Good food. Nice portions. Delivery is a bit slow more

Editorial review from GrubHub 12/3/2013

Delicious recipes, and they were very accommodating when I asked for a very mild dish. Delivery time took far longer than expected. In terms of portions, the dishes were a little skimpy with the proteins?only a few chunks of lamb, chicken, or cheese in each dish. more

The food at Mughal Garden is equal in quality to any decent Indian restaurant. I think that what makes them 4-star worthy is the customer service. This is personal, polite, and rapid. Ordering with them was a pleasant experience and the food was good. more

I've been a fan of Mughal Garden for probably around 15 years now and was pretty excited to see that the delivered. But we had a pretty disappointing experience with this delivery. The Chicken Tikka Masala included 9 small pieces of chicken in the entire order...swimming in a container of sauce. I don't think I've ever gotten such a tiny portion, certainly not for that price! The food was fine, but not as delicious as I remember when eating in there. I hope it was a bad night, but I doubt we'll spend that kind of money on delivery from them again. Too bad. more

I can't tell you how happy I am that Mughal Garden delivers to my home. I've been visiting their lunch buffet for more than a decade! more

Editorial review from GrubHub 7/28/2013

Delicious the first time, but on subsequent orders, the paneer was cold and had a strange metallic taste. more

Editorial review from GrubHub 6/23/2013

A lot of food, and whole separate containers of jasmine rice. I thought for a minute I had the wrong order and there were other entrees in the bag. The paper delivery bag had HANDLES. That's beyond awesome, to me. It's easy to work with and I can use it again. Delivery was polite and exactly on time. I think I ate the naan in about two minutes flat - charred on bottom and chewy, as it should be. more

BEST INDIAN FOOD IN BALTIMORE !!!!!!!!!! 4/14/2011

Crispy, tangy Chat: was fabulous. Mix spinach pakoras were delicious. Date-tamarind chutney is PERFECT for this dish. it set up the expectations for the main course. All the portions were bigger then Akbar and the taste of all the items we had been trying had been consistence for the past 3 years unlike most of the other Indian restaurants. Sizzling assorted kabob platter was mouth watering. Tandoori Lamb chops were tender, delicious and melts in our mouth. my friend ordered Tandoori Lobster and he just loved it. Lobster vindaloo was done perfectly: the curry itself was not as spicy but very good, very much memorable and much better then Bombay Club. Karai chicken with fresh peppers, tomatoes and coriander has a delicious taste and wonderful texture. Bhendi masala and Shahi paneer with fresh ingredients were cook to perfection. All the food was really great but the kicker were the fresh fluffy and soft butter nan which complemented the rest of the food. We both asked the waiter and got plain salted lassi rather then mango lassi. It was absolutely refreshing. We both topped this fest with great mango kulfi. The kulfi itself is worth coming again for.. Service was excellent: attentive without being overbearing. Every time my glass was close to being empty, it was immediately filled with water. Decor here is nothing to rave about but its a quiet place for peaceful dinner. The prices are amazingly reasonable. Its worth coming here thrice then going to Bombay club once for the same amount of money. . more

It's like a different restaurant since the new owners & chef 4/20/2009

Since new owners, new manager and new chef came to Mughal Garden in 2008/Summer, it's like a different restaurant - the food and service is so much better that I almost wish that they had changed the name. The new chef comes from the Sapphire in Laurel and the new kitchen staff turns out some delicious food. Prices are comparable with other Indian restaurants and portions are good sized. The dining room still looks a little too like the Harvey House (that once was a Mt. Vernon maintstay) but the new management team is enhancing the dining room slowly but surely! Pros: Really good Indian food and attentive service Cons: The dining room still looks like the Harvey House! more

LOVE it! 2/18/2009

MMM, Mughal Garden! We've started going here almost every weekend for their Saturday/Sunday brunch. Service is very attentive, it is CHEAP for all the food you can eat, and the food is phenomenal. We used to go to Akbar, but never again after we discovered Mughal Garden. The food here is superior, way more vegetarian options and much more flavorful. I only have wonderful things to say about Mughal Garden! Pros: A lot of vegetarian options, excellent food and service Cons: Ambience isn't great more

Best Tandoori Dishes & Crisp and hot Nan 11/16/2008

Having been to Mughal Gardens under its former management, my wife and I were very pleasantly surprised during our recent visit, at the vastly improved quality of food as well as prompt and courteous service of the staff under the new management. The addition of valet parking service also added much to our enjoyment of our meal. The Tandoori Chicken, the crisp and oven-hot nan added much to the quality of our experience. Overall, we felt that Mughal Gardens has now joined the select few top-class Indian restaurants in Baltimore City. Pros: Superb quality of food Cons: Dependence on valet parking for ease of parking on Charles Street. more

The best indian food in Baltimore 10/21/2008

We recently discovered this gem of a place in the heart of Baltimore, very near the Washington monument with tons of other restaurants. The restaurant is now under new management and has a new executive chef, and boy does that make a great difference. The food is just outstanding. We tried the tandoori lamb chops for the main entree and it was perfectly cooked in the tandoor oven with the right mix of spices, and was succulent and juicy. Vegetarian dishes, especially Saag Paneer and Tadka Daal, were the best we have ever had. The food is fresh and the service is wonderful. Haven't tried their lunch buffet but while there on a Sunday, the buffet spread was just fabulous and the place was crowded. In other words, the word must have gotten around. Pros: Simply the best indian food in Baltimore Cons: Parking, but I understand they have valet parking available now more

Brunch Buffet 7/17/2004

Relatively large, I have only been there for brunch. One of the best Indian food brunches in town, but it can get very crowded. More vegetarian options than other brunches. Pros: good food, lots of vegetarian Cons: , parking more
