Best

I have purchased 5 new Forresters from Mike Shaw, for family members. So,since they know me, I can understand why I might have a better buying experience than some people. But, I ...

Worst

After an oil change and car inspection, I was missing a cover from my tire. Another day, I found my dip stick on my windshield, but did not realize it was mine since I noticed it ...

Bad dealer 5/16/2009

unacknowledged sales person....not at all competitive on price. Bought identical car at Valley in Longmont for $2300 less than what Shaw wanted. more

typical rip-off dealer 4/30/2009

I was shown wrong invoice and layed to from steve at this dealer it cost me $4k more for the same car. Do not use this slime bag dealer, go to boulder. Do not trust their "price guarantee" or you will need a lawyer (more many to spend). RUN AWAY FROM THESE JURKS more

typical dealer rip-off 2/23/2009

visited Mike-Shaw Subaru’s lot and I was greeted and assisted by two Mike Shaw employees that promised to price this car as COSTCO car purchase program. I liked the 2009 Subaru Outback 2.5XT limited that I test drove but mistakenly trusted Mike Shaw-Subaru for a respectable car dealer as we negotiated sales price and terms for this new car. One shady thing the salesmen requested that we signed a paper to show our interest into the car when he submitted a price to his boss I should had left. I purchsed that car at much higher cost then promissed. DO NOT GO TO THIS DEALER. YOU WILL GET RIPPED OFF. more

TYpical rip-off dealer 2/23/2009

Go Somewere else, avoid this delaer at all cost. You will not regreat this advice. Summary: lied to make the sale, poor customer support, I think short life for this car dealer with such methods. High pressure sales. visited Mike-Shaw Subaru’s lot and I was greeted and assisted by two Mike Shaw employees that promised to price this car as COSTCO car purchase program. One shady thing the salesmen requested that we signed a paper to show our interest into the car when he submitted a price to his boss I should had left. I basically purchased the car at that cost. What a rip-off. The purchsed price was not the promised price. more

Rude, Crude and Unkind 2/11/2009

I bought my car, unfortunately from Mike Shaw's Subaru, the salesman, Steve S. (avoid him at all costs) was very helpful until it came time to negotiate the price. At such time he became totally unavailable. Nothing about the sale went smoothly, including delivery. I tried to speak with the owner, to no avail. The people who answered the phone just put me on hold. So stressful!!! In this market, they are lucky to have anyone buy a car from them. And I am sorry I did! more

Mike Shaw Subaru Service Experience 7/14/2006

First of all, the Service department at Mike Shaw Subaru in Thornton is much smaller than most dealerships from an appearance perspective. I did not count the service bays, but there are only two service writers as you walk in the door. They are both pleasant. I was taking my car in for it's first oil change and I also had a question about getting new wiper blades put on. I ended up being written up by the manager of the Service and Parts department. He was very nice. I do not remember his name. I proceeded to show him my coupon that I had received in the mail for $15.00 oil change and then started ask him what it would cost to get new wiper blades while explaining that the car was new but had been on the dealer lot for 6 months prior to purchase and the wipers were already dried out. He said to me, "Hey, the first one's on us and we'll throw some new blades on their on us as well". So I walked out of there without any out of pocket expenses and pleasantly surprised. The only bummer in the whole experience was that it took almost an hour to change the oil. This is something that Jiffy Lube can do in 5-10 minutes once your car is on the rack and i have yet to find a car dealership that can do it in less than 45 minutes. more
