My experience with Mattress World has to be probably the worst experience I have ever had with any store. On Black Friday, we purchased a bed from a guy named Ryan V. G (as stated on his business card) He spent about 2 hours helping us find a bed within our budged but that would meet our sleeping needs. After several hours go by we finally have a bed picked out. As we are paying and finalizing the transaction I ask what their return/refund policy is and he says ""you can get a refund between now and delivery or exchange your bed within 90 days for a different one."" I ask, but the receipt says no refunds, he says"" oh yeah, but we dont follow that policy, heres the policy we follow"" as he hands me the new policy from a different invoice. I asked him if he was sure and he says ""yes!"". A few days later we descide that we no longer want this bed since its due to be delivered until December 10th and my back can not wait till the 10th. Close to 3 weeks after the purchase. We descide we want to buy a better mattress from Sears for a better price. We call Mattress World and ask for a refund. Ryan V.G Says ""Ohhh, I can not give you a refund, call back on Thursday"" Sorry Ryan, I need the refund now. ""Ohhh, yeah, I can not give you a refund, but I can give you a different bed"". Sorry Ryan, I need a refund or a price match to Sears. ""Ohh yeah I can not give you a price match for that bed, its cheaper that what we sell it for"" Yes Ryan, hence its called a price match, which you advertise in all of your TV commercials and website. If you are unable to price match please refund the money. Good old Ryan had us call corporate. This is where the story gets good. We call corporate and everyone claims that there is no refunds and I can not cancel the delivery either. At one point a lady from corportate told us that VISA had taken away their machines and they could not do refunds. I was surprised at this since I was in the Mattress World in Jentzen Beach the night before and the same visa machine that took my payment was the same machine that was still there. She had the nerve to say that I was lying that there is no way that the machine was there because VISA took them all weeks prior. Well, then ""how did you take my visa payment?!"" She went silent and directed me to file a claim with VISA. So we did! VISA returned all the monies paid out to Mattress World. On Saturday, December 3rd, 2011 3-4 days after VISA refunds the money the door bell rings and there is Mattress World deliverying a bed I did not want. The Delivery guys cheerful as could be asks where I would like the bed to go. Sorry, Delivery guy I cancelled the order at least 6 times. ""Oooooh"" says delivery guy. ""Well where would you like me to put it?"" Delivery Guy I do not want this bed, I was refunded my money by VISA. You need to take it away! ""Oooooh, I cant do that!"" Delivery Guy says. Delivery guy please step down from our Porch and take the bed away. Delivery Guy ""So you are refusing the delivery?"" Yes, We are refusing the delivery!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow. I am still in awe of this whole mattress dilemma.
Everyone at Mattress World just seemed to believe that if they just told you ""ooooh you can't do that"" that they would automatically just get their way. Needless to say after dealing with the snakes at Mattress World for 1.5 weeks I know have a luxury bed from Sears for 1/3 of the price I would have paid at Mattress World. Some of the stories from the managers, sales people, and corporate were ""Get Out!"" of this world ridiculous! Truly disappointing. So if you're considering buying a mattress from mattress world........ITS NOT TOO LATE TO PURCHASE FROM SEARS!!!!
