Coming to Orlando for a meeting. Planner recommended Mears. So, at the airport, we went down to the transportation area. There was only one shuttle service. The employee pointed inside to pay the fee. We paid and went outside. We were told that the pager would vibrate. Went inside to eat. Didn't receive page. Came down and were told that they had already called for our bus.They now pointed out it didn't work ""upstairs"". Could have mentioned that. They got us another bus a few minutes later. But, the attendant and driver acted like they did us a favor. I would not recommend this service, but alas, they are the only shuttle at the airport. more

I was in Orlando for 1 day 1/26/12. After having dinner at the Florida Mall the resturant called Yellow Taxi to take us back to our hotel. After waiting 30 minutes an employee called back and was told 5 minutes. After another 15 minutes I personally called and was told by someone who said they were in dispatch that cab 373 would be there in 8 minutes. We waited still, talking to more employees who were stunned we were still there. So another 10 minutes go by and I call again. I was told by a different operator after sitting on hold for 5-6 minutes that cab 373 would be there in 7 minutes. This is complete crap. It is 11:30 at night and waiting over an hour for a cab on a Thursday night is ridiculous. I work in the taxi industry in Chicago and those drivers fight for a fare on a slow night. Enjoyed a night out at Disney's Boardwalk the night before Halloween with a friend and we decided to take a taxi back to our Disney resort rather than take Disney transportation because it was late and we were tired. The bellhop called for a taxi and we got in no problem. When we arrived at our resort, I asked the driver if I could pay by credit card and he acted a bit huffy about it but took my card. After a few minutes of him trying my card, he told me it was declined, which was strange being that I had been using it all night. We insisted he take my friend's card instead which he refused but we kept insisting. After a few minutes of trying her card, he said her's was declined as well and told us to go inside to use the ATM. We tipped him a few extra dollars, feeling bad that he had to wait during this whole ordeal. Fast forward 2 weeks when I discover my credit card statement and I was charged for the fare. After being given the run-around calling Mears, finally I recieved a call back from a nice employee saying they would credit my card back. Pros: null Cons: null more

I don't know if it was an honest mistake from the driver or if he was 2 girls in their 20s getting into his cab and thought he could get one over on us. Just beware when using your card with Mears and check your statements! I'm only rating 2 stars because of the wonderful women who was willing to credit my card back. more

Today my husband almost lose his flight , thanks to this company. He made reservations by internet the day before and they sent a text message saying that they are going to contact when they are on the way. Never contact him and when we tried to call, a friendly message answered saying that they are busy taking reservations and nobody can answer the call. NOBODY SHOWED!!! They send few messages during the day saying that they call several times. That I'm sure is no true. more

We got half way there and the driver started to tell me it was to dark and to far to go to my house and he wanted to dump me on the side of the road. I told him to take me at least as far as the publix and he agrued that it was to far. I said well I am not getting out til you take me at least there. So he concured I paid my fare with out a tip and he was upset by this. But I figure you don't provide me a full service you get no tip. I called dispatch and they said they would talk to the driver but they offered me no compensation and no follow up. I will never use them again. more

I called this company at 8:50pm in order to be at the airport around 10:00pm. After 10:30pm, I called them again and said "Nobody has picked up on the call yet". ***No taxi ever showed up, forcing me to make a change in my own travel plans costing me $$$. more

The representative made NO APOLOGY and specifically stated that they ""Make NO Guarantees"" that they will be able to pick you up. I had to hang up while the woman kept yelling at me on the phone. more

mears company refuses to take any responsibility for its so called services you can call and your better off walking they won't show up till 3hrs later forget any appointments or arriving in any descent time. unless your drunk or really have no where to go this ""service"" is useless. when you call to see where your cab is and finally get a manger or supervisor they are not to blame it's not in their control. there is no accountability in their service its a don't blame me sorry and give me your money. one supervisor even said he would not use his own services, that right there says it all. as for the cabs drivers they try but management and organization and service sucks. so much for transportation, not in orlando the tourist center for Florida. more

sad sad......when they could take advantage of prime downtown area. they are no shows. repeated calls and same song and dance. more
