I had lost contact with my previous doctor, so I decided to look for another physician- Dr Mauls office was my first try- I have worked along side of Doctors and I have never experienced so much arrogance and uncaring demeanor such as Dr. Maul- Upon him entering the examination room, he failed to even greet me- He just started reading out my chart to me and I had to introduce myself first and he acted like I offended him for me doing so- I didn't agree with his treatment plan and I politely asked him a few questions about his decision and he became very defensive- When he took my blood pressure, his exact words were- ""Your blood pressure is a little high, guess this office has got you all flustered up"" His bedside manner was horrible. he took more time to discuss lab costs than to discuss my health- It didn't help that my appointment was at 9:30 and I wasn't seen until 10:30- There were other patients in the office that waited that long as well- One lady was there to only do Lab work and was there an hour- i wouldn't have minded the wait if it would have resulted in seeing a great professional, but this visit was a waste of money and time- On a good note, it made me determined to find my old doctor again, so right after I got home, I did more research and found him! So I'm happy to know I will be dealing with a caring professional next time- more

My family and I have been seeing Dr. Maul for the last 5 years and I am surprised to read some of the comments below. I have had nothing but the best experiences with him and his staff since moving to the area in 2003. I have noticed some turnover, but with each new person the attitude from front to back seems to improve. Maybe it's because I own a medium sized business and can relate to general staffing issues that I sympathize with the turnover. Also, I had an issue with my insurance company, which was frustrating, but Stacey, the office manager, walked me through it and resolved the issue on the spot. My family and I will continue to recommend and see Dr. Maul as long as we live in the area. more

Dr. Maul's office is the best office I've been to since moving to Rowlett 4 years ago. I have stayed away because of some of the reviews, but tried him out after having the same experiences as decribed here at other clinics in the area. I have to say, Dr Maul's Family Practice is significantly better than the others. If your only complaint is the wait time then I suggest staying away from a doctor's office. I think it's hard to argue with the quality of care Dr. Maul provides. He is an excellent doctor! more

I have been seeing him since I was a baby and am now 31. I won't go anywhere else!! Dr Maul is a very caring and personable doctor with an absolutely excellent bedside manner!! more

My son and I saw Dr. Rogriguez in Dr. Maul's Farmersville and Rowlett office and had no trouble whatsoever. We didn't have to wait and our care was excellent. more

I did not experience long wait time and was in and out very quickly. The nurses and the receptionist were all friendly. I am going again tomorrow so we will see. more

My family and I have been seeing Dr.Maul for the past 10 years. Yes, you have a wait, what doctor doesn't. I would never change unless I moved out of the area. Yes there are things that need to be changed and he needs to go back to some of his old style of doing things. But he is an outstanding doctor. You don't know what you are missing if you changed. I don't see no one but him. My daughter lives out of town at college and told me just the other day, she needed her doctors to transfer her medical files to him. As for as staffing only have a few problems every once in a while. The other complainers need to just be patient. more

Dr. Maul and Dr. Calderon are wonderful. I have seen Dr. Maul for about two years or so and I didnt want to give Dr. Calderon a chance a few months ago, but Dr. Maul had to work in his Farmersville office on a day that I called to get in. I'm sure glad I did. I have two doctors I like and it's easy to go in and see the doctor that has the shorter wait. more

I saw dr maul today for the first time because he was the only physician that took my insurance and could get me in today. i was in at 9:05 and out by 9:57. he was considerate and caring from start to finish. i will definitely go back. more

As a healthcare executive, I feel I am pretty discerning and selective about physician excellence. This was put to the test recently, when I had to choose a new family practice physician. Dr. Greg Maul and his staff certainly passed my test with flying colors!\r \r Front office staff were very friendly, attentive and helpful. This was my first time to the office, as I am a new patient. No problem with prior doctor of 20 years, but was no longer taking Tri Care Prime insurance (military retiree). I was not disappointed with the office visit. After a short wait in the lobby area,I was seen initially by Dr Maul's nurse assistant (this is normal process in most family practice) and later was treated by Dr Maul. He is a very good listener and maintained a pleasant professionalism throughout this initial patient visit. Based on this first visit, I'd recommend Dr. Greg Maul as a very good choice for family physician. more

I dont like feeling like I'm at a doctor's office, so they should decorate better in my opinion.\r \r With that said Dr. Maul and Dr. Calderon are wonderful. I started seeing Dr. Maul after my neighbor told me to go see him. I have been 3 different times since the first of the year and I have nothing but good things to say about this office. I have seen Dr. Maul two times and his partner once. They have been fantastic! The only hiccup I've had was an issue with my insurance, but it was resolved quickly thanks to the front desk girl. I had nothing but a perfect doctor experience when I came in recently as a first time patient. I'm new to the area. I live in Rockwall so it's just around the corner. I've been to doctors before where it was such a hassle just to get treated because you 'weren't on file'. The process here was so quick and simple. And Dr Maul is great. I've definitely found a place where I feel taken care of and would recommend Dr Maul to anyone looking for a doctor that they can trust and feel welcome! Since Dr Herrera & PA Rachel have left,office has go gone to hell in a handbasket. The wait time LAST VISIT - 5.3/4 HRS!!! Maul turned beet red when I told him I was upset re: this vist and 3 previous (we left the office @ 7:05p) having arrived-3:30p w/appt. Staff is incompetent, no one has the decency to apologize for so many wrongs. It is so BAD maybe Dr Herrera left to avoid his name being dragged in the mud. Oh yes, Maul did say ""he couldn't be faulted because he was the only dr. working"" this past Saturday Signed in 9:03a out 2:48p & 10 patients still in lobby!; Sat office hrs. 8:30a-12:30p Maybe I expect too much but he/they struck out with me. Bumped my head once too many shame on me. My time is just as vaulable as his, more so! STOP OVERBOOKING & RESPECT YOUR PATIENTS! more

First of all the wait time is horrible. They say one thing but you end up waiting 1 1/2 jhours just to see the Dr.. Then you wait AGAIN for the Dr. to come in the room. The staff seems to be getting better but the turn over in this office is unbelieveable as well as the turn over of Dr.'s and Nurse Practioners. Its never consistent at all. Makes you wonder whats going on. Last, I am a patient of Dr. Herreras and I have been calling for the last couple of weeks to schedule an appointment and I cant get a straight answer if he is still there or not. So I feel this office is not telling the truth. This will be a HUGE loss if they loose Dr. Herrera. Pros: location Cons: do not tell the truth more

based on the review below, i'm willing to bet the person that wrote it works for this office. this place has went down hill over the years and i should knw because my son has used dr. maul for 6 years. I love dr. maul but you never get to see him. but oh, you can schedule an appointment with him but always dr. herrea is who you will get. he doesn not even bother listening to what his patients have to say, he just writes a script and send you out the door. but thats not before you get ther and wait 2+ hours in the waiting room, due to STACY MAUL, double and triple booking....you get to sit in a waiting room and listen to 2 tv's, 1 that is ENTIRELY TOO DAMN LOUD!!!! and they can't do anything about it because its locked....what the hell ever, then you go back and see a nurse, most are very polite but it seems to me that everytime they have a good staff they get rid of them and bring in new ones....can we say REVOLVING DOOR? then you wait another hour for the doctor, only to get to see him for 2 f*cking minutes and then shoved out the door. after using this place for 6 years, my son now has a new doctor at a family practice where you're treated with respect and dignity that everyone so deserves!!! maybe this place needs to re-examine themselves....... My family went to Dr. Maul for 6 years and after many mistakes have changed doctors. Beware because sometimes we listen to Doctors even when you don't belive them. Pros: Open many hours evening and weekend Cons: Many mistakes and rudeness more
