I love this place! I've been going to Dr. Dan for about 5 years now for a variety of cosmetic procedures (Botox, spider vein treatments, chemical peels, laser hair removal, etc.). I recently tried the CoolSculpt treatment and cannot wait to see how the results turn out (I've seen and heard really great things from friends)! Their laser hair removal system is legit...I've had my bikini and upper lip done and am currently doing my underarms and after just 1 treatment, my hair growth was cut down by 60%. Super exciting as it's tanktop and bikini season ;) My husband has also done his laser hair removal at McGrath and is also very pleased with the results (previously went to American Laser Center for almost 2 years with so-so results). It's a bonus that they run Groupons a few times a year for various treatments, so it makes it affordable (although I've been a client since before groupon, lol).\r \r Dr. Dan McGrath is a great guy. He is straight forward and will tell you like it is. This may rub some people the wrong way, but I for one, appreciate it. He doesn't try to sell you on stuff you don't need...if he doesn't think you need filler for example, he'll tell you. He's an honest guy. \r \r The current staff are GREAT! Irene, the receptionist, is so sweet and helpful, and is always pleasant when you walk in. Katie & Tina, the two estheticians (and laser techs) are their best yet! Both of them are incredibly knowledgeable about the treatment their performing, equipment, products, etc. and they both have great personalities! Which is important (at least to me), when you're in an hour + session.\r \r I have referred several of my friends here and all of them love Dr. Dan and his staff.\r \r I know they also do hair restoration and have a friend that has gone through a transplant and was absolutely thrilled with her results.\r \r All good for me :) more

I have tried laser hair removal twice before and always had to buy a package deal, both times resulting on what I considered disappointing results. McGrath will allow single treatment purchases and I decided to give them a try. I have now had three treatments and will only need touch-ups because the treatments have given excellent resilts. Kristen knows how to make you comfortable with the results and will take the time to explain the treatments and expected results. They even have a Groupon sale going on for a couple of days so hurry to try them out. more

I have been to a few other laser hair removal spas in Austin and honestly wasn't pleased with service or with my results. I was ready to give up until my friend told me about McGrath. I was VERY skeptical about getting back into the whole process that I once had been let down. To my surprise my experience with the entire staff at McGrath was very pleasant, they were all very helpful, friendly and professional. My technician, Kristin was extremely thorough of how hair removal works, what to expect and when to expect it. She made sure I was comfortable through out the entire teatment. I absolutely look forward to going back for my next treatment and my results thus far are GREAT! I am so glad I gave it another try. I would recommend this place to anyone! I had a scar from a dog bite since I was 4yrs old. Thanks to fraxel at Mcgrath Cosmetic my scar is barely noticeable. The staff there is very professional always made sure I was comfortable during my procedure ;) more

this office is very professional, clean and friendly! They put you at ease and are very knowledgeable about the various products and services. The Doc is very gentle and LISTENS to what you want!! He and his assistants are full of great info which makes the experience easy and pain free!! Highly recommended!! more

I LOVE THIS PLACE!! Went in today for my second laser hair removal session and yet again another wonderful experience. Kristin took her time with me to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. She explains everything while she is doing it so there are no surprises. The professionalism here is most definitely 5 stars and the friendly staff is always a pleasure to see. This is my second treatment for my lower legs and just as Krisitn had stated in our consultation...my shaving did in fact decrease after just ONE treatment, its unbelievable. She informed me that the new growth would come back much slower, and that the new hair would appear lighter in color and not as coarse, which it did. Im hooked!! The cost is very inexpensive, not what I was expecting so that made my experience here at McGrath Cosmetic that much better. I will definitely be starting other areas very soon and have already recommended this place to other friends! Thank you McGrath more

Went in for the first time last week for, well lets just say some ""maintenance"" and had a great experience. All of the staff was very professional and went above and beyond to make sure my experience was as comfortable as possible. I was recommended to McGrath Cosmetic by a friend and I'm sure glad I went forward and made an appointment with them. This will definitely be the place that I continue all of my treatments at. I am a 64 yr old light skinned black woman who have had Melasma for over 25 yr. I am very pleased with the fraxel laser treatments.. so far I have 40% improvement and will get further treatments. There was very little pain or swelling. I did use Arnica Montana 30X day of and after the treatment which is super stuff which helps prevent bruising and swelling.. Before the laser I had tried dozens of skin lightning creams and NOTHING worked. Staff are wonderful and I am pleased that they accepted me, as some others were fearful of doing laser treatments on black skin. I am LOOKING GOOD. more

As a nurse, I expect friendly service and outstanding bedside manner each time I'm in a healthcare setting. I'm often let down. My first experience at McGrath Cosmetics was 5-star from start to finish. I booked a one-day special but ultimately had to push back my appointment. They honored the price of the special without being asked, even though it was days after the event. At my appointment, staff was helpful, friendly and attentive. Dr. McGrath had OUTSTANDING bedside manner and did my Botox treatment himself-- which he was very generous with even though at $8/unit it's already the cheapest in town. I initially wanted an additional $400 Juvederm treatment, but after assessing me, Dr. McGrath recommended against it because he felt it was unnecessary. Folks, this is while we're face to face with the syringe/equipment all ready to go. I was touched and impressed that Dr. McGrath communicated his personal and professional opinion instead of trying to maximize profit. I'm not new to cosmetic procedures, and this is hands down the BEST experience I have had. I'm a customer for life. more
