AFTER TEN YEARS, WILL NEVER GO BACK 11/11/2011

I AM SHOCKED to see reviews stating this vet is inexpensive... THEY ARE OUTRAGOUSLY EXPENSIVE & all the middle aged women behind the counter and the middle aged office manager are all horrible people.. I DONT KNOW WHAT THE HECK THE OWNER OF THIS PLACE IS THINKING.. They are rude and ignorant. THERE ARE 300 OTHER VETS IN THIS AREA, DOES HE NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE?? YOU HAVE TO PAY FOR TESTS UP FRONT AND THEN YOU CAN NEVER GET THE RESULTS OF THE TESTS.. I CALL FOR DAYS AND THEY ALWAYS TELL ME THEY ARE BUSY AND I AM GOING TO HAVE TO WAIT MY TURN.. THEN, DAYS LATER, THEY CANT TELL ANYTHING BY THE BLOOD TESTS, SO THEY TELL YOU TO COME BACK AGAIN AND GET AN XRAY, AND CHARGE YOU FOR ANOTHER OFFICE VISIT AND THEN IT IS DAYS AND DAYS AGAIN BEFORE YOU GET THE RESULTS OF YOUR PETS XRAY.. IN THE MEANTIME, YOU PET IS DIENG, BECAUSE IT IS NOT EATING OR DRINKING AND LOOSING WEIGHT LIKE CRAZY.. THE PEOPLE HERE NO LONGER CARE ABOUT THE PETS, IT IS STRICKLY ALL BUSINESS TO THEM... more

THE STAFF HERE IS HORRIFIC, THE PRICES OUTRAGEOUS 11/8/2011

THE VETS SEEM NICE ENOUGH.. BUT THE STAFF IS HORRIFIC.. THE PRICES OUTRAGEOUS.. I HAVE BEEN GOING HERE FOR TEN YEARS AND IT KEEPS GETTING WORSE AND WORSE.. THEY STAFF HAS TREATED ME SO BADLY, I FINALLY STOPPED GOING.. I REALIZED THERE ARE HUNDREDS OF VETS IN MY AREA.. WHY DO I KEEP SUBJECTING MYSELF TO THE HORRIBLE STAFF AT THIS PLACE.. AND I PAY $200 EACH YEAR FOR EACH OF MY CATS TO HAVE THEIR ANNUAL EXAM.. I HAD TO PAY $200 TO HAVE A CAT PUT TO SLEEP.. I HAVE PAID $200 FOR A CAT TO HAVE ONE TOOTH REMOVED.. THESE PRICES SEEM HIGH TO ME AND I AM SHOCKED WHEN I READ OTHER REVIEWS STATING THIS VET IS SO CHEAP.. NOW I REALIZE THERE MUST BE DIFFERENT PRICE SCALES FOR DIFFERENT PEOPLE... THE STAFF IS ALWAYS RUDE AND DOES NOT CARE AT ALL ABOUT THE ANIMALS.. THE VETS SEEM TO CARE.. THEY ARE NICE, BUT SHORT AND CURT AND THE APPOINTMENTS ARE VERY SHORT.. ONTO THE NEXT I GUESS !!!! more

Best Vets Ever! 9/3/2011

My pets have seen both Drs Wajda and Ball. They are the most caring and knowledgeable doctors you could ever hope for and the prices charged are so reasonable compared to many other places. We have been to many a vet but here is great! We like how they take a special interest in each one of our pets and how when necessary they have consulted with other doctors outside their clinic but in their field for additional ideas. The office staff too is awesome! Each one has been polite and sincerely interested in our pets. Thank you so much!!!! more

Beyond Amazing Service! 2/23/2011

Finding a Vet who has the knowledge to offer routine Check-ups and Vaccines for Ferrets is few and Far between. I have 5 Ferrets and after today's visit for updates on Dis-Temper and Yearly check-ups, I have never been so pleased in all my life. From the amazing Vet-Tech who assisted us to Dr. Wadja herself, I'll never go anywhere else. The prices are wonderful - I walked out from what used to cost me $500 at a 'Specialist' up North for the same thing - spending only $187, to which is beyond generous and saved me a small fortune. Their knowledge, compassion and understanding is priceless. For anyone who has Ferrets, or any animal of any kind, I would hands down recommend Mokena Animal Clinic. They're well versed in the signs of Adrenal, Insulinoma and know their facts. They wont take you to the cleaners and they are genuinely concerned for the well being of your Fur-Friends, not your wallet. I will never go anywhere else! more

awesome care 1/21/2011

I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! I have 2 Boston Terriers and receive excellent care for them. My dogs are so precious to me and the Drs. at the clinic treat them very kindly and with such compassion. I have recommended Mokena Animal clinic to many friends and neighbors, all of whom are very happy with their pets care. Dr Ingimire is incredible! What a wonderful vet and Man! more

Confident my pets are getting the best care possible... 8/18/2009

I love Dr Kate and Dr Mary Beth and the front desk staff and vet techs are all very nice. I have just one complaint. I think $20.00 is a ridiculous fee for a nail trim. It took them all of 2 minutes...that's $10.00 a minute! So although I love them for everything else, this left a very bad taste in my mouth especially since I have 6 pets that I bring there for care and I live quite a distance from the office. I've been going there for about 4 years and I was not a happy camper when I left there. I shouldn't have voiced my surprise & anger at the girls at the desk, it just came out....I was flabbergasted! more

We love Mokena Animal Clinic. Everyone, from the staff to the vet's are knowledgeable, gentle, and kind. This is the only place we will ever take our dogs for routine or emergency care! more

Mary Beth W. is the best Vet!!! 11/11/2008

This is my vet. I was looking up their phone number on line and saw the reviews and was curious. I have been coming here for at least 3 years. They were recommended to me by my friend who comes here. I used to be a vet tech, prior to becoming a nurse, and needed a new place to go since the vet I worked for retired. I met Mary Beth and she is just wonderful. After many years of working with at least 6 different vets and going to several different ones thru my military years-she stands out 2nd from the top. (My first choice would be my retired vet I worked for.) If your looking for cheap prices there are discounted clinics out there...Chicago Ridge Animal Pound has this...they are cheap..the place is not very nice looking ...it is a first come first served...I have been there for the price and after being treated like a number and the vet was not very personable, I decided to pay a little bit more for a better environment. This place is out of it's mind. Rabies/distemper/feline lukemia yearly shot/checkup for $98!!! WHAT A RIP OFF. They mark those shots up like you wouldn't believe - shop around. more

Woudn't go anywhere else 12/31/2007

We've taken all our dogs to Mokena Animal Clinic for years! I have been extremely happy with the warm, caring vets and our dogs have received excellent care. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! more

Unhappy 11/25/2007

I had been taking my dog(s) here for 20 years, my current dog had problems with limping and for 2 years I asked for x-rays, but no one would take them to find out what was wrong. I had a disagreement with the office manager and pulled my dogs records; wouldn't you know it, a few weeks later my dog was in so much pain I ended up at the ER. I found a new vet and they took x-rays and told me that my dog has a degenerative disc problem and arthritis in her knee; this should have been caught long ago, but Mokena didn't do x-rays. I am glad I found a CARING VET. The OFFICE STAFF at Mokena was rude, snotty and of no help to me. I WOULD NEVER BRING ANOTHER ANIMAL HERE! more

After bringing my dogs here five years ago I have never gone elsewhere. The doctors are world-class and always extremely helpful. I now have 7 pinschers and they all come to M.A.C.! more

Great Veterinary Care 8/9/2006

I had five cats and a dog that needed to be cared for and given shots. Mokena Animal Clinic helped me to better afford the shots through their multiple animal discount program. The care each animal received was great and always prompt. more

Excellent care for your pets 2/12/2006

The Mokena Animal Clinic is conveniently located on 191st and LaGrange right off of the I-80 expressway. The veterinarians are excellent and the prices are the best in the area. I loved that the vet was honest with me about what shots are required and necessary for my dog/lifestyle. I never was told about some shots being optional at other vets. The facility is very clean. The people at the desk are pleasant. They also offer kennel and grooming services. All around a great place! more

Great care at reasonable prices 6/23/2005

Mokena Animal Clinic is a caring, compassionate vet. They do not recommend any unnecessary tests or vaccines. Their prices are not out of line. I had to put down one of my cats and they were very understanding. I even received a sympathy card from them. I have been going to them for over 8 years with various pets and I have never been disappointed. Their front desk people are nice and polite. Their vets and assistants are also very nice and polite. It is also a VERY clean facility. more
