July, 18,2013 My wife took her car in for service due to a light on and a coolant issue. She got the car back a time later and the same issues began once again. She opened the hood of the car to see that the connection of the radiator body had separated from the secondary connection, and a coolant leak took place again about 1/3rd gallon was replaced. But, she also noticed a Cut in the Top radiator hose and sitting beside that hose on a ""shelf"" inside the hood was a rusty old razor blade! And sure enough it looks as though someone has cut that main hose! So, she first speaks to M and he wont provide any help, according to her and she hands me the photo's and issues and a name to call. I call R and asked him what was going on and why these NEW Issues since we had brought the car in specifically to address the same issues? He told me that the radiator had been replaced, After Market, without the mounts. Therefore it separated from it's connection. And we had purchased a new one from another source which we no longer purchase from. So, Im told that the issues remain the same but NOW the car needs the top hose replaced and the radiator mounts replaced as well. ""Why didn't their Top Tech Spot these Problems to begin with"", I asked? How could he spot those problems was his reply. Well, seems that when he removed the Cap to the Radiator he would have seen it was not mounted properly since it simply shakes and bobs up and down just touching it."", I countered. He didn't supply a response just that nothing was done. So, nothing being done means more work on the car and possible damages beyond the original damages and thats the KEY issue here. Was there MORE damages done to the car? We doubt it since the second she saw the light she stopped the car and had it towed to the dealership. Not wanting to drive it even after replacing the missing fluid. Which was a good idea. About the Razor Blade he assured me he knew the TECH that worked on our car and that they don't do such things at their dealership. I asked him Well, could it have been someone that didn't like that TECH since we didn't do it and it was sure there and a cut had taken place. He of course had no answer and I simply suggested that someone there left that blade and someone MAY have cut that hose is all I offered. He also stated that his dealership refuses to accept any responsibility for any additional damages to the car due to these problems. Which I can Understand why he wouldn't. But, someone there left that blade and there IS a cut in that hose. So, as it stands we will be paying another $525 dollars to fix and CHECK to see if any further damages have taken place to the car. You Decide on what you would do and think about issues such as this that happen to this car.
