Magnolia Flooring

Started off great. Ordered flooring and when it was delivered said it was not what I thought it would be. They had no problem taking it back. They also had a $3,300 deposit of ours. We ordered around 4 boxes of different flooring to see if we liked any of them. We told them to take the money for this (between $60 and $150 a box) out of the deposit. When we didn't like anything we asked for our deposit back minus the money for the sample floors. That's when things turned around to a negative. He refused to give us any money back. He said we could take the flooring, he would donate it to Habitat or he would throw it out. We said we would pick out another floor and order it through him, which we did. We received a call saying it was back ordered for 2 weeks overseas. We asked him to cancel. Again, he refused to give us any money back. We eventually received a check for $1200. We didn't go to cash it until around 2 1/2 months later. We were told their was a stop payment on the check. We finally went to small claims court and it was decided in our favor. When we didn't receive the money we had to go to the sheriff's dept. They were going to put things up for auction but being a flooring store there wasn't anything there to take worth anything. We now have to see how this can be handled. Again, started off great, ended with a horrible experience. more

Our experiance was great, they answered our questions with absolute honesty in regard to quality, wear etc. How do we know? We have close friends in the flooring business in Colorado, they said that Magnolia floorings answers to our initial questions were dead on. They also said the quality of flooring for the price was exceptional! We used several differant flooring types during our remodel, but the best compliment came from my father, a real estate developer, when he asked how we could afford the Cherry wood flooring-""that is the real deal, wide planks, man you must have spent a fortune""! Provided flooring and counter tops in our new building. They did an excellent job. Prices were great. Also, they were very responsive to our questions. \r \r Flooring and counter tops look excellent. After having our entire new house done with wood floors and tile from this vendor, they would not readily respond to our complaints that the tile seemed to be installed improperly. After sending numerous emails showing the mold around the shower, they sent someone to fix but did not acknowledge the problems with the floor tiles. Every room that had tile, the tiles were starting to move, crack and pop as you walked on them. We have made several attempts in person and on the phone to have them look at it and they would not even come to see the problem. Now we have been informed it is no longer under warranty. We are looking at over $5000 in rip out and repairs as well as the problems we have lived with since we moved in. We will never use them again. love the floors we bought, many problems with this vendor. first problem is they don't always return phone calls, we had ordered flooring and were calling to see when it was in as floor installs were scheduled to be at our house to begin work based on the date we were told flooring would arrive. i had to call for 2 days to get someone who could tell me if my floors were in (someone even promised they would call back that day and did not!) then our tmouldings arrived in the wrong wood grain. instead of ordering the correct ones they offered to give them to us for free. i didn't care if they were free because they were not even close to matching our new floors, just wanted to right grain that should have been ordered the first time. the sales person then had the nerve to say ""well, these aren't going to be free, i'll have to charge you if i have to re-order them"" can you believe that?! we just dropped over $3k in materials only for these floors, did they actually think i would mind paying for mouldings i was going to purchase to begin with?!? to top off my experience, we ended up woth 4 new un-opened boxes that they now will not return. good bye $300\r if you do decide to buy there, just make sure you order pretty close to exactly what is needed and don't expect any customer service after they have your money.
