M Spa

Last week I visited the M Spa to use a gift card that my daughter purchased for me for Mother's Day. I treated myself to a facial and was absolutely blown away with my entire experience with the facility. The girls at the desk were great when I booked the appointment by helping me choose a facial best for my skin type. I was given a warm robe and spa sandals to wear during my stay which really helped me take that first step in letting myself relax. My esthetician, Renay, truly exceeded all of my expectations during my service. The massage portion of the facial was to die for, and my skin felt smooth and rejouvenated after the detoxifying mask she used. I haven't been able to stop telling people about my unforgettable M Spa experience. All of my girlfriends this year will definitely be getting an M Spa gift card for Christmas! I recently decided that I wanted to try hair extensions to make my hair look more full and add volume. Jamie was recommended to me by a friend who also had her extensions done at M Spa. Jamie was so helpful at matching up the perfect color and helping me decide on a good length. I get compliments on my hair all the time now. It always looks so natural and thick. I really like that no one would know they were extensions unless I told them. It was worth every penny and I was so impressed with how detailed Jamie was with making sure I loved my new look! I go to M Spa for many of my salon/spa needs. I have been seeing Jennifer Buck for my hair recently, and I am floored with how great of a job she does. She listens to my concerns and hair predicaments and always comes up with a creative and effective solution. My hair always looks natural, yet polished, and very healthy. I trust her 100% with my hair, which is a big deal considering my bad past experiences with other stylists at other salons. I have been to almost every salon/spa from Three Rivers to Kalamazoo and I have to say that Mspa definitely one of the best, if not THE best. From the moment you walk in, it feels like you've stepped out of Portage, Michigan and into another world...a RELAXING world. It is a great place to excape to for some classy pampering at a reasonable price. I completely enjoyed my visit and hope to go back soon. I would also like to note that through my entire visit the staff seemed genuinely happy to be there and seemed to love what they do...they remained professional and courteous. :) I would recommend to everyone! more

I had my haircut and colored at MSpa for years, and they were so-so until Carrie started working there. She does an EXCELLENT job at coloring (both hi-lites and full color), and listens to what you want. I never left feeling that she didn't understand what I wanted. Every other employee I encountered was polite. Sure it's not NYC fancy, but it is great for the area (and especially the price!). Ever since I moved away I dream of going back to get the haircut I keep asking for but never get. Carrie is in high demand, so book early! I have been to the M Spa several times, a couple of them with a gift card. The massage therepists are great, while the amenities are just okay (not luxurious in any way). This last experience will likely be my last. I was given a gift card as a birthday gift and was looking forward to my 30 min massage and delux whirlpool pedicure. more

foot pedicure was nice. \r Prices are a bit steep compared to other therapists in town.\r Overall good service. Aveda products is a plus. The makeup sold is not so great. more

love M spa. for a day of self pampering-& relaxation, you must go here! they have it all in spa treatments, manicures, pedicures,aromatherapy, facials, hairstylists, massage, makeup application & much more. the atmosphere is serene & peaceful. wonderful staff. I highly recommend them. They are a little pricey, but definetely well worth it. more

a beautiful place. some services are wonderful here. i would recommend a massage here. but forget about haircuts or color. i had the worst haircut i have ever had here. ever. that includes the haircut i gave myself when i was 7. While the individual services are far above average.Ambeance very nice you even though you can feel the tention between owner and staff. Try canceling an appointment on a sunday or monday, There's no answering machine and if you don't give 24 hour notice,,Your charged for 1/2 of any and all services. Outside of that though, I must give everyone else a big thumbs up. more

They are great across the board, Pros: good partking, clean but not sterial, reasonable priced Cons: hard to schedule more
