Mr. Tire Auto Service Centers

If you don?t listen to me, then you will be the next victim. There are so many veicle repair stores, why take risk to ignore my comments and believe them?\r My car was worth $5000 before repair. I spend $1000 dollars to repair the brake, but after a week my car had to be traded to Carmax with $2000. How does this happen?\r The first time I went Mr. Tire was a bad experience also. I asked them about the price to change a front tire, and they told me that should be around $120. They didn?t have that kind of tire in store and ordered one for me. But when tire came and I went there to replace tire, the price went to more than $200. They said alignment of tires was required and the fee was not included in the first quote price! \r Well, I always want to make things easier and save my time. They had service for oil change and provide free checking of the car. After checking, they list at least 5 other oils change and part replacement (total price is more than $500). They were great! I came in 5 minutes before their closing time, and they were happy to work on my tires. So the price was maybe $5 more than the prior shop I walked in for an estimation, but the service was far better at Mr Tire. They explained every option and choices before I signed the paper. I reccomend this place for everyone. more

Wow! OK i work at this story across from the Rockville campus and i agree this story could...no should be much better. In this shop I'm just a low level tire tech so i don't have a very big voice to effectively change anything. A. Y. I personally apologize for the actions taken by our sales staff, what you went through should NEVER had happen. However, one thing that I would like everyone to understand is that we will not repair any tires that if by doing so makes the car unsafe to drive, we will always recommend that the owner buys tires in pairs of twos or fours to prolong the life of the transmission and differential, trust me paying $500 on tires is far better than dropping $2,000 down on a new trans. more

Scheduled an appt w/ them to get a set of 4 new tires only to be told when I got there that they didn't have them in stock. I had to cancel plans I had made b/c I wouldn't have new tires in time. They called me back to then say they had to ship them from their distributor in Ohio so I would be responsible for the shipping-an extra $20 a tire. So to get this straight, I've already been jerked around, made a wasted trip, canceled another trip, and now I have to pay for shipping tires that are supposed to be in stock in their store. I said thanks for the inconvenience but no thanks. I'm looking elsewhere for new tires. Don't come to this place. They are so unorganized and unprofessional and expect the customer to pay for their mistakes w/ no apologies. more

I went to Mr Tire in Rockville, (one close to 28) to get a flat tire fixed for free with a coupon. They asked me to leave the car and come back after about two hours, when I went back they said it could not be fixed, need a pair of new tires. I went to a gas station, they plugged in the tire for $10. more

Very disappointing experience at Mr. Tire in Rockville MD. Sales people have no idea what they are selling (ex. road hazard warrantee). Very slow service for simple tire replacement. Service people or manager didn't seem to mind that their customers had to wait while they chatted and took breaks standing around. BUYER BEWARE!! more

Made an appointment for Mr Tire off of Joppa Road in Parkville Maryland for a new set of 4 tires. Got there and they had ordered the wrong tires. Good thing I took off work for several hours. Then three days later back to get my tires and after leaving noticed I was charged for " road hazzard isurannce" at 18 bucks per tire. I never was asked if I wanted this and did not want the isurannce. After calling back the next day the Manager who charged me "Michael Cross" mysteriously does not work there anymore. I now have to drive back to the shop to fill out paperwork and wait 4 to 6 weeks to get a refund for something I never wanted but was charged for. Stear clear from Mr Tire! more

My recent experience at Mr. Tire (Essex, MD) left a lot to be desired. I was immediately disenchanted when I was not allowed to address the sales manager until he completed whatever paperwork he was involved in. My experiences in dealing with the public dictate that the customer comes first, unrelated paperwok second. I already had an estimate which included road hazzard insurance. I advised the salesman that I did not want road hazzard insurance. He insisted on discussing it further. I left without buying tires and he seemed quite unimpressed with this action. His parting statement was "that's fine." He has an attitude problem. I will never again visit a Mr. Tire store. more

I have had two bad experiences with Mr. Tire. When they're selling tires to you, they are polite but will try to get you to get every warranty. When it is a small job, like patching a tire or getting a nail out of a tire, they try to make the job bigger than it is. I needed a patch work recently and they did it but of course found that there was a nail in my other tire. (I'm suspicious on how it got there.) I asked if they could patch that tire and they refused, told me it was a liability and that I needed new tires. (of course) They told me this information in a tone like my tire would explode the minute I would start driving on it. I listened to their interaction with the lady before me who came in for an oil change. She was scared to drive the car after they talked to her. I would highly recommend Mr Tire Auto for any and all tire repairs. For all other car repairs, I would stick with the dealer though. The staff is very efficient, friendly and eager to help. However, it was clear to me that they specialize in tires. It seemed like for even the "simplest" items (air filter) they had to check with the dealer. I don't have an unique car (Toyota Camry) so I'm not clear why they had to check with the dealer. I would definitely use them again for my tires though. more

I've used this shop once when my 2001 Accord developed a problem with a leaky front tire. It turned out to be a nail and the repair was completed quickly and for a reasonable price. The staff, while busy, were pleasant to deal with. An added bonus are the shops and fast food places across the street in case you want to grab a bite while waiting for your car. more
