Mr. Maid

I have been using Mr. Maid for over 15 years. I think that itself says a lot. The staff has changed a little over the years but everybody is always great! I love these guys. I trust them in my home, which is so important. They do a great cleaning job. I can always ask them to do anything that I would like to have done better or something they maybe missed. In my case, I can't $@!#% my mattress and they do that for me. They aren't like some of these places that say they don't do certain things. Anything I need, they will do. I am so happy with the staff and everything they do. Mr. Maid is worth it's weight in gold! more

I'm a location manager of a TV show and we film in many different locations. We bring Mr. Maid with us to clean up the location after we leave and they've worked in all kinds of different situations. They're always ready for any type of situation, any time, any day and they're always on time, courteous, and professional. more

Apparently, our job is the dropped ball. We moved last week and I scheduled Mr Maid to come in to our totally empty house and clean the house for tenancy. They had one shot to do it as I turned over keys the next day and got on a plane the day after that - and Jeff knew that when we scheduled. After 3 hours and $300 for just the housekeeping portion, the floors were dirty as were many other surfaces. He did send a crew back to do the floors that afternoon, but has not done anything further to settle the fact that I had to clean after them. I sent him photos a week ago and a follow-up e-mail last night and I've not heard from anyone regarding resolution/restitution. My next stop is American Express to dispute the whole charge. more

We recently remodeled our house and needed to get the house cleaned up after the remodel. It was a mess. I started searching for several companies to do the clean up when I found Mr. Maid. I was amazed to find one company to handle all of my clean up and in one day. They handled the entire clean up from the construction cleaning, carpet cleaning, some upholstery cleaning, windows, air duct cleaning and did my carpet transitions. It was great to find a company who could handle so much work. We recently put my parents house up for sale and Mr. Maid helped us get our house ready. From the moment we contacted them they were very professional. We were able to rely on one company from beginning to end. They arrived on time. We had them pull out our old carpet, deep clean the entire house, cleaned all of our windows in and out and enhanced our wood floors. The house look amazing. Thanks for all your hard word. I've been taking care of my mom and recently I became sick. I've gotten really behind on my moms house cleaning and I needed help. I contacted Mr. Maid and they we very professional. They walked me through the entire process and more importantly they listened. They sent out two fantastic employees of theirs who showed up on time. That was very impressive. They helped me get caught up on my mothers house. We have already scheduled them to come back to clean our carpets and clean up the nicotine off the walls so that we could paint my mothers condo. We just recently purchased a house and was needing to move in right away due to us having to be out of our other place quickly. We received the keys to our new place on Thursday and had the movers showing up on Saturday. We never expected the house to be in the condition it was left in but it was a wreck. My wife was shocked at the mess they left. We contacted Mr. Maid and told them our situation and they sent their operations manager out the same day to look at the job. We were needing not only house cleaning but we also needed carpet cleaning, air duct cleaning and hauling garbage. We were expecting to have to hire four different companies and was already expecting to call off the movers, which would have cost us hundreds of dollars. We were surprised to not only find out that Mr. Maid was able to do the house cleaning but was also able and willing to take care of all our needs. To top it all off Mr. Maid made arrangements to take care of all this work for us on Friday. They had a crew show up Friday morning and worked all day to get the job completed. They truly saved the day. We were expecting to pay dearly for all this but we got a really good deal and excellent work. We will definitely recommend them to everyone. My wife was happy. The person my husband spoke to on the phone who gave a quote indicated that it would take two people two hours to clean our house (for four total man-hours). In two hours, the two people only cleaned our kitchen and 2.5 bathrooms. One person cleaned the kitchen, and the other the 2.5 bathrooms. Only one of the bathrooms was ever used by us, so taking two hours to clean them was ludicrous. Further, they did a mediocre job. I was flabbergasted to learn someone had spent two hours cleaning our kitchen. It is small, and all they did was wipe down the counters, appliances and the fronts of the cupboards, and mop. There is no way it should have taken that long (I know this for a fact since I've cleaned both the kitchen and the bathrooms may times before), so they either sent us their most inexperienced cleaners they had, or they were dawdling, trying to make more money (we sent them off after two hours and just dusted and vaccuumed ourselves.) I'm still looking for a good company, and will keep searching. Pros: Um...they showed up Cons: Terribly slow and their estimate was WAY off more

I hired Mr. Maid to do a ""move-out"" clean of a rental property that had been left with a stong scent of cat urine in the basement. Mr. Maid, Teri, assured me that the product they use, EnviroCon, would eliminate the animal odor from the basement but warned me that they would have to hook up special equipment to their van in order to perform the service. I was charged $150.00 for the equipment hook up and an additional $400.00 for the ""move-out"" cleaning and animal scent removal. Unfortunately the EnviroCon product, that I was assured would eliminate the animal scent, was not effective in removing the odor. When I called Mr. Maid a few days after the cleaning I was told to wait a few days to allow the product to take affect. I phoned again 1.5 weeks later and Mr. Maid, Teri, immediately told me that they do not offer a guarantee and would not send anyone out to the property to attempt to remove the oder in light of the fact that I had paid $650.00 for their service. Animal scent aside, I was not impressed with the overall cleaning of the house. The wood floors were not mopped, the air intake duct was not cleaned (as had been expressly requested), and the cleaning crew left dirty rags behind. Unfortunately I was left with the sense that I had been taken advantage of by Mr. Maid and was not impressed with their immediate statement that they do not offer a guarantee of service after they had assured me multiple times that their products would eliminate pet odor from the house. We hired Mr Maid sight unseen for next-day cleaning. Wanted someone to slay the dust bunnies, do the floors, etc. They were terrific! The place sparkles! The baths and kitchen is fabulous; they even declogged our sink. Highly recommend them. Pros: next-day scheduling, quality of work more

We bought an older house and remodled it. Our Realtor referred us to Mr. Maid as they do construction cleaning, air duct cleaning, carpet cleaning, windows and even inspection and repairs for the tiny area under the house where the air flex pipes are (crawl space). They came out gave me a bid for all of it, some of thier charges are seperate which I totaly understood (like air duct cleaning is charged by the square foot like $139. per thousand square feet) Any way, the best part was they could do all of this in one day. They cleaned the construction dust, cleaned the air ducts (real good idea for alergy people) even decontaminated them with a fogging that kills the bacteria (anti microbial). They washed all the windows in and out and 2 rooms of carpet with a van mounted carpet cleaner. They had 3 people there all day. The job was done, the cleaning was the best that I had experienced. They now come on a regular basis with the same two people every 2 weeks. more

Have been using Mr. Maid for about a year now. Overall a good company. Very concerned about doing the job right. Easy to work with on rescheduling or changes. more
