Tam at Mac Repair never ceases to amaze us with his generous customer service and the unparalleled value of his support. When a hard drive I'd had replaced nearly two years ago began faltering - I brought it in for replacement under warranty. He had only larger hard drives in stock & replaced it immediately with the larger hard drive at no cost to me! I'm here now, just waiting for updates and wanted to appreciate him out loud and on line! (Two years ago - Tam did data recovery when the original hard drive that came with my computer failed. He recovered all my photos, videos, music, financial records, email, documents for around $300 in a day or two! He also got me set up with an automated backup so I'll never risk losing data again.) He's also repaired two of my family members' macbooks after liquid spills - one had a cup of coffee spilled & wouldn't boot up at all. It was fully repaired & works like new - for less than $400 (half of Apple's quote)! more

Exceptional Value - including free diagnosis (other shops quoted $30 or more just to assess my macbook). Apple Store in the mall quoted $700 to repair my new (3 month old) MacBook after coffee was spilled into it voiding the warranty. The Apple store couldn't get my hard drive to mount & said they could not recover my data. I called Drive Savers in Novato who charge $300 for the attempt even if they recover nothing and estimated a two week turnaround & around $2000 if they were successful. But, what's far better is, they recovered ALL my data: graphics files, photos & music -everything on my hard drive in less than three days and for nearly 75% less than I'd been quoted by the Novato shop! Would they value a customer with eight designers & computers or were we too small to get the top notch service their Fortune 500 Clients receive? I have dealt with computer service companies all over the world. This outfit, Mac Advantage is unrivaled, bar none. Exceptionally pleasant to work with. They are data recovery wizards! They are undaunted by the most complex font/printing issues or seemingly impossible hardware repairs. For example, one of my G5's, with 30"" display & backup harddrive were submerged in a flood and covered with mud. Water was inside the display. These folks not only recovered all my data, they took apart & dried out the display. It is now functioning perfectly. I now ship my equipment to macadvantage, from wherever in the world I happen to be, whatever the shipping cost. The peace of mind is priceless.
