I cannot tell you how much time I have wasted talking to the people in the billing department. The day before my surgery, the surgeon's office called to collect the money due for the surgery. I paid $893.22. In the mean time, I had surgery and many claims were processed. So many that I met my maximum out of pocket expense for the year. By the time the doctor's office submitted the claim, my insurance company paid them and said I owed nothing because I had met the Max. There were a few small balances owed to some of the kelsey docs and they took that amount from the $893.22 and the $68.50 that was over paid to my oncologist. So now I have $811.96 that is due me. But, they won't release it until every single claim is processed and paid. I'm starting chemo in less than 48 hours and I guess I have to find a new oncologist as any visit to him will result in a new claim that will be outstanding. It's a never ending nightmare. I don't see how they'll ever release my money without me getting my lawyer involved. It's a damn shame that I have to deal with this when I should be giving all of my attention to fighting cancer. And it sucks because I really love my oncologist and I have to find another one. But Kelsey Seybold, you really have left me with no choice. Do yourself a favor and stay far, far away from Kelsey Seybold. Trust me, it's not worth the stress and frustration. more

Went in four times for blood work, at first they said my calcium was a little high, and that I was experiencing heart palpitations, well i called back up there about a week later for records so I could go see a specialist and supposedly the high calcium and heart palpitations were not on file, the nurses were more help than the doctors. The doctors including two specialist did not listen to anything they did not want to hear. Horrible, they didnt call with results, they sent me them in the mail, which said they were normal, and i have other doctors finding out they were not. A wouldnt suggest going there, take your time and find good doctors, this place is a money trap full of ignorant doctors and dumb nurses more

I had a doctor’s visit and Kelsey Seybold did not even send my claim to my insurance, but deducted the total directly from my prepayment without my permission. When I called them for a reason, they claimed that my insurance denied the file, but they couldn’t provide any more information. I called the business office several times, every time there was a different person saying they would “re-send” my file. It has been almost half a year that my insurance still has not received my file. The clerk at the business office at Kelsey couldn’t give me an answer, and they always said they will check what’s going on. I am very disappointed at Kelsey Seybold, and will never use their service again. more

I paid >$400 cash, no insurance for a visit only to them LATER decide the charge should have been $15.00 higher. Unfortunately I had moved and never received the bill that I had no reason to expect. I found out when I saw a collection agency appear on my credit report for yes, $25 ($10 late fee). 40 point credit drop, no recourse. more

I am new to Houston and was told the Kelsey Seybold clinic was a good place to go. It was great because I was able to get an appointment very quickly. \r \r The doctor's didn't do any of the normal things like taking weight or height. When i was waiting for the doctor, I heard the nurse say ""We actually have a patient today."" I really wanted to get up and walk out. \r \r Then I found out that without insurance a doctors appointment- with no x-rays, labs, or anything costs $195! What doctor's- family doctor- should cost that much. \r \r I will never go back to this clinic again and I would never recommend anyone going there. I have gone to this location about 5 times to a different doctor each time. Getting an appointment was very easy and I was even able to call in the middle of the night and get the appointment. And the wait time was actually resonable each time, about 20-30 minutes, between 8-9 in the morning. However, every nurse and doctor I have seen there has been so ingenuine. They are nice enough to fit the social status of ""friendly."" But you can tell not a single soul in there gives a rats ... about you, really. I have never experienced anything like it. \r \r One time I brought my kids with me and the doctor actually yelled at them for pulling out one of the gloves out of his box while he was examining me. I work in a lab, I know that the entire box of gloves only cost $6.00, so why the tirad? He was examining me, how could I have kept them from doing that? \r \r I have gone twice for a strep test that they have to send in to a lab to get the results... which takes at least 24 hours, however it has been close to 48 hours today and I still don't know the results. I have kids, and would appreciate knowing if I have it or not. At the pediatrician's office, it takes 10 min to know your results and the physician can plan accordingly. I feel that Kelsey-Seybod should offer those basic critical services to its patients.\r \r So, overall, the whole operation makes you feel like just one cow in a herd being shuffled through the whole process with no-one really giving a thought about you as a person. The lab results take forever.\r \r So, in my book... I am firing Kelsey-Seybold and am looking elsewhere for a physician who actually cares about me.\r Pros: easy to get an appointment Cons: bad customer service, long time to get lab results more

This is the second time I got charged for two visits, when it really should be one. I took my daughter for a wellness visit. Since we discussed her heath issues, I was charged for another visit. Is this the point of a wellness visit? I always seem to having billing issues with Kelsey. They either give the wrong codes, so the insurance company doesn't want to pay, or try to charge more for their services. I am finally fed up with them and the convenience factor is not worth it anymore. I ended up calling them and the insurance company for days trying to cleat this up. From a medical standpoint Kelsey Seybold is average. Not bad, but nothing special. For a customer service standpoint they are horrible.\r \r They sent my account to a collections agency for $15. Yes you read that right, only $15. I payed the $20 they asked me for at the visit, but apparently they realized after I left that they needed $35. I was never contacted about the difference because they had my address wrong in their system. Rather than 1) find another way to contact me, 2) wait until my next visit, or 3) just forget about a measly $15 in light of the $500 they billed the insurance for the visit, they sent my account to collections.\r \r Of course I paid the collections agency the $15 to clear my credit. They got their money, but I will never go to them again. They were completely unapologetic. Pros: the location was good for me Cons: clearly Kelsey Seybold is all about the money and not the patient more
