this was the best bar tending school I have ever attended. The staff and the teachers are great. I had such great hands on experience and only finished in a week. LOVE IT <3

Had a great experience! The NYB school is top notch, from Michelle \r and Allyson in the office, as well as Ed the professor, to the \r professional equipment and setting. Ed is an excellent instructor. \r He has honed his bartending and teaching skills into an art. His \r knowledge and approach to bartending can turn anyone into a skilled \r bartender if you apply yourself using the schools methods. Once you take the \r class, if you are serious about working in the bartending \r profession, follow the guidance the school has empowered you with. \r The only thing that is left is to get out there, pound the pavement \r and find that dream job. Great place to learn bartending skills 5/31/2010

I knew very little about bartending and alcohol before I joined this school. But they taught me a lot. From free pouring, to the types of drinks, to the real life club/bar environment, this school prepares you for it all. I highly recommend this school to anybody who wants to learn bartending. They let you take the course as many times as you want, and help you every step of the way. They will even help you get a job! Pros: real life environment, great staff, great service more

The classroom is literally a bar. The first day of class we were already bartending. My Prof. was Ed and he's amazing. He's a little on the cucu side but hes makes the classroom amazing. Pros: Awesome training!!!! more

GREAT place to learn and have fune 2/5/2010

Truthfully, there are zero drawbacks to the school. I took the course in one week and had ALOT of fun. Ed is by far the best teacher around. He is knowledge beyond anyone I have ever met. But also he is funny. The staff is there to help you at any time as well if any issues happen. Short and sweet,I had fun and will let anyone know. Worth every penny and being able to call them to see if they have any private events coming up just adds the icing to the cake. Pros: Flexible in payments Cons: None more

What can I say ?The NYBS was an unexpected and awesome experience. We are presently opening our own business of a Portable Bar in Jamaica and we wanted to be professionals at what we do, so we a few weeks of research trying to determined which school has the best curriculum, one that?s certified and one that?s of course close to home (Jamaica). Not knowing what to expect!!! We found Awesome and help staff, the teacher (Ed) was excellent he even had knowledge about our Jamaican Rum and Bar Culture, I learnt so much from placing the correct garnishes on drinks, mixing over 100 different drinks to cashing drinks. They made sure that you totally understand everything and are willing to go over the ingredients with you. At the end I feel a sense of accomplishment as you complete a comprehensive test as well as making 20 drinks in 6 minutes. It's more than just a school, it's an experience. 1/18/2010

NYBS was an awesome and fun experience. Instead of just reading a book to know what is used to make a drink they give you the actual bar with the bottles. You make just about every popular drink known to man... and woman ;-)... You are also thought how to garnish the drinks and how to prepare the garnishes. The staff is very helpful and the teachers are the best. They are here to make sure you understand what you are doing. They do not just teach you how to make drinks, they also prepare you and help you with your resume when you feel you are ready to go on the job hunt. The best thing is, after you graduate, you can always come back to practice for free. Pros: Fun, Hands on experience, helpful staff, awesome teachers. Cons: Only con is that I'm upset that I cannot find anything bad. more

Staff is very helpful and encouraging....wants you to pass. You can practice any time and the instructors are great (especially ED he was the BEST!!!!!!!!) Very comfortable environment where you feel that you can ask questions....overall the best experience and very happy that i chose this school. Also the owner of the school was down to earth and an awesome guy!!! Pros: Friendly staff!! Cons: None more
