Lucia's The Salon

I had my first visit at Lucia's..the salon the other day and left happier than ever with my hair cut! I first was greeted with smiling faces at the door followed by there interest in getting me whatever I wanted. My stylist then greeted me like she has known me forever! I felt completely comfortable with her ability to help me achieve the look I wanted. She recommended all the products I would need to use on a daily basis to help achieve this look. All the products work amazing! Thank you Lucias for helping me look and feel amazing, You rock!!!! Pros: everything more

I unfortunately decided to go to this salon several months ago and ended up with orange hair. I believe this happened because Lucia's was more interested in making money than doing what I asked for. I specifically said I didn't want a toner because they don't work in my hair, but the hair stylist still used a lower bleach level on my hair so she could charge me more for the toner. Of course, when my hair turned orange, no toner was going to fix it and since then I have tried to dye over the color several times, but it just fades away and once again leaves an orange hue. They also tried to push every hair product they carry onto me, which I don't appreciate. The hair cut was also not what I wanted. Overall, one of the worst experiences I've every had at a salon. more

This salon is second to none! I've never left less than thrilled with the services I've received. They are the best in cuts, color and nail services. They're always taking care of their customers with special e-mail offers, too. In addition to the services, the staff and ownership are so warm. Some nice salons that you go to have an antagonizing atmosphere. Lucia's makes you feel like you're being pampered in your very own living room (except the salon is much more nicely decorated than my living room! :-) ) \r \r Lucia's is a place you'll want to return to because the people there make you feel so comfortable. I really can't say enough! You'll leave looking great and feeling like you just spent the afternoon with friends! Pros: Atmosphere, Staff, Services Cons: none! more

I have been a client of the owner, Sally Zarlinga, for almost 15 years. She has always been professional, kind, warm, energetic, and above all talented. The new salon is lovely; a cozy, inviting space. The stylists are all immensely talented with fantastic personalities. From the moment you walk in the door and see Mandy's smiling face, you feel welcomed and at ease. I CONSTANTLY get compliments on my cut and color, and ALWAYS refer friends and family to Lucias...the Salon. Everyone I send there loves the Salon, and comments on how nice everyone is and how pleased they are with their service. I must say I am shocked by some of the negative comments posted about this salon. It is always sad when some old, favorite employees leave, but the stylists working there now are nothing short of fantastic. I can only assume that the employees that left have decided to post negative things about this wonderful place out of spite and/or jealousy. Shame on them. I have, and will continued to follow Sally's Salon to the ends of the earth to have my hair cut by her. No other stylist will do for me! If you want the BEST service, cut and color you should visit Lucias...the Salon. You will become a loyal fan. Pros: Respectful, kind, warm stylists who listen to what you want and DELIVER!!! Cons: Can't think of a darned thing, when an appointment begins late it is because I'M LATE! more

\r I have been going to Lucias the Salon since it has opened over 7 years ago. I have watched them grow from the little salon to their newest salon. Through the years I can honestly say that since I have been going there my life is better. Yes, my life is better. The staff is extremely positive, friendly and warm. They greet you with a smile! I have struggled with low self esteem and everytime I go to Lucias I feel I am the most important person in the world. This is very unique now a days. Not only are their personalities one of a kind but their talent is too. I have been to several salons in my life and when I began going to Lucias I said finally I don't need to search anymore. I love that I can tell them what I want and my hair looks amazing with color that my coworkers ask me where I go. I have referred many people to Lucias and will continue to do so. I hope this is helpful to someone who is looking for a salon with a positive, friendly atomosphere that has a wide array of talent too! I used to really enjoy myself at the salon, but everytime I get used to a stylist they seem to leave! I don't understand why! The color I recieved was always average, but that is not why I went there. The girls all got along so well, and created an atmosphere that was inviting, and now my favorites are all gone! After moving to their third location, it is now extremely cramped and stuffy. I will never go back, not to mention that their prices are outrageous. They don't even take tips! Why cant I tip my girl if I want to? One woman in there doesnt even do her hair or put makeup on! I think that it has gone way downhill. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone. My name is Devon Redding and I recently made some false postings about Lucia's...the Salon and it is with extreme humility that I wish to retract any negative comments that I made. All of the services that I recieved at the salon were very good and the only reason that I said the hurtful things that I said was because I was mad, confused, and upset over being let go from the salon. I never should have made such comments, as it was extremely immature for me to do so. I had no right to say they things that I said, and I urge you all to go to Lucia's...the Salon and experience their great services for yourself.\r \r The staff is a wonderful group of very talented stylists, barbers, and makeup artists, who care very deeply about the work that they do, and it shows in their finished products. I came in to get a cut and from the front it looked really good. It was when I saw my nephew (who is in cosmetology school) about a week later that he asked me where on Earth I got my hair cut and he hoped I didn't pay somebody to do that to me. It was completely uneven in the back!!! He took a photo of the back of my head and showed it to me. It was awful! I was so embarrassed that I had been walking around like that! People must have thought I did it myself.\r \r I cannot believe that the staff at Lucia's let me leave like that!! \r \r Don't ever go there, they obviously don't care about the work that they do. more

For the price of a pedicure there, you think they could spring for some actual pedicure chairs. Instead they have you sit in a leather chair they probably got from Goodwill and put your feet in a big...mixing bowl. They put warm water in there but it cools down pretty quickly. The girl did a good job, it wasn't her fault that they don't provide the proper tools. You'd do well just to stay home, save some money and paint your toes yourself. Cons: You're paying for a service that you could easily do yourself. more

I would have given this place negative 5 stars if I could. The owner is snobby and extremely unprofessional. They can't seem to stay in one location either, it really makes you wonder if there's something shady going on...\r \r Most of the stylists are pretty nice, but they definitely won't flourish in a place like this. I used to have great experiences at Luccia's and I would not have hesitated in the past to give the salon 5 stars. I actually used to recommend Luccia's to all of my friends. I'm not sure what happened but I guess they had to lay off a lot of the stylists. Now that my favorite stylist is gone things just aren't the same. I recently got my hair cut at Luccia's and unfortunately received the worst cut of my life. I'm sad to say that I'm going to have to give up and try some place new. more

I have gotten several pedicures over the past couple years at Lucia's. I enjoy them so much I get at least one a month there. There is no uncomfortable couch, In fact I sit in a big comfy leather chair and soak my feet in a steaming hot steel bowl filled with rocks. I do remember the couch but that hasn't been there for years since they built a room dedicated to pedicures and manicures. They have actually done quite a bit of remodeling in the past couple of years. And by the way, everyone is amazing!!! I don't have a favorite...I trust them all to give me beautiful toes! Actually, I trust them all to give me beautiful everything because I get my hair, nails and brows done there too!!! For sure the best salon in the area!!! Pros: they really do specialize in color! Cons: they aren't open on Monday more

The atmosphere and decor are wonderful. However. the couch they have you sit on for a pedicure is uncomfortable to sit on for long periods. Such as the time it would take to have a pedicure. I understand the need of being sanitary with the foot bowl, but a glass bowl doesn't hold heat and the water gets cold quickly. The staff is professional and rates are probably on par with the industry. I wouldn't go back for a pedicure though. I've gotten on their email list and can't seem to get off. Like we all need more email! NOT! more

my hair was always dry and brittle until i visited the miracle-working Lucia's the Salon.\r i was always had low self-esteem because of my damaged hair.\r when i walked into Lucia's i felt accepted and loved.\r my designer Sami helps me recreate the style i have always wanted and i have never received so many compliments in my life.\r i love going to Lucia's and the stylists have become my close friends.\r Not just Sami, but the entire staff of Lucia's the Salon deserves my deepest gratitude for transforming my hairdo into something i have always wanted. more

lucias is not only cutting edge in fashion but one of the hottest salons in cleveland. ive been going to the girls for 4 years and they have became part of my family. i can trust any of them with my hair and always love how it turns out. To top it off its always a fun and welcoming experience everytime i walk though the door. I LOVE THEM! Pros: welcoming,fun, always have new ideas...the list could go on forever more

I have been a client of Lucia's The Salon for some time now and have to say the service I have received from Lucia's is nothing short of exceptional. The staff is amazing, they make you feel like your not just going for a cut and style, but your visiting some friends. The warmth you reveive is worth a million. The results, let me just say. Once you visit Lucia's, you will go nowhere else. I guarantee it. So do yourself a favor and make Lucia's The Salon you next home. I know I do.
