Horrible place.
Very rude front desk manager. I wanted to sublet my room and my landlord told me to get some forms from a realty nearby. Since my contract said Jacob Realty and NextGen is part of them (apparently owns Jacob Realty), i went there. The front desk manager was relatively rude from the start even before I explained what I needed. He said they don't have anything to do with my apartment. He gave us some rental form to sign without explaining and I had to figure out how to get my subletter to fill it up without signing anything she didn't have to. I showed him my contract and he asked who I did the deal with, then said he'll find out. 1 minute later, from his desk he just signaled to me and gave me back my contract, asking what I needed from him, with rude emphasis on ""from me"". I said, I guess just the form we were filling and he looked away. When we finished filling the form, I wanted to hand it back to him. Another guy took it and gave it to him who was on the phone.
He snapped at us saying ""No you don't give this to me, you give it to your landlord. Unless you wanna pay me! You wanna pay me?"" I managed a ""No, of course not. You're not very helpful."" and walked out with my subletter and the form. As I walked out, I looked back at them and all the other 4-5 guys there just looked away at their computers ignoring the whole thing or maybe afraid of the dude.
On comparison, the next door City Realty guy was helpful when I first asked about this. Later I realized they don't gain anything from helping me, but at least City Realty treat you with more respect as a person, the way any company should. After all, my contract is with Jacob Realty which is owned by NextGen. I am a customer still under contract. Seems that if he isn't my agent, or if they already got their rental fees, you're not even a person anymore.
Pros: looks professional, like stockbrokers.
Cons: looks turned out to be very deceiving
