Moving Right Along

The caliber of the people from A Moving Right Along Movers is very high. They were polite, helpful, and neat--every one of them. Our move went very well. It wasn't a lot of things being moved, but they were expensive things. The movers were right on time, functional, and everything was good. I think you would do very well by using them. We have moved a whole houses a couple times and my daughter has moved as well. We've had difficulties with other companies breaking furniture. My daughter had things go missing. A Moving Right Along Movers is a trustworthy and very, very nice, family-oriented company. more

My experience with A Moving Right Along Movers was excellent. They did arrive slightly ahead of schedule, which messed me up a little, but other than that, they were courteous and personable. They worked quickly. None of my possessions got damaged during the move. I recommend them to everyone I know, and if I had the opportunity to hire them again, I would do so 110%! more

On September 16, 2013 John and Chino helped me move from Wantagh, LI to Cedarhurst, LI. They were both very professional and cooperative. This made the move go quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend both of them as they were wonderful in assisting my move. more

I received excellent service. The team that moved me were efficient, friendly, and thorough. The foreman, Luis, was helpful in a number of ways, including helping me figure out how to best configure my furniture. I've worked with other companies in NYC that have made moves painful. This company is a serious problem. They are bad at moving (breaking items, damaging apartment, packing = shoving items in boxes randomly, unpacking = throwing items randomly in drawers!"". They also supposedly do bed bug fumigation as part of a move. But that service doesn't work either. And they are sleazy charging huge amounts of money to scared and desperate people. We had bed bugs in a relatively new, gut renovated apartment with all new furniture and wanted to take the safest course and therefore agreed to spend a ridiculous sum of money for a move out and guaranteed fumigation. Not only did the guaranteed fumigation fail (and had to be done again), but the move was as unprofessional as it could have been. LIke hiring guys off the street. The ""packing"" consisted of throwing items in boxes, breaking items, and stealing all our tools, and various other items. Basically it's a racket. Do not use them. I would recommend doing the bagging services which seems more difficult but is what everyone else I know did and it cost 1/3 and worked. Also these guys played games, of course, with my claims. In the end I agreed to paltry amount and signed away, but then they unilaterally deducted 75% which I assume was what they intended all along. This is only my 2nd review in many years, but I feel compelled to write. I will also be reporting them to the BBB and various state regulatory and criminal agencies. Also, they do storage. Why would anyone store with a company that has part of its business involved with bedbug moves and storage? more

This was the second time in four years I have used A Moving Right Along Movers. It was an excellent experience, except that four door handles were lost. If they are able to find my handles and get them back to me I would be very happy, but basically I am very satisfied. more

From start to finish, the experience with this company has been first class. The office staff was courteous and worked around our schedules to set a meeting for the appraisal. On moving day, Joe, Jose, Ritchie and Eric were polite, thorough, meticulous and careful with our things. We couldn't have asked for a better team and are so appreciative of the work they did. My family was displaced because of the hurricane. We were finally moving back home and hired Moving Right Along. I had an excellent experience. The men helping us moved us back in less time than quoted. They were extremely efficient, friendly & helpful. They even helped us move things in a storage pod on our property. I will definitely recommend them to anyone who is moving. Great, great job! more

I sent a letter earlier and am not to good at copy and paste from my iPad but here it is in a nut shell. we have used Moving Right Along for at least 3 or 4 times. They are always professional. My boyfriend wanted to use another company because he was trying to give a client of his business.well that company called the morning of our move to inform us they would not be coming! We were besides ourselves since we had to get out of our building and would not be given even one more day. I was frantic and remembered Moving Right Along and took a long shot by calling them thinking I had nothing to loose. I called your Cooper Avenue, Middle Village store front who gave me the dispatch number right away. I then called and spoke to Tim who was wonderful, he had me speak to Karen to give the information about the COI and in no time at all the certificate were issued and Tim told us he would do his best to get this done today! We were so relieved. Of course it was not promised that it would happen but between Tim and Matt they made it happen. As I write this the truck is being loaded !! We have learned a very important lesson, never ever use anyone but Moving Right Along! from the person that answered your phones to your Admin staff to your dispatch crew to the movers themselves we thank you from the bottom of our hearts! I was real skeptical about the whole moving industries after hearing horror stories of fly-by night movers but my wife had used Moving Right Along a few times in the past so we called them. From our initial consultation with Timothy to the follow-up call from Karen everyone was especially courteous and professional. When Joe showed up right on schedule with his team of Jose, Tyson, and Lue, they were ready to get to work. In exactly three hours they had done what would probably have taken me and four of my best friends a week to accomplish. Nothing ever left the house that was not covered in a moving blanket. They were even able to take my piano from a second floor apartment. Great work guys! more

We were so pleased we used your company to move. The entire experience from 1st phone call to the office to the last box being unloaded was a pleasure. Ralph and crew were professional, pleasant and courteous. I believe our job was easy and we were fully prepared for them however the still get 5 stars!!! I give credit to a great crew and also to the company that takes the time to train them in proper customer service. Ralph and the crew even worked so hard that we finished ahead of time saving us at least $100. Which I was happy to pass on as additional gratuity. So far I have had three very positive experiences with Moving Right Along. I like the people, they are very professional and really seem to want to help. I've been to their facility and have seen how they operate, the trucks are clean and the service is good. Don't hesitate to get an estimate from them. more

I don't like to give 5 stars. Nobody's perfect. But then, I tried to think of what they could have done better, and I was stumped. I moved from Manhattan to a tiny town in northern CT. Timothy was the guy in the office who came out to give me an estimate. I was about to turn over everything I owned to a team of people I wouldn't meet until moving day - when it was too late to do anything about it, so I asked endless questions. What about the second stop at my Queens storage? How would they handle my expensive home theater. Every day I had more questions. I wanted to see the agreement forms I would have to sign, and I wanted to see them before moving day. Timothy never got impatient. He answered everything until I ran out of questions. (I was looking at other movers at the time, and they weren't so patient.) On moving day, my team was Joe, Verneal and Jose. They didn't work like co-workers. They worked like brothers. They were fast, but gentle with the breakables. Here, at the other end, there's not a scuff on my leather sofa, and not a scratch on my CD cabinet which already had one door off it's hinges. They took apart my Ethan Allen king bed and reassembled it in my new home. No scratches, no damage of any kind. Driving on the highway, their truck blew a tire. When they called me, I had visions of all my possessions scattered all over I-95, but there was no damage to my stuff. The truck arrived at my new location an hour and a half late, but they didn't charge me for the time it took to have the tire fixed. The estimate was ten hours for the labor. They finished in 8 1/2 hours, and beat the $ estimate by 15. I'm sure there was something they could have done better, but I just can't think of it yet. If I do think of it, I'll come back and lower the rating to 4 stars, but don't hold your breath. more

So incredibly professional, hard working, and courteous people it was an absolute pleasure to deal with them. I think they made an extraordinary effort to do an excellent job despite how challenging my particular move was because of how much there was to move. They have my highest recommendation. We had a great experience with Moving Right Along. Initial meeting/estimate was very thorough and detailed. We required a lot of assistance due to our circumstances and they were able to address every need. Estimate accurate and they did exactly what they said they were going to do. Managed our expectations very well and communicated often/effectively. Moving team was courteous, clean, detail oriented and efficient. Absolutely willing to do extra.
