I can't recommend NOT using Moving Right Along strongly enough. First, they're a bit sleazy. When the movers arrived at my apartment the day of the move, I was required to sign a document stating that I'd be responsible for all parking tickets. I was told that they would not perform the move if I didn't. I should have been informed about this policy when getting the estimate. The loading-up phase went OK. It was when we got to my new place that the problems started. First, I was informed that they left my desk in the elevator at my old building! The plan was that they'd unload all my stuff into the basement in my new building, then go back with the empty truck and get my desk. Since they're now under the gun with respect to time, they started tossing my stuff around. Of the ten pieces of furniture they moved for me, six arrived with scratches or gouges. They also left dollies full of boxes in the public hallway for 45 minutes at a time, irritating my new neighbors. The claims process was pretty unpleasant, and gave me the feeling that they were hoping that if they made it difficult enough, I'd just go away. The ""furniture repairman"" they sent was a joke; he tried to fix everything by slathering on wood putty and rubbing with a towel. I don't believe his repairs would be considered acceptable by anyone. The claims manager, Natasha, made herself extremely hard to reach. She claimed to have never received a single email I sent her. Most of my calls to her went unreturned. When I did reach her, she'd have to call me back ""in a day or two."" I'd never get a callback, and I'd end up chasing her down a week later. I'm still negotiating a settlement with them, and considering a lawsuit.
Save yourself time and grief, and use a different mover.
Pros: They showed up on time
Cons: Damaged most of my furniture; diffiult claims process
