Best

Honestly I have to say i love this place! I am so happy 3 years ago i had a temporary job at a halloween store close by and i found this place. Everything is so tasty and im sure ...

Worst

I would have given New Moon a 1 star rating, but i have to admit, at times the food is pretty damn good. However, The service is HORRIBLE! \r \r You're not greeted when you walk...

Great Service with great food 12/26/2006

The owner put together a menu for a after funeral reception for my family. He was very helpful in guiding us to dishes that many people would like. I had never been there before, but New Moon came highly recommended. \r The waiters made sure that our guests always had something to drink help in getting to the serving area. The buffet service for our reception was beautiful and we had room to put up a display of pictures for the guests to view. Even the workers got misty eyed.\r The food was so much better than I expected. Although it is not cheap like Panda Express, it is much better than PF Chang's. Many of our guests commented on the great food and service and said they would like to return on their own for a meal. I can hardly wait to go back myself.\r The restaurant is very clean and does not crowd tables together, so you have room to move. They also have a patio, with heaters, where you can enjoy your meal. Pros: Good food, service. Open layout. Cons: A little hard to find. more

Good/healthier food at reasonable price 11/11/2006

I too don't know where reviewer #1 ate and I would question ""their"" attitude. I've been there countless times, referred freinds and family and they all have loved it. They all thought the prices were reasonable, food was great and the service was good. Would prefer to have a more extensive bar but it's a small price to pay for everything else. \r Go and decide for yourself. Pros: good food, good price, good service Cons: limited bar selection more

Attitude 11/8/2006

I have eaten here quite a few times during lunch. I go because of the outdoor seating, NOT the food. It's a glorified Panda Express with slow service, and higher prices to pay for the decor. When they first opened, the food was great...not anymore. And I can do without the attitude of the manager. We had a problem with the bill one time, and she was less than accommodating. But there aren't too many outdoor restaurants in the Glendale area, so on sunny days, we're willing to put up with it. Pros: outdoor seating Cons: americanized chinese food more

great food, great service 9/18/2006

i love the chloe's shrimp~ mmmmm.... if you are going on a weekend, reservations are a must. generally a family style restaurant which adds a bit of fine dinning and contemporary style to the mix. take out or dine in, you'll enjoy the lovely hostesses in chinese shirts and the nice dim evening atmosphere. best yet, they have a nice variety of wines and western desserts which are unusual for a chinese restaurant. Pros: great food and service more

Pricey! 8/7/2006

Too expensive for Asian food, drinks are pricey too. Decent food but just too much for the area. Nice place, seems like we have to pay for how much it cost to set-up. Pros: Decent food, nice place Cons: too expensive more

You're Right-It's GREAT! 7/16/2006

Don't now where reviewer #1 ate, but it certainly wasn't at the New Moon I go to often! I doubt the huge crowds that line the emtrance every night would agree, either. The spicy, crispy orange beef is TO DIE FOR, and Chole's Shrimp is YUM YUM YUM. Every guest we've ever taken there raves about New Moon's Food. My only complaint? I can never get a quick table! Pros: Fantastic authentic Chinese Food with a modern flair Cons: Very busy most of the time--make reservations! more

Great Chinese Food 7/11/2006

New Moon takes traditional Chinese dishes and gives them a contemporary and California twist without overly Americanizing it. Very well prepared dishes with clean, crisp, and distinct flavors. Unlike the a previous reviewer, this is no PF Chang wannabe because it doesn't overpower the food with salt and strong sauces. As you can tell, I do not like PF Chang's at all. Although if you really, really like Americanized Chinese food, you may not like this place. \r \r There is a large wait staff so the service is wonderfully cheery and quick. They seem to only hire very good looking servers to match their well done contemporary Asian decor. I was there on a Saturday night with 7 people so it was a good thing we had reservations.\r \r I highly recommend trying this place for yourself and deciding. Pros: Fantastic food, quick and friendly service, parking lot behind Cons: Relatively pricey for Chinese food (more than Panda Express but less than PF Chang) more

very good the other review is ridiculous 6/13/2006

i have gone there a total of 4 times (twice takeout) and it has been perfect. The other rreview is stupid and i think he must not have a sense of taste or was expecting mexican food. The mongolian beef does lack a little flavor but in general everything else was great especially Chloe's shrimp. The sweet and spicy beef was great. No complaints more

Food disappointing on both visits... 5/18/2006

I ordered takeout twice from this restaurant and was sorely disappointed on both occasions. On my first visit, I tried the orange peel chicken which was unimpressive (far too much breading, and the whole thing was somewhat tasteless). On my second visit, I tried the Mongolian Beef, which was a disaster. The beef was extremely fatty, there was practically no brown sauce or seasoning that resembled the taste of a traditional brown sauce, and overall the dish tasted like an oversalted version of my Grandmother's liver and onions. This food would not be considered good, quality food under any circumstances but certainly not considering the price range. It's as bad or worse than dishes I've picked up at a fast food restaurants for a third of the price. Pros: Lots of parking, Courteous wait staff, Lovely space Cons: Bad quality of food more

PF Chang""s Wannabe 8/23/2005

The decor and distribution of the restaurant are nice. The food is a little bland and the menu is not innovative. Pros: decor, large space Cons: menu selection more
