We stopped in looking for a quality used car and was impressed with their selection. They do things a little differently, they have a no-haggle policy. So, what you see is what it costs. I would have like the opportunity to negotiate, but it ended up working out. We liked a 2007 Acura TSX they had but it was out of our price range. The salesman understood our budget constraints. and was patient with us. He called us every time they reduced the price. The price dropped $4000 and we snagged it. more

Mark Jacobson is a great place if you want to look at Toyotas. They have a good selection of used cars as well.. They are extremely friendly and I found that they were very helpful in finding you the right car for you! They don't try to push you to buy a car that you're not inclined towards, and they follow-up regularly if they find something they think you might like. \r \r Also, I like the idea of No-haggle prices - they give you a good deal and you don't walk out wondering if you paid more and could've gotten a bigger discount if you had ""haggled""! \r \r I would recommend this place. more

All around great place 8/18/2010

We bought a Prius there in 2008- good dealership. I like the service department a lot. You can make appointments easily online. They are typically very good at telling you how long things take. They do things carefully, the wait-area seating is very comfortable (free wifi!), they'll drop you off somewhere if you need it, all parts are there, the inspection is thorough (pointing out loose belts, worn tires), etc. more

we always are quick to complain when things go wrong, but never to quick to express when we are pleased. but in this case i do, iam taking this time to thank my salesman john kimsly and the rest of the staff at your dealership, this is my 2nd car from this dealership, and again my car buying experince was right on point, yes iam very much happy, with my new camry. mark jacobson dealership has always been a great place to buy my car, service my car . and i look forward in returning to help my daughter buy her car from you... again thank you job well done, and keep the coffee hot... ill be back... more

Mechanics are a joke 2/17/2010

My wife's car had a problem with the car not starting intermittently. Dropped her car off on a Monday. They couldn't duplicate, so we went to pick up the car Tue. Wouldn't start. Left car there. They ""diagnosed"" it and said the problem was with the distributor. Had to order part. Two days and $800 later, they call to tell us the problem has been resolved. Went to pick the car up and it wouldn't start. This was after I was told one of the best mechanics looked at it (and another 25 yr. veteran was brought in as well). We left it there one more day (because we didn't want to have to pay to have it towed somewhere else). After no resolution the next day, we went to get the car and (luckily) it started. We immediately drove it over to Auto Logic in Carrboro. They diagnosed the problem and had it fixed the VERY NEXT DAY!!! for about $250 (turned out to be a crankshaft position sensor). DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS SHOP FOR REPAIR. THEY ARE AN ABSOLUTE JOKE!!!! Go somewhere else (we highly recommend Auto Logic. It's a small, family owned shop and they've always been honest with us. We have no affiliation with them. Just direct experience. Pros: learned where NOT to take our car Cons: read my review.... more

Don't buy here!!!! 4/23/2008

I ordered a custom vehicle and was guaranteed my car in 4 weeks and it took 4 mos. The salesmen though are very responsive when you walk in the door but the internet sales dept is awful. How do you lose an order and then guarantee a customer a custom car when in fact all they've done is shopped it other other dealerships to have it shipped in. I could have located the car on my own at other dealesrships and purchased it elsewhere; hence my request initially to have the car come in directly from the manufacturer. Upon receipt of my car, it had to go to service the very next day for the car to be stripped around the dash and door to find a lose wire clip that was rattling. Oh did I mention, the paint on my brand new car looks like the car is 10 years old. The Toyota district rep was of no help nor cared to be of any assistance and basically told me to deal with my own car paint problem. I've owned 3 Toyotas over the course of my life and will never buy another one. Its nice to know that Toyota claims to stand behind their product but absolutely does nothing when you have a complaint or serious concerns. This dealership is by far the worst from its cheesy commercials to its claim of warranty service. Just in case you're interested and you have a similar problem with you paint on your Toyota, please google topix on the internet and visit their site and log your concerns or better yet arm yourself with information b/f you by a Toyota. more
