Moore Hair Design

I recently moved from out of state and was looking for a hair stylist for a cut and color. I did the research by reading reviews of different salons and stylists. I came across Camille at Moore Hair Design. In reading her reviews she was amazing and specialized in hair color. This was exactly what I was looking for. Even though she charged way more than other Utah hair salons, I felt it would be worth it for an amazing hair stylist. Unfortunately I was sorely disappointed. I have medium blonde colored hair that is fine in texture. I usually add blonde highlights to it so it will brighten it up. Camille did not match the color of my roots to my existing color. She had told me during the process that since my hair was already pretty light she didn't need to use bleach because it wasn't necessary. This did not work out. Now the bottom of my hair is one color, my roots are a second color and my new growth will be a third. This means to me that she isn't that knowledgeable with coloring hair. It seems pretty basic to me that a colorist would match your roots to your existing hair color. If not, what is the point? In addition I had specifically told her that while I was growing my hair out but I was fine with her taking off whatever she needed to ensure that all the damaged ends would be gone. Again this did not happen. Camille did cut my hair but I still have dry/split ends. What is even worse is that I take care of my hair and it was not that damaged to begin with. I just had dry/split ends from using a ceramic flat iron. Bottom line, I paid over $100 to have my hair cut and colored only to leave the salon with roots and dry ends. I also found out as I was leaving that Camille offers a 20% discount to return customers who give her a good review. Unfortunately I went to her based upon these reviews. I did not know they were given for trade. more

I got the best color and cut at Moore Hair Design!! Camille is a fabulous stylist, you HAVE to check her out. She took my hard to color hair and made it look beautiful and the cut she gave me made me feel 20 years younger! Plus her vivacious personality and great sense of humor made the time pass pleasantly and I really enjoyed her company. I highly recommend Camille at Moore Hair Design if you want to get a stylist who knows her stuff and is reasonably priced. The salon is beautfiully decorated and welcoming and really easy to find. I thoroughly enjoyed my experience there and plan on having Camille as my regular stylist from now on!! Thanks Camille for pampering me and making me feel beautiful :) more

I was in serious need of a new 'do but I know less than nothing about hairstyles. I gave Camille the basics of what I wanted (bangs, angles, shorter length) and then she worked her magic. When it came to my bangs, she cut them long and then gradually shortened them twice after asking me each time if I wanted to go shorter to make sure she wasnt cutting them shorter than I wanted. Camille ia a great communicator and listens to what I want before stating what she thinks...and what she thinks is always right! I trust her very much, even though I've only been to her twice, but the first time I went she stopped me from making a bad decision...once again, because I know nothing about hair. I highly recommend Camille to anyone who is looking for a new stylist and needs someone that knows what they are doing and can be trusted. Camille is awesome and I couldn't be happier with my new cut! more

I had an amazing experience there. After a girl totally butchering my hair at an Aveda salon, I saw Camille and she fixed it!! It looked 10 times better because of her! She was great at listening to what I wanted and converting what mess ups I had to what I wanted! Definitely going back from now on!! more

I had Sarah cut my hair last week at Moore Hair Design. She did such a great job! She was professional, on time, and has great attention to detail! Everywhere I have gone since I left I am getting compliments on my hair cut. It's the best cut I have ever had! more

Over the Holidays I visited my family in Utah. I was in desperate need of a cut and color. I had hesitations about going to a salon I had never been to before, so I got on city search and read the reviews. I decided to give Sarah a try. I have to say the reviews were completely correct. She was so polite and fun to talk with. I really felt comfortable, and well taken care of. My hair looked the best it has in years, it was almost embarrassing how much my family agreed :). The only negative feeling I had was that Sarah doesn't live in my state. However, I am keeping her card so I can use her whenever I come to town. That is a promise. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. more

Hello Everyone! Okay so there is this CUTE new salon on Fort Union BLVD and it ROCKS! If you need a new hair cut and want someone who listens to what you say and makes you look the way you want GO TO MOORE HAIR and ASK FOR SARAH! She made me feel so special and you know everyone wants to feel wonderful when they walk out of the salon doors... She will. I Promise. I love my new look and my new stylist. I would only take the time to do this if I really thought it was important for people to try this cute stylist out. SO GET UP OFF YOUR CHAIR AND GOOOOO!!!!! YOU KNOW YOU WANT A NEW LOOK! more

I have been stuck in a hair rut for years and settling with the same cut and color to stay safe. I move around a lot and it's impossible to find good stylists. A friend recommended this salon and I had the great fortune of being given an appointment with Annie Smith. I have really long hair and stay away from salons in fear that they get scissor happy when all I want is a trim. I needed to do an all-over color to cover the greys and trim the dead ends. Annie started out by spending quality time during her consultation listening to my needs, fears and concerns. Having long hair herself, she knows how girls with long hair don't want to chop it off! She spent time helping me pick out the perfect hair color for me. Something natural-looking but still bringing some life to my dead hairstyle. She took her time coloring every inch of my hair to make sure it was even and perfect. After the rinse, she cut my hair in a manner I have never witnessed. Only 3 inches total removed from the length and the process was perfection! I am a bit of a perfectionist so to have her do my hair to the T made me feel like she really understood me and wanted the end result to be beyond perfect! Once the cut was complete she helped style and curl my hair and even took the time to teach me how to do the curls myself!! The end result is UNBELIEVABLE. I love my hair, and have been neglecting it in recent months. She brought life back to my hair and I have fallen in love again! I will recommend her to every girlfriend and stranger. GO SEE ANNIE! She will work miracles!!!! more

So I was in Salt Lake visiting my sister form Arizona. I told her about the nightmare haircuts I had gotten since moving to my little town. She recommended Annie to me telling me that she was an amazing stylist. Mind you my layers looked awful, I had box colored my hair then used box color to fix it (a huge no no!) and it was growing back, and I was wearing my hair in a ponytail 24/7 to hide the hair I so deperately disliked. Annie was able to fix the layers without taking off too much hair. My hair now looks great and I wear it down all the time. She also suggested a great color that would look fun in my hair while growing back in looking alright. She was right. And to top it all off, when I got back to my little town (where everyone knows everyone) I got compliments from all over the place. I will go back to see Annie whenever I am in Salt Lake! more

ANNIE did my hair and she is AMAZING!! I have really coarse curly thick hair and even a salon that specializes in curly hair couldn't get my hair quite right. Annie listened to my concerns and cut my hair exactly how I wanted. When I get a good cut, I am impressed, but when a stylist can pull out of my unruly hair something this good, I have no choice but to call such stylist a Hair Whisperer. Annie is one such Hair Whisperer!! I don't dye my red hair cuz I like the color, and when I saw Annie she had red hair and I wasn't sure if it was dye or her color. Turns out she did it herself, and it looked very natural.... another test of a Hair Whisperer. Last, but not least, Annie's attention to customer service is unparalleled!! She recommended great products and even took the time to show me how to style my hair when I got home. I have never been to a stylist who cared so much! more

SO I JUST MOVED TO UTAH FROM LOS ANGELES, CA AND I WAS RECOMMENDED BY A CO-WORKER TO TRY THIS SALON OUT SO I READ THE REVIEWS AND EVERYONE IS CORRECT =] THE SERVICE IS AWESOME AND WELCOMING. SO I WAS A BIT NERVOUS GOING IN BUT ANNIE MADE ME FEEL CONFORTABLE AND DID EXACTLY WHAT I WANTED AND HELPED ME OUT WITH HAIR STYLES AND WITH THE HAIR PRODUCTS WHICH BY THE WAY ARE AWESOME BUT OVERALL I REALLY LOVE MY HAIR AND WILL CONTINUE GOING AND USING ANNIE AS MY HAIR STYLIST =] more

I always get nervous when I look for a new hairstylist. I have thick wacy hairy and it takes someone who knows how to cut wavy hair for me to feel like I have gotten a great cut. I have seen Moore hairdesigns on CitySerch and thought I would give it a try. It is a cute salon tucked inside Holiday. I made an appointment with Jessica and I am so glad that I did! She did a fabulous job of cutting my hair! I felt like a new woman when I left. She gave me a great cut and not only that, great converstation. I can hardly wait to go back and see what she can do with coloring my hair. more

I'm the type of person who has always been very stubborn with how my hair needs to be cut, that is until I came to Chelsey. I couldn't believe how relaxing and fun she makes the environment. She made me realize there is more than just a simple cut that can go into my hair. Her passion for her work allowed me to just let go and allow the artist do her thing, and it's different every time..and amazing. Chelsey pays attention to every detail and doesn't miss a beat while still maintaining a smile and happy attitude the entire time. It's as though every time she touches hair she's working on a new masterpiece. It's truly something to be proud of. Who would of thought that going to get your hair done could be such a great experience? I highly recommend anyone who wants to be happy with their hair go to Chelsey because it's more than just a hair appointment on Tuesday, it's something to look forward to. more

I loved this place! It's unique and very professional. I come from Dallas, TX... The land of blonde highlights... and haven't been able to find a decent highlighter since I moved here. Then I visited Moore Hair Design and they lived up to all my expectations. I even tried Salon O (rated number 1 for highlights) and they were awful! The lady I had messed up my foils and washed part of my hair while some was of it was still in foils... UGH! I've never had someone so bad... they must have purchased some ad space in order to gain that number one spot ;) Anyways, I asked for the best highlighter at Moore and they gave me Jessica! She was awesome!!! I have light brown hair and I usually have to get it touched up every month and a half. Well it's been 3 months and I'm about to make my next appointment! Not only was the highligh job cheaper than most places, Jessica saved me money by doing such a good job that they lasted twice as long as usual! I'm impressed. And I'm calling them for another appointment right now... more

Melinda is very good at her craft. Prior to her, I had been going to another stylist for 2 or 3 years. I stopped going to my previous stylist because she stopped paying attention to the details, and her work became hit and miss. I?ve noticed this happens with some stylists. Melinda has been my stylist for over 2 years now, and still her work excels. There are a few guys out there like myself who are picky when it comes getting their hair cut. Melinda is one of the better stylists at Moore Hair Design. She has great technique, double checks her work, and asks for your feedback to make sure she?s styling your hair exactly how you want it. She?s talented enough to be working in a pricier salon, but lucky for us her rate is very reasonable. Pros: Great color and cut. Reasonable rate. Cons: Salon lighting not the best. more

I really wanted something different but was really scared and she gave me the confidence and the push I needed to do it and it turned out amazing!!! Im so happy I went to Jessica!! She was great, made me feel welcome and just was totally awesome!!! Pros: She knew what she was doing Cons: None more

Kimberly Bailey @ Moore Hair Design...THE BEST! My hair stylist had quit who I'd been going to for year so I was super nervous to see any one new...As soon as I sat in Kimberly's chair I felt at ease...She asked a ton of questions, and made me feel very comfortable...During the 2 hours I was there it was like chatting with an old girlfriend, very enternaining...And the end product, I LOVE MY HAIR she did an amazing job on both the cut and the color looks so freaking cute, her weave technique is great the color looks blended and very pretty, and the cut was exactly what I asked for...before I left I made my next appt. To sum it up Kimberly was professional, does very good work and her prices are great...my new hair stylist is Kimberly Pros: Best Cut and Color I've ever had Cons: Can't think of any more

I've got thick, coarse, wavy hair and have always had trouble getting an even cut at other places but Melinda @ Moore Hair Design knew exactly what to do for me! I started going to Kimberly about a year ago. I recently moved from California and had my favorite hairstylist there. I knew finding the right hairstylist would be difficult. I am a photographer and was looking for a hairstylist for some of my models. I saw some of her work and was immediately impressed! Not only have I used her as my hairstylist for my photo shoots, but I go to her as well and have loved EVERY haircut! Kimberly is truly talented and also affordable.
