Since the first time I went to Mission Viejo Transmission I have been impressed. Beyond the great service and feeling appreciated something to this day stands out as being my best experience. My sister was going away to school so my dad told us to get her car checked before her road trip to Arizona. We naturally took the car to Kevin and, not only did he check everything to make sure it was safe, but he went a step further. He asked my sister what she would do if she got a flat tire and had no cell phone service. You guessed it. He took over an hour to show her how to change her tire, BY HERSELF !!! He never touched anything but was right there to show her how to do it and encourage her. He also showed her how to check and add oil, coolant, power steering, brake, and transmission fluid. As she was washing her hands with a big proud smile on her face, Kevin walked up and gave her his card with his cell phone number on it and told her to call anytime day or night if she has a car problem. That was 8 years ago and my sister still has his card in her purse. On the back of the card he wrote ""I am proud of you, Good Luck in school !!!"" That is why I give Mission Viejo Transmission 5 stars !!! Our whole family will never take their cars anywhere else. Thank you Kevin. more

Being in the auto repair business is the last thing that I thought I would be doing after graduating college. I knew I wanted to do something that was challenging, but also, something with the public. I knew I was a good listener, I knew I was compassionate, I knew I could be calm in the worst of circumstances, I knew that no matter what I did, that I would do it well and I would do it right. Through the last 31 years of being in this business I have met thousands of people. I have made lifelong friends, I have laughed and cried with customers, I have brought them dinner and groceries when I saw the need, I have visited them in hospitals and in rest homes, I have fund-raised for families, given away reliable vehicles, I installed an elevator in a house for a family with two boys with muscular dystrophy after raising over $28,000 to do it, and I have been the comfort to three customers/friends on the last days of their lives. I had the absolute honor of speaking at the funeral of Phil Stassi whom I can still see smiling so big his eyes would close. I would never have met Phil had it not been for running an auto repair shop. So, running a business, especially a family run business like Mission Viejo Transmission, is a gateway to the more important things in life. When I started this shop in 1990, my kids were just babies. They did all the things that kids do. I have a family just like you do. Knowing that the shop was an important job, I took it seriously and have been rewarded by meeting the best people ever. I know what it is like to run a household, I know what it is like to struggle, I know what it is like to sweat out expenses, I know what it is like to be treated fairly, but, most of all, I know what it is like to feel good about doing business with someone who cares about you. I had Mission Viejo Transmission put a new transmission in my vehicle about eighteen months ago. About a year ago I took it in for service. Some problems had come up and my check engine light came on. I called Kevin and told him what was going on and he told me to bring it in so he could take a look at it. I asked him how much it was going to cost me and he told me it was still under warranty and there was no cost to me, which is always the best price! They delivered as promised and had it ready for me by the end of the business day. I have definitely recommended them to other people. Mission Viejo Transmission really is a stand up company. There is no guess work with them. I have been using them the 1980's, so really since I was a kid. They are a people of integrity, and Kevin is a man of integrity. I never have to worry , because if something doesn’t get fixed, Kevin is a man of his word. They do business like it should be done. I would highly recommend them. They are great guys, and it is easy to do business with them. I can't say enough about them; they bend over backwards for their customers. I was treated very well by Kevin, so well, and it was something that he didn't have to do, something else no one ever did. That just goes to show what type of person Kevin is. We've been going to Kevin at Mission Viejo Transmission for a little over a year, maybe two years now. We have four daughters, and they all brought their cars there too. Mr. Hurley, I wish to convey to you and your entire staff of expert auto technicians the highest appreciation words can express. In all my years of working with various automobile repair facilities, Mission Viejo Transmission (MVT) has always performed "over and above" in all facets of auto repair and the accompanying business requirement of Customer Service. MVT has reconditioned/rebuilt three transmissions for cars which, for me, are of particular value. These three vehicles: a 1978 Lincoln Mark V (a classic in its own right), a 1996 Chevrolet Corvette LT-1, and a 1996 Ford Explorer. Without exception, each and every one of these vehicles, when they left your shop, again functioned as though they were new. Furthermore, you have always offered to garage these cars at night, and in some situations even had them washed -- gestures I have never experienced from any other auto repair facility - EVER! As an employee of the Immigration & Customs Enforcement (ICE) arm of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), it is imperative my personal vehicles be in tip top shape. I cannot stress this point enough! Thus I can say, with all honesty, MVT is "doing its part" with regard to the mission of DHS adn ICE, and the United States of America as a whole. That said, I would like to pass along to any new customers you may acquire, the certainty their vehicles will be released to their owners with the same manner of efficiency, honesty, integrity, and customer service. I can say this with complete certainty because this is what I have personally experienced with MVT over the past several years. Additionally, with the above point in mind, I would be honored if you would consider me to be a contact point for anyone who visits MVT that I may personally express my certainty their experience will be as I have illustrated above. We have had great experiences every time we take our car to Mission Viejo Transmission. Whether we are there for something that is not working, or if it is due for a checkup, Kevin is always extremely thorough. I had the bad experience of going to the dealer and having them say I needed new brakes. I took it to Kevin, and he told me I absolutely did not need them. 10,000 miles later and I am still driving with no brake problems. We started going over there about 3 years ago. I have a 1997 Camry, and the previous shop I had been to told me that it wouldn't last much longer. They said that I needed to put at least $5,000 into it. I brought it to Kevin for the first time, and he told me that was ridiculous. I might have paid him $300 for repairs, and now the car has around 190,000 miles and it is still going strong. He told me not to even worry about the power steering leak, just keep fluid in it. Three years ago the other shop told me it was going to die. I can trust Mission Viejo Transmission; they are honest. They tell me what needs to be done. I am the daughter of a car dealer, and I don't like to get the run around. I like honesty, and I usually have a feel about what things are right or wrong. I have used Mission Viejo Transmission several times for about 4 years. They have worked on my transmission, done my brakes and air conditioning, and given my vehicle tune ups. The quality of their work is fine. There was one problem with our air conditioner, but they corrected and fixed it. I would recommend them. I had a mechanic I had used for 30 years, but I had an emergency transmission problem. A friend recommended Mission Viejo Transmission, and I went there because I had to get it fixed fast. Kevin gave me a truck, unloaded all the saddles from my van, put them in the truck, and had my transmission done in a day and half. Now I go back all the time for everything and have been using them for 3 or 4 years. I have switched over entirely. Kevin follows through, is friendly, responsible, and reliable. He solves all my problems. If anything goes wrong, which it hasn't, I know he would always check it out. He is always pleasant to work with. He is a really great person. He is family oriented, and often talks about his family. The service is reliable and fast, he gets me in and out as quickly as possible. They are all courteous and considerate. My experience with Mission Viejo Transmission goes back a number of years. I had a problem with my transmission, and Kevin solved that very nicely. Then a few years later I had an engine blowout, and they installed an engine for me. Since that time they have taken care of all needs. I have an old car, a 1985 300Z, and she is my baby. They have taken such good care of it. I highly recommend Mission Viejo Transmission; Kevin has been fantastic. They are prompt and give an accurate time frame which you can rely on. That is very important. They are good. If they can't do the job there, they can find someone who can do the job. more

I had a Toyota, at least 10 years ago, and I was going to another garage. My transmission went out, but his price was so high I couldn't afford to get it done. I called Kevin, at Mission Viejo Transmission, by accident, just because he is a transmission shop. He did a very good job with the transmission; he gave me a two year warranty, and did it for $1,000 less. After that I had the car for at least 4 or more years, and it was still running good when I got rid of it. I bought a 2006 Honda in 2005, and Kevin has been doing everything I need for that car since then. All my family goes to him now. Mission Viejo Transmission is quick; they do a good job in a shorter period of time than most. I would recommend him highly. When I need something I don't hesitate to call. I will even stop by just to have them check my air, and he doesn't charge me for little things like that. more

Mission Viejo actually got to the scene and helped her before I got there. They got her stabilized, dropped her off to get her hair done, took the car to the shop, and fixed it. They found out that the problem was a brake issue and fixed it even though they specialize in transmissions. We are pretty dedicated to Mission Viejo Transmission. If we have any issues or concerns, no matter how large or small, they will check it out for us. If there is an issue with work that they have done they will take it back and take care of it immediately with no charge. We have referred them to many family and friends. more
