I hired Mr. Maid to do a ""move-out"" clean of a rental property that had been left with a stong scent of cat urine in the basement. Mr. Maid, Teri, assured me that the product they use, EnviroCon, would eliminate the animal odor from the basement but warned me that they would have to hook up special equipment to their van in order to perform the service. I was charged $150.00 for the equipment hook up and an additional $400.00 for the ""move-out"" cleaning and animal scent removal. Unfortunately the EnviroCon product, that I was assured would eliminate the animal scent, was not effective in removing the odor. When I called Mr. Maid a few days after the cleaning I was told to wait a few days to allow the product to take affect. I phoned again 1.5 weeks later and Mr. Maid, Teri, immediately told me that they do not offer a guarantee and would not send anyone out to the property to attempt to remove the oder in light of the fact that I had paid $650.00 for their service. Animal scent aside, I was not impressed with the overall cleaning of the house. The wood floors were not mopped, the air intake duct was not cleaned (as had been expressly requested), and the cleaning crew left dirty rags behind. Unfortunately I was left with the sense that I had been taken advantage of by Mr. Maid and was not impressed with their immediate statement that they do not offer a guarantee of service after they had assured me multiple times that their products would eliminate pet odor from the house.
Pros: Friendly when you schedule service
Cons: Quick to assure you they can do the job and fall short on delivery...then state ""no guarantee""
