping off the car, and everybody knew what they were doing. The staff was very friendly, very professional and well-trained in customer service. I was taken care of by Phil Gibson....a shout-out to him. Both my buying experience and service experience here has been outstanding. more

I just got some wiper blades at the parts store but the service was excellent and the guy who helped me out, I think his name was Rudy was fantastic. He actually took time to come out from behind the counter and put the blades in my mini, and even showed me some tips on changing them myself next time. So thanks to Rudy for all his help. more

My service advisor was Jeff, he took the time to explain everything that my warranty covered, he went detail by detail to make me feel like if I was talking to my friend about my car. His service was one of a kind. I couldn't believe that he went the distance to recommend services that were not even part of the schedule maintenance. His attention to detail, follow-up and follow-through, and excellence in individualized my care for my vehicle is unlike any service advisor I have ever interacted with. The rest of the staff was also amazing. As soon as I went in to the waiting area they welcome you "good morning", and even ask you if you care for premium coffee. I never in my life had any type of service like Nick Alexander BMW has provided. Jeff and the rest of the staff took ownership and show that they truly care for one not only as a customer but as a friend. I recommend everyone that owns a BMW to get your service here, you will be blown away at the experience they provide, none other out-there will match what Jeff and Nick Alexander has done for me today and if you don't own a BMW then you have more of a reason to drop by check out their deals and hopefully you can become part of this family. more

Extermely knowledgable 4/15/2011

I've leased two Mini Coopers (the first in 2003) through Nick Alexander and have had consistently good experiences here. Phil Gibson, the service advisor, is extremely knowledgable and takes the time to inform you of what's going on, what the car needs and what your options are. Yes, it's a bit of a schlep from where I live, but they've always offered me a loaner car (for free) or a shuttle ride home. I really like the new dedicated Mini facility too. more
