Do not make the same mistake I did--do not take your vehicle to the Midas in Roseville, MN on Snelling Avenue.

Totally great experience! 3/7/2012

I recently had to take my teenage son's car in to replace everything in the exhaust system from under the passenger seat on back ( pips, muffler, etc). It's can old car he saved up for and bought himself; was afraid the repair would end up costing more than the car. Happily I was wrong. The total repair, including an oil change that I requested, came in far under what I expected. As a mom raising a son on her own, this was MUCH appreciated. We dropped the car off on a Sunday night, left the keys and a note in the drop box, they contacted me by 8:30 the next morning and had the work done by noon. How can you top that ?! They have a new , regular customer ! ( ""Dan"" was the tech that helped us) more

Poor work product and even poorer customer service. 2/16/2011

Do not make the same mistake I did--do not take your vehicle to the Midas in Roseville, MN on Snelling Avenue. I took my vehicle there for a $1,000 repair job. Within 1 week of the repair, the car leaked coolant in the area in which they had been working. When I brought it back, they told me some hoses needed to be replaced at a cost of $220 w/ labor plus a couple hoses, which are inexpensive. I asked that they reduce some of the labor costs because the hoses should have been replaced when I brought it in the first time. They would not reduce the labor costs, and they were insulting and belittling! This was a problem they should have identified and corrected the first time the car was torn open, but they wouldn't hear any of it. Three days later, guess what?--another coolant leak. I had to bring the car back in again. This time, they forgot to tighten a clamp. To be fair, they didn't charge me for that occasion--but they never apologized or even acknowledged what an hassle it was for me. Also realize that each time I had to bring it back to them, they need a day to look at it and consequently I have to go without my car for that day--not the end of the world, but an inconvenience that shouldn't happen. Forward roughly 8 months, the car is leaking very badly from that same area. I took it to a new mechanic and they concluded the hoses were not tightened properly again. So, beware of the Midas in Roseville, MN on Snelling Avenue. There are a many more, better places out there for both oil changes and repair jobs. more

An Auto Group I can finally trust 8/10/2009

I've had many bad car repair stories, so I've bounced between auto repair companies on more than one occasion. I first went to Midas in Roseville for oil changes and then because I needed some last-minute brake repair. On these two occasions, I was very impressed by how straightforward the people working there seemed. The work was always done in their projected time frame and, on days where I left the car at their shop and got a ride from a friend, they finished their work as soon as possible. Even when problems from their work reappeared later (i.e. a replacement part failed shortly after service), they replaced it at no charge. When there was work that they didn't do, they offered helpful suggestions of other companies in the area that might. Like all auto service places, they do tend to make recommendations of service (obviously to get more business, which can be a little annoying from time to time), but they make these recommendations feel more suggestive rather than intimidating like some repair shops do. Needless to say, there is a reason I've been coming back to Midas for over a year now and, if they keep up the good work, I'll keep coming back in the future. Pros: Problems are fixed, employees seem honest Cons: None that I can think of more
