Major Rip Off - DO NOT CALL THEM!\r
\r
A 79-year old lady who is a friend of ours called Neerings to fix a bathtub faucet that was leaking at her condo. It wasn't an emergency. She just couldn't get the water to turn off all the way. \r
\r
She looked in the phone book and saw the BBB label and thought ""they are probably honest."" \r
\r
She called at 7:30AM. They said they were pretty busy but would definitely be there before 3:00 PM. At 3:30 PM she called to see if they were coming. They said they had just finished a job and would be there soon. An hour later, at 4:30 they arrived. They replaced the cartridge (maybe $10 to $20 part at Home Depot). It took the repair guy less than TEN MINUTES to put the part in (and about 20 minutes to find where to shut-off the water). They were out-the-door-and-gone by 5:00 PM. \r
\r
No more than 30 minutes total! \r
\r
They charged her $465.00\r
\r
Total time 30 minutes.\r
Total parts $15\r
Total Charge: $465\r
\r
That's $900 per hour! \r
\r
DO NOT CALL NEERINGS... this job should have cost between $125 than $150 max. I hate it when a business happily rips off an old lady. But judging from the reviews on this thread, they believe in equal opportunity.\r
\r
DON'T BE THEIR NEXT VICTIM.
