Editorial review from Citysearch 7/18/2013

July, 18,2013 My wife took her car in for service due to a light on and a coolant issue. She got the car back a time later and the same issues began once again. She opened the hood of the car to see that the connection of the radiator body had separated from the secondary connection, and a coolant leak took place again about 1/3rd gallon was replaced. But, she also noticed a Cut in the Top radiator hose and sitting beside that hose on a ""shelf"" inside the hood was a rusty old razor blade! And sure enough it looks as though someone has cut that main hose! So, she first speaks to M and he wont provide any help, according to her and she hands me the photo's and issues and a name to call. I call R and asked him what was going on and why these NEW Issues since we had brought the car in specifically to address the same issues? He told me that the radiator had been replaced, After Market, without the mounts. Therefore it separated from it's connection. And we had purchased a new one from another source which we no longer purchase from. So, Im told that the issues remain the same but NOW the car needs the top hose replaced and the radiator mounts replaced as well. ""Why didn't their Top Tech Spot these Problems to begin with"", I asked? How could he spot those problems was his reply. Well, seems that when he removed the Cap to the Radiator he would have seen it was not mounted properly since it simply shakes and bobs up and down just touching it."", I countered. He didn't supply a response just that nothing was done. So, nothing being done means more work on the car and possible damages beyond the original damages and thats the KEY issue here. Was there MORE damages done to the car? We doubt it since the second she saw the light she stopped the car and had it towed to the dealership. Not wanting to drive it even after replacing the missing fluid. Which was a good idea. About the Razor Blade he assured me he knew the TECH that worked on our car and that they don't do such things at their dealership. I asked him Well, could it have been someone that didn't like that TECH since we didn't do it and it was sure there and a cut had taken place. He of course had no answer and I simply suggested that someone there left that blade and someone MAY have cut that hose is all I offered. He also stated that his dealership refuses to accept any responsibility for any additional damages to the car due to these problems. Which I can Understand why he wouldn't. But, someone there left that blade and there IS a cut in that hose. So, as it stands we will be paying another $525 dollars to fix and CHECK to see if any further damages have taken place to the car. You Decide on what you would do and think about issues such as this that happen to this car. more

I bought a 2005 CPO BMW X5 in 2009 which ended up having quite a few issues to say the least. I realize it was used, but there are certain expectations when purchasing a $30,000 vehicle. Within the 30 day "we'll fix it program" my brakes were squealing. I take it back and they swear everything was fine. One month later my brakes were grinding (brake pads are supposed to be changed with the CPO warranty), so it goes back!!!! FINALLY, they realize it, but expect us to pay! After a half hour argument with the sales manager they finally acknowledge they are at fault. Months go by until the interior passenger side door goes out. It can not be opened from the outside. After 3 months of wondering how the door was not part of the CPO warranty it too finally got fixed. Many more issues arise, but what really gets me is the dishonesty within the dealership. I tried to trade my BMW into BMW of Dallas when they informed me of an "unclean" carfax report! Motitz of BMW sold me a vehicle that had previous damage done to it in Jan of 2008. I am stuck with a major lemon due to the dishonesty of this dealership! DO NOT WASTE TIME OR MONEY!!!!!!!!! more

Terrible Customer Service 5/13/2011

I think this company should maybe read some of these reviews and try to make real changes instead of trying to balance out the bad reviews with 5 star bogus ones. Every review in here is either 1 or 5 stars and the 5 star ones seem fake. My fiance bought a car from them and immediately after she signed on the dotted line, all customer service went out the window. She had paid for tinting and was promised that it would get done on Friday, she just needed to bring it in. The salesman that worked with her quit later that day and the new guy told her it couldn't get done for a couple weeks. He was extremely rude and made it a pain for her to get anything done. She had to call multiple times to get the tinting done. She then had to call them 3 times to get them to submit her new registration in time. They are very nice and promise great service until you make the buy, then they could care less. Word of mouth is important. If you treat someone who just made a large purchase with your company like they are wasting your time, you are going to lose a lot of business in the long run. Moritz could use some help in this department. more

Great Dealer, Good Service 4/15/2011

When I went to find a BMW for my fiance, there was no shortage of options online, Moritz included. I called around, and narrowed down what I was looking for over a weeks time and settled on a vehicle at Moritz as a first look. When I arrived to see it, the car was pulled aside, clean and running with the A/C on... great start. It drove great, my fiance loved it and I got a very aggressive deal plus they had a finance offer I could not refuse. Very friendly and professional people, I found them to be everything a BMW dealer should be. Their pre-owned cars are very nice, but I may lease a new one again soon. Haven't gone to service yet, but I have brought my 550i here before and was treated well... I had CPO and Maintenance upgrade on my 550i, so I never paid a bill. Upfront and honest in my humble opinion. 5 stars! more

Worst Experience, I'm trading out and going back to LEXUS! 3/16/2011

I've never been more disappointed and unsatisfied! If you are looking for great customer service and if you want to be completely satisfied then please take my advice! I'm not sure if this goes for all BMW dealers or just Moritz but I will never go back there again! When you get there you have to walk in to the service dept and look for someone to help you because the service advisors are too stuck on themselves to assist you! There are cars in the service drive spread out in all of the lanes and facing all different directions to know if you are going in the right way! So after you walk in and stand there for like 10 or 15 minutes expecting for someone to ask you if you need any help you have to approach someone because you will not get acknowledged! When you finally come in contact with a service advisor you get a rude impatient attitude from them! They seem to not really care if they are being smart or just rude. So the reason that I had to take my car in was just because I needed to get my filter changed and they were going to check to see there was something wrong with my wheel bearing, so I would assume that would take a day or maybe 2 days max so why would they need to keep my car for a whole entire week!!?? Then when I first spoke with them before taking in my car they checked my warranty and they said it was all going to be covered and then when I'm physically there they said it's not because it had expired already by a month, so they can't do anything about it because it's not there fault!!?? So back to leaving my car there for a whole entire week I had to get a loaner. So I'm expecting to get a BMW as my loaner but am I completely wrong!!! He tells me that I'm going to be placed in a loaner from Hertz and I honestly thought he was joking! He tells me "I'm gonna go drop you off and you can drive back up here and get your stuff out of your car"!!! I don't think that I should be the one having to go back and forth just because he doesn't want to wait not even 5 min for me to get my stuff out! So he drivesme to the Hertz location that is behind there dealership kind of in My BMW and then he just lets me get off of my car and hands me a slip of paper to give to the guy at Hertz and drives off! So at this point I'm very upset because of the way I've been treated like if they are 10 times better then me but then I can't help but laugh when I see the two cars that they have parked in front of the door at Hertz. I'm thinking there is no way that they will put me in a Sentra or a Corolla since I'm driving a pretty nice car! Wow was i wrong! They absolutely did put me in a Corolla! I even asked if there was anything they could do to get me in a bigger car because I have kids and there is no way that we would fit and the guy said that they did have a midsize suv but I would have to pay for the difference because it wouldn't be covered! So I asked the service advisor why it is that they do that and he said in an attitude and looking down on my with pitty that "you have to buy BMW's new for you to get a BMW" (but this vehicle was a demo from Moritz) then he asks me "well what kind of a car did you have before this" and I said a Lexus IS300 and they didn't get where or how long you've had the vehicle or if you purchased it brand new, used, or as a demo you will always get a new Lexus as a loaner and you will get 10x better service!! I have always been completely happy with my Lexus and with all of the depts at Lexus! I originally wanted to purchase another one but my husband wanted to try something different so thats when we purchased this BMW and as soon as this happened with BMW he said "we are going to Lexus first thing when we get our BMW and trading out of it"!! We expected the same treatment or a little better from BMW but we were completely wrong! I advise you to get a Lexus and get treated all around from all of the depts and all of the employees 100x better! more

Go somewhere else 10/19/2009

I would not recommend buying a BMW from Moritz. My service experiance has been terrible. I spent an extra $2100.00 for an extended service plan and getting them to honor it has been a nightmare. Try Classic in Plano. I've purchased from them, as well, with much better results Pros: None Cons: Horrible service more

Sales and Service Very Good 7/21/2009

When looking for a car, visited Autobaun and Mortiz. Had a specific price point in getting a 5 series with specific interior. Gary at Moritiz really worked me a great deal and added additional Ipod connection at no cost. Since it was a pre-owned car, it had several issues that were fixed immediately. They have always proveded me with a loaner, which is a huge deal, when I brought my car in for service. Also, once filled the gas tank. :o) Plus, my car and the loaner they give me is always sent thru the car wash. So, yes the CAR WASH is back!! So far in my two months, they have taken very good care of me and look forward to purchasing another from them. Pros: Gary in Sales is exceptional and Service has been Great! Cons: Service is somewhat slow more

Very bad customer service. Don't keep their words 3/17/2009

Received very bad service in SERVICE and PARTS center . They don't know customer service, were very rude and least interested in resolving an issue. They don't hold on to their words and deny their statements made verbally. I haven't experienced such a customer service anywhere else. This is not the first incident I have experienced at Moritz BMW Arlington. The size of the dealership is no way close to the service offered. I will NOT go to this dealership anymore. Pros: large dealship Cons: The customer service is like very small dealers more

Best BMW experience ever! 9/5/2008

Moritz is the only place to do business, stay away from the dallas dealers! I've bought cars for years from Moritz, and deal with the same salesperson and service advisor for over ten years. They don't have the turnover of other stores and their people are always ready to go the extra mile. They were forced to discontinue their free car wash, bummer. But, it was a service they provided, it was never a part of any of my contracts. With the new stadium and the growth they have experienced they have stopped it for the time being because they could not provide that service and wash everyone's car that is in for service. I bet when they have the capacity, they'll bring it back. Either way, I won't go anywhere else! Pros: people Cons: none more
