Mars Venus Salon & Day Spa

I've been to Mars Venus several times in the last six months for several different services. I've been in for a highlight, cut, manicure and pedicure. Each one has been wonderful. The staff is always friendly and I've always been thrilled with the complete outcome. My hair is a bit testy with color and they have nailed it! They have won my loyalty. more

Prepaid for a service that was never provided. Tried for over a month with no satisfaction. Even with their "100% money back guarantee". But when asking for a refund, owner was rude and called cops to have me escorted off the property. Still no refund, or service. Out over $100. Just remember if you ever visit for a service, don't forget to ask for the complementary Police Escort. So please beware. Just ask around and read other reviews before you spend your money. more

Where do I start.... When I pulled up from the outside I never would have thought it was elegant on the inside. When I got to the door I was greeted and the door was opened for me. A+ Was asked if my jacket could be hung up and if I wanted a refreshment. A+ While I was waiting and it starts to go down hill from here... I was walking around and over heard a few of the employee's complaining. It made me want to get up and really look at the atmosphere. Once I took a good look around and really looked ... the staff looked like they were on edge a few of them looked exhausted. During my service the conversation was ok at first then the service provider began to gossip about some of the staff. I found that very unprofessional. I go to my next service and again the same thing. So I started to think ok it looks good but just because it looks good it may just not be good for me. At checkout I was bombarded with products and felt pushed to get pre-booked. I for one love Aveda products and the normal experience I get at other Aveda concept locations. Was not impressed with this location as far as service. I did like the spa area except for being able to hear the washer and dryer and closing of doors. I agree with some of the good and bad reviews the Aveda experience was not what you would receive at a high end Aveda location. So I guess with this salon it is what you make it and what you expect. This location still has a long way to go to get a truly earned 5 star. A+ for some of the added touches like opening the door, allowing me to sit while you checked me in etc... D- for some of the conversation. B- for attempting to do what is expected at an Aveda concept location... the salon & spa experience but the staff as a whole needs to perfect it. This location has good and bad just need more consistency.... Oh and an fyi if you don't like loud music the salon experience is not a good one or one I recommend the music was very loud and at times the music selection was questionable. more

Mars and Venus is a very nice salon. The salon is very clean. All of the employees are very nice. I take the whole family there. I like that they do kids cuts at a very reasonable price, and that you can walk in and usually always get right in. Would recommend this as a place to go and at least try. more

I love coming to Mars Venus Salon. They just know how to treat their clients and give a little extra pampering. Best hair washing ever, a make up touch up, and of course a fabulous cut and style. And try the Aveda Volumizing Tonic. it really works!!! more

This is a great place to get your hair cut. Prices are reasonable and everyone is very nice. I also take my kids there to get hair cuts and Ashley does a great job with them. I have a friend who goes there for massages and also likes it. Check it out! more

I CAME IN LAST NIGHT AND HAD A MASSAGE FROM ADRIAN-WOW! SHE WAS WONDERFUL-SO PROFESSIONAL AND MADE ME FEEL VERY COMFORTABLE AND RELAXED EVEN BEFORE THE MASSAGE STARTED! I went in to get my color done for the first time. I had never done color before anywhere. Ashley really listened to what I thought I wanted and then she brought out magazines so I could show her what I wanted. She gave me ideas that would save me some money cuz I told her I was on a tight budget. My cut looks great too! We picked several parts of pictures and put them all together for this amazing look! I'm getting so many compliments on my brand new do! It never gets old! The front desk helped me set up my next appointment just before Christmas so that I could definitely see Ashley at the time I wanted. It was all about what I wanted! It also smells AMAZING in there. Updates on the latest trends in hair color, hairstyles and makeup are always introduced and they somehow always find a way to incorporate those trends into my personal style, Not to mention this salon guarantees ull love all of your services or they are free. I recently went to Mars Venus for a color and cut. I walked in not really know what I wanted to do with my hair. The stylist took her time and made sure that before we even started I knew exactly what I wanted and she helped my with every step. She made sure that I knew what we were doing before we even started. On top of having great hair when I left, I got so much more for my money. It started with a complimentery neck massage, and while my color was on I got a free hand massage. Everything was amazing and I would highly recommend it to everyone. I recently got a pedicure there it was so nice to come there and relax! When I arrived they opened the doors for me the front desk was very welcoming. They took me back to the spa until the technician was ready for me. The massage was definatly the best part of the pedicure. I left very relaxed. I recomend them to all my friends and family! I recieved the worst pedicure from this salon a few months ago...the stylist giving me my pedicure was very distracted and appeared very uninterested in performing the service. Needless to say, her attitude was shown in her work and I was given the worst pedicure I have ever recieved! It was very rushed instead of relaxing and I could have done a better job on my own at home with removing the rough skin and painting my own nails. I have not been back since and now only go to the nail salons in Brownsburg for a good quality pedicure! Cons: Expensive, Worst Pedicure more
