These guys are great. They fixed my Saturn for half what another shop said it would cost and it works great. I recommend them.

Great shop! 3/23/2013

I have continued to go back to this shop over and over. The people are always really nice, and they always save me money. They recently just saved me about $350 on my Jetta. Great shop! more

Good People 3/22/2013

I have two older vehicles that I count on. These folks have always provided an honest evaluation and even show me what is wrong and explain the situation so I that can understand. Their prices are fair and they are always friendly and professional. I will continue to have all my auto work done there. more

Saved from dealer 3/22/2013

I have been using this location for two years and have been extremely happy with the friendly and knowledgeable staff. My daughter took her car to the dealer and was told it needed thousands of dollars of work to repair the engine. We then took it to Meineke and the problem was resolved for around $200.00 to repair a small coolant leak. Great shop! Honest people. more

Bad Experience 12/22/2010

Had my older car towed to this shop and the guy said I needed a new radiator for about $550. As soon as the radiator was replaced they told me I needed another $650 worth of repairs including the thermostat and timing belt. If I would have known about the additional expenses ahead of time I would have junked the car. Which is exactly what I did. I had the car towed to a junk yard. I wasted $550 on a new radiator. I spoke with the manager and she said there was nothing she could do for me - even if I returned the radiator. She did not even offer me one cent if I were to return the radiator. more

Hallelujah! 12/10/2010

What a breath of fresh air from a mechanic! Having just bought my little beater of a car, I feared the worst when it started whining horribly loud every time I started it. I thought for sure I needed to replace at least one belt, maybe more. After calling around to get some quotes, I settled on Aaron over at Meineke. He quoted me a great price ($60), assuming that was the case. Anyway, I took it in that morning and he and Brian gave it a once over - 40 minutes later they informed me that the belts were fine, just needed to adjusted and dressed (which they did) and, oh by the way, your alternator was loose because of a stripped bolt. Well, they fixed that too and I drove away (all during my lunch hour) only paying $45 and my car runs great. When was the last time you went to a mechanic and were told the problem wasn't nearly as bad as you thought, and it would cost you LESS than expected? Been a while for me... I know where I'm going ANYTIME I need work done on a car. I've already told anyone who will listen and will continue to do. Thanks Aaron, thanks Brian for a job well done! more

Your Reivew Works 12/20/2006

I was surfing the net to check reviews on Meineke service and reading your reviews I have changed my mind and decided to go to a different one. Meineke needs to raise the bar of their service and prove it. If any others are reading this review, please join the club and stop this disloyal organization or YOU could be their next victim. people need to know 10/28/2006

Basically i'm writing this review to not only testify, but warn of the potential disrespect and harrasment that was just recently aimed at myself and my entire family during my recent visit to the Meineke Car Car on Lower Boones Ferry Road in Lake Oswego. I arrived at the business by appointment at 9:00 am on the 25th of October for a simple brake change. When I arrived at the front desk, a man by the name of Frank greeted me and asked me for my keys and for to fill out a form. I am a 2nd generation Asian-American, my family coming from South Korea. The only reason I mention this, is because after 2 hours in the reception area, Frank asked me to come up to the desk. He said that we are having trouble with the installment of your brakes, and we will have to charge you double because it was a foreign car. I have never heard of this postion on charges anywhere, and when i asked why, he stated "If you want top quality at resonable rates, buy American." I was appalled, and upon leavi more

To be quite Frank. 10/28/2006

Let me tell you about the General Manager of the Lake Oswego Meineke named Frank. My first encounter with Frank turned sour when after two hours of waiting for a speedy oil change and tire rotation I wasn't offered an explanation nor apology but rather a car covered in oil and lacking a tire rotation. Everyone has their off days I told myself and went about my business. I returned back several months later determined to prove myself right and was once again duped by Frank. After waiting three and a half hours for a quote that was supposed to take an hour I decided to get back with Frank. "Oh we need another half hour to finish up" he says. Tick tock tick tock, another hour and a half go by with no response. So I redial Frank and ask what's the hold up. Now Frank has the sand to ask me to let him call me back again, "The paperwork is right here, let me deal with this customer and I'll call you right back." Sure thing Frank, I trust you. After patiently waiting an hour for Frank to call more

terrible 2/10/2006

I wish I had read these reviews sooner. I took my car in here for a muffler... they tapped on the catalytic converter and said it was okay.\r A few days later I am back with a blown gasket and a noisy car. They say that in fact the cat is bad and they couldn't tell until the muffler work had been done. So I let them replace the catalytic converter. \r A few days after that I am taking my car to my mechanic for a very rough idle and exhaust noise under the hood. (my mechanic pulled codes and found a loose O2 sensor)\r On the third trip to this f***ing Meineke the guy actually admits that he may have forgotten to tighten that back down. Unbelievable. more

OK BRAKE JOB 9/27/2005

I TOOK MY CAR HERE FOR A QUICK BRAKE JOB. THEY TOOK LONGER THAN EXPECTED AND MY BRAKES STILL SQUEAKED. SOMEWHAT ON THE SPENDIER SIDE TOO. I WOULD GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. THE STAFF WAS NO HELP AND VERY RUDE. THERE PARKING WAS OK. ON THE OTHER HAND THE BUILDING WAS CLEAN. PROS: NONE CONS: SEE ABOVE more

Not an honest owner 5/29/2005

I took my car to these guys when I found out it needed new brakes. The pads they put on were defective, and I ended up having them replaced at another Meineke location. I gave these guys a second chance, and they told me I needed $600 worth of service including new brake cylindars (because mine could "go at any time") and to have the bearings repacked. My father asked a friend about the bearing and found out that they are sealed and can't be repacked. We took the car to Les Schwab for a second opinion about the brakes, and they found nothing wrong. When my father confronted them about taking advantage of a young woman, they denied it stating that they are much more likely to take advantage of young men. I will never visit them again. PROS: CONS: Dishonest more
