We hired Monster Movers locally from Worcester to Framingham. They were professional and overall the best movers I have ever used. Their trucks are all new and the crew was clean cut. They also gave us reduced storage for 2 weeks while we were in storage waiting for our new construction house to be finished. more

TERRIBLE 8/22/2012

they started off well saying how easy of a job it would be, and then when hit with the realization of what they actually had to do it became the hardest job, we hired them to move us into a 3rd floor apt, where they wouldhave to hoist up 2 beds, a dresser and mirror. after they moved everything in they then came to us and told us the price had changed, and it changed drastically... now wouldnt you think they would tell you this before actually moving any furniture into an apt? apparently not. they had 5 guys for the job and two of the 5 were kids basically, who went into our fridge and helped themselves to a 4 pack of Monster Engergy drinks which we did not offer to them, so they basically STOLE it... great company and then when trying to get in contact with someone at the company in regards to this was completely USELESS, and the lady hung up on us when confronted. they have a very poor lack of communication and i would never reccommend this company to anyone! more

AWFUL - DON'T USE - 8/21/2012

I'm glad I didn't have them do my move.... i called to get pricing info and spent a good 30 minutes on the phone with a gentleman who was very informative however, he told me to "hold" or book a date for a move i would need to give my credit card # and they would charge it $100.00 and if for some reason I need to change the date or cancel as long as it was 5 days before the scheduled move date i would get my deposit back. Well my move date kept getting pushed out so I called the 5 days before and spoke to a girl by the name of Sara and cancelled and she asked me if i wanted to reschedule and I explained the sitution. When i looked at my credit card statement there was the charge for $100.00 and no credit for the cancellation - after MULTIPLE phone calls to Sara she informed me that they don't give your $100.00 back!!!! she was not sure who I spoke to and who told me this but the owner will not refund my deposit - well so now I will post everywhere of their awful customer service and their sneaky ways to get money for doing NOTHING!!!! I will also be disputing this charge with my bank!!!!! more

Communicatiions were substandard, meeting dates and time frames provided were not done and the lost a piece of artwork and I had to chase them down to try and get an explanation. 8/5/2012

I engaged Monster Movers out of Worcester, MA for a very small move from South Grafton, MA to Palm City, FL. The move originally scheduled for July 12 pick up in Grafton. Described the contents as a few dozen boxes of household items, 3 small pieces of furniture (occasional tables) and approximately 10 pieces of art (pictures sent them) to be packed by Monster. Very shortly after giving them a deposit for the move, I called and changed it to July 10th. On July 9th I received a confirmaton call and was asked if we could change it to July 11th which I could not due to travel plans. The truck was suppose to be at the property in South Grafton at 8:30, at 8:30 they called and said it would be 9:30 (after I drove an hour to get there). The shipment was to be delivered on July 17th. I contacted them the morning of the 17th and was assured they were on schedule. I contacted them again mid afternoon to ask if they would be there by 5:00 pm if not could they deliver the next morning. I was told they would be there by 7:00 pm and if I could not accept delivery my belongings would go into storage, I would be charged and they would deliver sometime in the next few weeks. I agreed to a 7:00 pm delivery, but when I contacted them at 6:40 pm to determine if they were on track I was told to call the driver. When the driver and I finally spoke he hemmed and hawed and told me he would do his best to get there by 2:00 am, I told him NO WAY. They finally made an appointment to deliver Thursday morning which they did and on time. The driver was very pleasnt and well manneered and everything was unloaded in about 30 minutes. Very shortly after he drove away I notice a piecce of art work missing and called my Sales Rep immediately but got her voicemail. I then called the driver and he also said he would call my Sales Rep. After receiving no response all day the next day I called the main number and explained my situation, the gentleman said he would check with the Sales Rep and was also picking the driver up at the airport and would call me at 3:30. No call received by 4:30 so I called and was talked to like I was being unreasonable and was told he would call me Monday. Monday came and went and I called on Tuesday and was told the gentleman I needed to talk to was out of the office and he would try and locate him or my Sales Rep...NOTHING. On Wednesday I emailed my Sales Rep again and she FINALLY did respond that they don't know what happened to it but would send me a check based on weight for $6.00!!! The piece lost was a 32" hand blown glass bowl purchased in San Francisco. Shame on me for not insuring properly, but it's not even the loss of the bowl but the totally unprofessional and shoddy treatment provided by this company in the name of customer service. I have moved at least 10 times, some of them across the US, NEVER have I dealt with such poor communication and what they may call Customer Service. more

We had a different moving Company that canceled our local move as their truck broke down and they weren't sure if they could make it to our place. I called my cousin and he recommended this company that helped him with a move with a very short notice. I did call them and they did schedule the move for the next day. I guess everything that happens - happens from a reason because this company's crew was fantastic. They were very polite and respectful. I'm thankful for the work they've done for me and my family. I thought they may charge me more than expected because it was a last minute move and I didn't have a chance to get everything in writing. The crew came in a large moving truck and at first I was nervous because there were only 2 movers but they gave it their best college effort and did the move faster than my last company said it would take 3 men. I will recommend Monster Moving in the future because of their great crew and they are honest. Thanks, Ron more

This moving experience was a complete nightmare! Local move, 1st floor, 1 bedroom apartment. I had already moved ALL of my clothing and electronics on my own. Most of my stuff was going in storage (provided by them). To begin with, they showed up a day later than I booked, which wasted a whole day for me. Offered $50 off and a third guy for the next day, which would have worked out except all 3 guys that showed up the next day (no uniforms, all very young, in an Enterprise truck) kept disappearing into the truck (the back, the cab) for smoke breaks, personal phone calls, one had a friend actually swing by. All 3 guys complained the whole time about the heat (it was 72). It took 3 guys 4 hours to load the very little stuff I had. My 65 year old mother and I could have done it faster. They stopped for lunch on my time (during which I had time to go to the new place, shower, have lunch..) \r \r All in all I was charged for 9 hours with 3 guys (quoted 4 hours with 2 guys). I was also charged 4x what i was quoted for the storage unit. I was not allowed to follow the guys back to the storage facility to oversee my things being put away, and had no choice in which or what size unit they put me into.. They forced me into a 10x15 unit (huge!!). Again, I was coming from a small (700sq) 1 bedroom apt, 2 weeks later I moved my things to a 5x15 unit with shorter ceilings and I have room to spare.\r \r When I called to complain about the service I received, I got 2 sentences in before the OWNER himself started swearing and screaming at me. Among the obscenities that were said to me: ""If you want to be f***ing sarcastic, I can be f***ing sarcastic!"" - this was the response when I expressed surprise over the size of the unit they made me get, again, the OWNER. He also told me that he had ""taken a few psychology courses and knew I was obviously upsetl over something besides the move"", when I told him I would be removing my things he tried to apologize by telling me I was ""too emotional and should have waited to call until I was rational about the situation"" (please understand I didn't get emotional until I was screamed at and swore at by someone who had possession of most of my belongings, and even then it was just me bursting into tears). He also admitted at this point that he knew that I would have fit in a smaller storage unit.\r \r As I said, 2 weeks later I removed my items to a different storage unit eating the cost of yet another rental truck and more storage fees. When I arrived to collect my items from my storage unit with this company, not only did my belongings only fill 1/3 of the unit they made me use, but they had someone else's things in my unit!! There was a grill, several mattresses, a couple bureaus, bookcases all of which did not belong to me!!!! This means someone else had access to my things, as well as I had access to theirs. This whole experience has been a complete nightmare, reducing me to tears several times. \r \r Additionally, this company claims to have an A rating with the BBB on their website, but not only is that not true, they aren't even accredited anymore! Monster Movers Review local move 6/3/2012

We used Monster Movers last month for a local Shrewsbury move and I am beyond satisfied with the service and attitude. Monster Movers were very professional, polite, not pushy, honest about any changes , and easy to work with. I believe the cost I paid was fair and affordable. Afterwards, I received a follow-up call from a customer service dude and that was also helpful because I got to go over my bill again and ask any questions I had. Use them. It was worth it. more

Worst Movers Ever 5/15/2012

I'd give them negative stars if it was an option!!! Do not use to move long distance!! Showed up in a Budget rent a truck, arrived at new house three days late, when we called to see when they were going to deliver we were told there was a problem with the truck that needed to be fixed before they left. A phone call would have been nice. They picked up two locals to help the driver unload, even though they claim all the workers are Monster employees. When they opened the truck we could tell it had been unloaded and then reloaded by someone who had no idea how to pack a truck. Many items damaged, everything was filthy, footprints on our furniture, broken and missing items. We paid extra for insurance and they are trying to buy us off for $200.00. Very unprofessional company. We will be filing a suit against them. more

Good Choice for Movers in Boston 5/8/2012

I've moved so many times, it's crazy. Back in March of 2012, I had to move very very quickly; I was getting out of a terrible relationship and basically needed to pack in a day, and schedule a move asap. Cue Monster Movers, coming in to save the day. I called on a Monday for a consult. I explained the whole situation, which was rather sensitive, and the office receptionist said ""I know just who to send to help you. He's dealt with this sort of situation before and will be able to help you out."" They came on Tuesday, gave me a quote of around $1K for a move on Friday, and were super flexible with the idea that, since the move was so fast, I might have to put things in storage for a while or I might have an apartment lined up. I managed to find an apartment, and rescheduled the move for the following Monday when it would be ready. No problem on Monster Movers's end. On moving day, my ex wasn't supposed to be around. Of course, he showed up, and lo and behold; the movers (and the company must have sent the three largest guys they had) must have been made aware of the situation, and kept engaging me in order to keep me busy and thus keep my ex from talking to me. They got my belongings packed into the truck - including a baby grand piano - in a little under 2 hours. When we arrived at my new place, one of them actually asked ""Okay, so... do we need to kick the guy's ass, or what?"" Some people wouldn't have appreciated the comment, but at that point, it made me laugh and put me at ease and they definately meant it to be funny - not serious. I appreciated that the company took so much time to make everyone aware of the situation, and that the movers were trying so hard to put me at ease in what was a pretty crappy situation. more

Moved Massachusetts to Florida - great price for interstate movers 4/13/2012

We moved from Massachusetts to Florida in December 2011. They sent two trucks down to Florida, packed us up and sent our vehicle. Overall I would definately recommend these movers more

Monster Movers were great. They showed up when they were supposed to, moved everything out on time, and everything's been good so far. We're remodeling a house, so they moved everything into storage for us, and we plan to have them back in a month when we're done. more
