DO NOT HIRE THESE MOVERS!!! The owner is rude, disrespectful, unapologetic, and has no regard for his customers' time. I hired these movers to move my belongings from my storage unit to my one-bedroom apartment 5 miles away upon my return from a year-long deployment with the Navy. My move was originally scheduled for Monday, May 11, 2015 at noon. I received a call from the owner letting me know the truck broke down and that he needed to reschedule my move to Tuesday at noon. No big deal-accidents happen. I wasn't upset and he offered a 10% discount. I arrived at my storage unit before noon on Tuesday. These movers let me sit in a parking lot an hour after my scheduled move time before calling to tell me they'd be late. They ended up showing up 5 hours late (after they were already a full day late due to a broken truck on my original move day). The owner never answered nor returned my calls. I had to call him on one of his employees' phones to speak with him, and he was still rude, unapologetic, and refused to compensate me for the day he and his movers wasted. I have never felt so disrespected by a business owner or manager and strongly advise you to find any other moving company. more

Great Local Movers San Antonio 1/21/2013

These local San Antonio movers were great. I spoke to Fred on the initial phone call got a in home moving quote scheduled. David came gave me a reasonable moving quote. I called Lone Star Moving Company back to book my move. The 3 movers arrived on time and went straight to the moving process. They disassembled my furniture, disconnected my washer, and dryer. Protected all of my belongings, and even took extra care of my LCD TV'S.(my husband's pride and joy :) The movers loaded everything with care. When we arrived at the new place, the moving crew assembled and reconnected my appliances. I was worried about my grandfather clock that was passed down to me from my grandma. The movers even got it in the new house without any problems. Thank you, once again. Never Ever Again 10/25/2012

I did not get a courtesy phone call the day before to confirm the date or time of the move. I called the office for an hour straight on the morning of the move, because they were late arriving to my home (9am). I received a call at 9:30am stating they would be there in 25-30 minutes (10:25am-10:30am). The movers didn't arrive until 11am, 2 hours late from my scheduled appointment time. Not only were they late, but they couldn't load everything, although when I made the appointment, I discussed what I wanted moved and how many rooms they were moving. When I received my bill, it was higher than expected, because of hidden cost. When I spoke to the manager/owner he was very unreasonable and rude. The movers were respectful, but very unprofessional; sagging pants/shorts, no uniform, smoking on the job, cursing (and my children were around), not helpful in the unloading process, and I was very disappointed that they didn't lay anything down on my carpets during the move to protect them. I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy! more

This company has an F rating with BBB. If you want to be called profane names by the company owner, then by all means, use this company. The movers were telling me something different than what the owner had told my husband in terms of how long the move would take, so I called the office to get clarification. I was continually cut off and told I had too much stuff (except that wasn't the word he used). As things escalated, the owner ended up calling me one of the worst things you can call a women repeatedly, without apology. He told his workers to get the boxes they already loaded off what they claimed was a 16 truck (other companies send 26 for similar moves) and they left the boxes at the bottom of the stairs and left. I had one day to get the move done before surgery, so I begged the guy to send the movers back. He said he would and never did. Please if you are reading this, do not take a chance that this will happen to you. You get what you pay for. Wrong equipment, no inventory system to ensure the same number of items that leave arrive.... PLEASE DON'T USE THIS COMPANY more

All Lonestar can guarantee is Lies. (I put one star bc it makes you). 5/1/2012

On 04/26/2012 at 8:12 PM, Alex from Lonestar Moving Company called and left a voicemail to confirm they would move my family on 04/27/2012 at 3:00 PM. Although I received physical confirmation on my direct contact line the night before, Lonestar is stating that I gave them the wrong contact number and therefore could not meet me at my home. I found this information out 3 days later when I called and finally got a person on the line. They had my correct number, how else would they have left me a voicemail? The number they market (210)853-8989 is indeed a cell phone number, because I also texted the line to take a chance, and never got a response text saying it was a landline. I have called over 20 times, left voicemails and wondered why I was promised a service, yet Lonestar could not follow through. I just called and finally someone answered at Lonestar, and then they perceeded to hang up. I have contacted the Better Business Bureau because apparently they are the only party that holds concern for this problem. more

Cheap friendly Movers with good manners! 4/19/2012

Cheap friendly Movers with good manners I want to say a Big thank you to all the team of Lone Star Movers from the guy who took our booking Alex to the Boys that did our move from Kerrville to San Antonio,of our 4 bedroom apartment. They started at 7:00 am and they working with no complaints until 11:30 pm. They looked after my furniture and all my belongings from start to the end. I will not hesitate to recommend them to everyone I know. Great job guys!!!!? more

Thank you! Up on my friends recommendation, i chose Lone Star Movers Moving Company move for my move from San Antonio to Dallas. The final price was about 13% higher than the original quote(which they justified by giving me a new estimate up on their arrival on move date and showed me the list of additional services rendered such as packing, and more articles that needed to be moved). They packed and loaded my three bedroom home in less than six and half hours, and delivered my belongings in Dallas, with in 2 days of notice. They gave me all the documentation needed to get reimbursed by my employer. I have already refereed my friends to their company, and have talked to one of them that had a positive experience like me. Moving is not a fun thing to do, but doing it with a reliable and honest company like Lone Star Movers Moving Company makes it stress free. more

UNLICENSED MOVERS HERE! 4/18/2012

UNLICENSED MOVERS!!! This company stood me up on moving day. After some research I discovered that they are violating TX law by not posting a TX Department of Transportation license # on their advertisements and website. According to the DMV no such company is licensed to operate in the state of TX. Ask the woman who answers the phone what their license number is before you agree to let them stand you up. She'll probably just hang up on you. No license means no insurance, which should mean no business for these people. Protect yourself and ask them for the relevant info. Buyer beware!! more

Highly Recommended Movers! 3/3/2012

Highly Recommended for all !!! I' m still busy unpacking boxes and cleaning, I had to move 4 bedroom house. I couldn't let another day go by without saying “THANK YOU!” and simply tell all how happy I was about my experience and with your excellent moving crew. They exceeded all my expectations, easing the nervous tension of a very stressful day for all of us. It would be an understatement to say how grateful I am for their organizational skills and professional positive approach. Not one thing got broken. The dinning room table was put back together again and every piece was not only there but it looked as if the table was never dismantled. I was so happy because the movers were such great people and they really knew what they were doing. I was really amazed by these movers and their employees. Thank you guys so much for everything, I highly recommend this San Antonio moving company to everyone who is looking to move. Thanks again to all of you, guys. Great Moving Company I'd recommend to anyone 1/11/2012

The best and most courteous movers i have seen yet, all the employees were very clean cut and very helpful on moving all my belongings to my new home. Management was very easy to work with and schedule my move, I had no complications with my move all my belongings were in perfect condition upon arriving and my new home. The price its self was unbelievable, they even offered a price match but without it they beat their competition in price already. The best part was they even showed up 20 minutes early and began working immediatly. I will recommend this company to anyone looking for a good dependable down to earth moving company and very good movers. more

Lone Star Movers Moving Company in San Antonio is very courteous and professional. I've moved several times and this was the best move by far. I recommend them in every way - they are on top of the job and really lovely people, which does make a difference. All my stuff arrived in good condition and it was a pleasure working with them. Professional Movers at an Affordable Price! 1/11/2012

Moving is never fun! But this time I used Lone Star Movers Moving Company and they made it a much less stressful experience. The professionalism and honesty made a big difference for me. I moved a few times in the last few years and this is the second time I am not putting my friends to work for pizza. My last move was with a no name, very cheap company, ended up being an awful experience, so this time I have decided to go with Lone Star Movers since I saw their trucks all over. I am glad to say it was a smart move (tap myself on the back). It was more expensive than last time but SO much easier. No breakage, no waiting for the movers for 3 hours, just pure moving. They wrapped everything, moved it all with no complaints and charged what I was quoted. Next time I would not even think twice before calling them. more

BEWARE of this company!!!! 6/17/2011

Moving company will not return calls to discuss options to pay for damages caused by their movers. Moving company tore a leather sofa on the side and back and scratched and dented a very new refrigerator. Both items are only two years old. They were fine when they came off the truck, but were damaged when the movers were forcing them through the door without protecting them with padding or anything. some kitchen chairs and the corner of the kitchen table were also scratched in the move. The corner of the kitchen table was scratched when the mover banged it into the freshly painted wall causing a chip in the wall as well. They also scratched and dented the trim on both the front door and the door coming from the garage into the house. The movers told me not to worry about it becasue the company has insurance for stuff like that, but I have been calling since Sunday May 29th and left three voicemail messages including my name, phone number and the reason I was calling and they will not answer or return my calls. It took three movers seven hours to move us from our 1200sqft home and everything was already packed, furniture was disassembled and ready to go and our new home was only 10.5 miles away. I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and as of June 17th Lone Star Movers has not responded or made any attempt to resolve my complaints. more

Highly recommended moving company!!! Lone Star Movers moving team did an outstanding job. I had so much stuff and they didn't complain--just helped me with everything I needed. They came prepared and their mission was to be efficient, kind, and get the job done, which they did. Apparently they were not told there were stairs and no elevator at my new place and they adjusted quickly to the more difficult situation with no complaints. They were great and it felt like a supportive family was moving me. Thanks. I would recommend you and call on your services again. Great job!!! more

A Real Class Act 6/6/2011

My move with Lone Star Moving just finished with the rarest of moving-day experiences -- a fair final price. I've been burned before, so call me skeptical if you will, but I don't trust what anyone quotes me over the phone. This time was a rare exception. And, get this, the movers actually polite. My kids didn't have to put up with the kind of foul mouthed jerks who usually show up to these jobs. And I'm not worried that I'm about to discover five broken/scratched items hidden among my things. What a relief! I'll be sure to call next time I need some help moving. Thanks Lone Star. more

Affordable Movers!! 6/6/2011

I must say you changed my logic of hiring a moving company. At first I was hesitant, until these guys answered and scheduled me. They arrived a few minutes past their scheduled time but kept me informed all the way thru. When the movers got to my house they went straight to work and didn't stop til the job was finished. I give ample appreciation to Joe and hollin for thier hard work. more
