great time great food great service 5/13/2010

My family and I had a wonderfull time while eating great food! Out of this world! They even had a gentelman singing Sinatra sons! The service was great and very professional! Sounds like the other review just had a bad day and is the type of person that needs take her nose out of the clouds! I highly recomend this fine Italian resturant! more

Disappointed 5/1/2010

Obviously, Margarita Girl was hired by someone from the restaurant to write such a great review. In her review she explained each type of dish and tried to relate to it, which could only be the work of somebody from the restaurant. If you want to have good reviews you don't need to hire people just make good food. Cons: Too Much more

Would not recommend unless changes were made 4/22/2010

Went to the New York Oven for the first time with my family and was shocked when I opened the menu to see the average price of a meal was around $18. The inside and outside of the restaurant reflect a reasonably priced family restaurant. The marquee said 2 pizzas for 19.99. The decor and ambiance of the restaurant is not worthy of such prices. When we asked the waitress if we could order pizza she brought us a different menu and gave us an attitude of disdain. We were given cheap plastic plates while a table near us eating dinners were served on a much nicer plates. Yes, we weren't paying as much but it was not very classy. We had to ask for napkins and silverware. I will say that the pizza was good but I can almost guarantee that this restaurant will never make it in Dillsburg unless varying price options are offered and the restaurant is redesigned to offer a classier atmosphere. Pros: Pizza was good Cons: Price more

The only thing hot is the attitude 4/20/2010

While the food is good for an Italian Resturant, we were displeased with the service and stuck up snootyness of the server and lack of professionalism. Yes we came in with our thirteen month old daughter (their website states that it's a ""family atmosphere"". We weren't greeted with a smile and overheard another patron and employee talk about having sex with a cow! Let me tell you it made me want to just dig into my steak stromboli all the more. But before my wife even had the chance to try a bite, our server was ready to offer dessert which translated to (you guys can take your baby and leave). We had a $25 gift card which was purchased at HalfpriceHarrisburg. We were told my Miss I forgot to introduce myself and smile that the Gift Certificate is only valid for their ""dinner"" menu. Nowhere does it express that on the certificate or website in which we purchased the certificate. They did honor it this time (the last time we will ever go there). Now it does say on their resturant. site it is for dinner only but we only found that out subsequent to the bad experience. Had we known, we would have perhaps saved it another time.\r Bottom line of this diatribe, the food is undoubtedly good but the service is undoubtedly a poor excuse for the ""friendliness"" of Pickletown Dillsburg. We will not be going back there Pros: Good Food Cons: Bad Service more

Ravioli - A Masterpiece 1/24/2010

Best homemade ravioli I've ever tasted. The spinach portabella is my new favorite. Every sauce I've had here is divine. The homemade bread here is excellent especially with olive oil or marinara sauce. My friend said the homemade Greek dressing is the best she's ever tasted and I agree (and she's married into a Greek family that has been in the restaurant business for years). I'd never been a fan of calimari until trying it here - now I am. The eggplant rollatini is a real delight. The New York style pizza we tried was also great - can't wait to try different ones on the menu. Love it here! Pros: Good price, quality, menu choices and BYOB Cons: Haven't found one yet more
