Glad to have found on Judy's Book. Friendly staff, good at handling insurance, and pleasant doc who is knowledgeable and proactive.

Worst

Had a bad dental service experience at Midfield Dental. Receptionists were not very friendly. Followup visits for improperly fitting dentures yielded no results. Not pleased at...

I would just like to say Dr Graves is awesome. I don't feel comfortable with many people and he made me comfortable about getting my dentures I would recommend to everyone more

HAD ben using midfield dental for years had recommend to others after last time there will not be going back I Found in the end , pricing had not being fully explain by staff , I did not appreciate the gotcha moment with the pricing at all . IF I had knowing what the true price was in the beginning would have going elsewhere , the place has changed from what it use to be now is a lot less professional . more

This place is horrible. My son in law went in there yesterday to have two teeth pulled. He has a really bad gag reflex so my daughter told them when she made the appointment that he would need sedation. The staff and the dentist was very rude. He told them he was suppose to have sedation and the dentist said he didn't know anything about that. My son in law said well I'm telling you I need it. Well they pretty much said tuff and did not sedate him. They only pulled one tooth. He kept gagging so they couldn't pull the other one. I will make sure that I tell everyone I know what a horrible place this is. I am also going to call them and give them what for. This is my kid and he is in pain and its obvious that they do not care about the patient. more

Let me leave in so much pain I was almost in tears. No pain meds no numbing it up. Dr didn't even\r \r Look in my mouth. One hour after I left my gum split wide open no dentist are open. That robbed me\r \r and let me suffer the blond got a good chuckle about it. I will see them all in court after\r me and my lawyer call the board of dentistry more

\r This was the worst experience of my life went in to have dentures made tried to tell me they couldn't do it because I would have to have surgery on my gums first said the dentures wouldn't fit or stay in tried to charge me another 6 hundred dollars I told them no just to make the plate they did and it was obvious they could have cared less about how I looked they used what looks like kids teeth very small and they are crooked I need braces on my dentures they fit fine just look stupid and cost 300 to look stupid I think the place should be shut down and their license pulled they sure don't need to be working on anyone's teeth and if you care about what you look like don't go there more

Ii thought this place 5/19/2012

Ii thought this place sucked....HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! Ithought the dental assistant,dentist and front desk lady was rude. I went it with an absest tooth and a dry socket and I left with an absent tooth and drysocket I will not be going back nor will I refer them to anybody...use Dr.stoner in gardendale...he's great! He's closed on Fridays is y I had to Go somewhere else:( more

Best Dental Office in Birmingham! 9/16/2011

My kids and I really enjoy going to Midfield Dental Center. The office is always so clean and neat, we are in and out pretty quickly, and the staff is just wonderful. They are so gentle on the kids and on me too! We've had our share of cavities, but my children are not scared to come to the dentist anymore, they really like coming to Midfield Dental and that means the world to me! more

BEWARE 2/1/2011

I first come to this dental center about 10 years ago and I had the worst experience of my life. I should have known better than to go back and give it another chance the other day. The first time I went 1n 2001, the dentist who is no longer there was rude and rushed the whole time. I was there to get a crown on a front tooth and when he tried to take the temporary one off, he pulled so hard that it went flying across the room. He simply looked at the assistant, laughed, and said "Oops, that's not good." as if it were funny. It also broke my original tooth and I had problems for years keeping the permanent crown on. Now recently, I went to have a tooth pulled and when the dentist began the procedure, I could feel everything. He supposedly numbed me up but I definitely could not tell. The pain was excruciating and he didn't seem to care about being too rough. I was in tears and told him I thought I needed to be numbed up again but he replied" he was almost done." I recommend this office to anyone. The front desk is courtesy and nice always smiling and the assistants are prompt and get you back in a timely manner. I've never had a problem always super swerve and helpful more

Midfield Dental Clinic Birmingham,AL 10/14/2010

The office is located in a run-downn area of Midfield Birmingahm, AL (off Bessemer Superhwy). I had the worst experience at this dental office. The dental hygienist did not introduce herself or give eye contact to me. She held conversations with the other hygienist, who were working on other people, the entire time that she cleaned my teeth. Sooo rude and unprofessional. The dentist, Dr. Chambers, did not introduce himself either. He was very sacrastic and unprofessional.Also, the dental area seemed dirty,old, and unkept. It was a complete waste of time. Do not believe the other so-called positive comments. I truly believe that the staff wrote posted positive reviews of their own office. I am a hard working professional, and I would not have written this review unless it was very important to me. more

Great! 7/24/2010

I love this place. Everyone is so nice. I got my wisdom teeth taken out here. The denist i had originally scheduled an appointment with me called and canceled on me last minute after i had already asked off work for the surgery. So i called midfield dental and they got me an appointment for the very next day. They saved me alot of money and pain. Thanks! more

I have been going to Midfield Dental for years and have always found their staff very courteous. Their doctors are helpful and gentle. They actually seem to care about each patient. I don't like going, but I will always recommend them to all my friends. more

My experience at Midfield Dental Center 1/14/2008

I have use Midfield Dental Center and was completely repulsed. There was blood on the chair and suction handle. The people acted as if they were inconvenienced by me. I would not reccomend this place to anyone, nor wil I ever go back. more

Poor Customer Service 10/16/2007

My mother had extractions done with her regular dentist and called Midfield Dental to have dentures made, because her mother and father had their dentures made at Midfield Dental and were satisfied. She had the extractions done on a Monday, called Midfield and got an appointment for the next day. When my mother went to her appointment, she was told she would have to wait 6 to 8 weeks. They collected a $48 office visit fee and sent her on her way. I was told by the office that because the doctor looked in my mother's mouth, and office visit was charged and would not be refunded. I expressed that it was unethical for them to charge an office visit for information that could have been given over the phone. Bethany hung up in my face. When my mother spoke with the office manager, the office manager hung up in her face. We called Gardendale Dental to make an appointment and the staff told us to wait 2 to 3 weeks and gave suggestions to help her gum heal properly. I wish my mother had called Gardendale first and she would have save her time and money. more

There for your dental needs! 11/11/2005

My family and I have used the services of Midfield Dental Center and have always been pleased. Due to our busy schedule this dental group has been a godsend as they except walk-ins. They also have extended evening and weekend hours. They have very competent professional staff. They accept most medical insurances. more
