How could anyone not like ice cream?? It?s Un-American. The best part is that you have total control over the creative process when choosing flavors. I love it, my kids love it everyone enjoys ice cream on a hot day. Can?t beat it hands down! more

I love the flavors and combinations you get to choose from. They have every kind of ice cream you can think of and the toppings are great. From chocolate chips to gummy worms and fresh fruit you cant go wrong at this location. A+! more

Everyone's quite mad for Mitchell's and why pray tell? I mean it's pretty good, sure, but it's not exemplary. I suppose the fact that they're a local company is a good thing, and San Franciscans do appreciate a good thing, but they're just good, you know? Not exactly excellent. more

Forget picking the ideal warm sunny day perfect for munching on ice cream. When you are accustomed to highs in the 40s, such a day in San Francisco is a mere rarity. Yet there is a place where people flock to devour their favorite sub-zero treat. You?ll find this oasis of flavor at a place called Mitchell?s. A Little Over-Hyped for average Ice Cream 8/4/2008

We stopped at mitchells after dinner while visiting san fran. I was hoping for something really special and from the line forming I was sure. However I was a little disappointed in the taste. I had the mexican chocolate which as a nice cinnamon flavor but all the other flavours I tried were just sweet tasting to me. I expected more of the real fruit taste or mint flavor, etc, to come through. Was fun to try but wouldn't go again. I've had much better in Italy and Vancouver. Pros: family business serving the community, service, price Cons: ice cream too sweet more

What's there to say but BINGO! 11/7/2006

Shall I repeat it? It's the bomb. (why do I have to write 100 characters for this review to be published? This place only needs one word, and that's excellent. What more can I say?....""...Oh, the chocolate is made with exotic blends of South African and Venezuela chocolate morsals, and I'm sure no animals were harmed in the proccurement of it, nor was there any testing done on animals.) Mitchell's ice cream is so good...I usually go for something with chocolate and either caramel or peanut butter, but I was just there and got the seasonal pumpkin. It tasted like pumpkin pie, and I can say is mmmmmmmmmm. more
