Review content:
Moving company will not return calls to discuss options to pay for damages caused by their movers. Moving company tore a leather sofa on the side and back and scratched and dented a very new refrigerator. Both items are only two years old. They were fine when they came off the truck, but were damaged when the movers were forcing them through the door without protecting them with padding or anything. some kitchen chairs and the corner of the kitchen table were also scratched in the move. The corner of the kitchen table was scratched when the mover banged it into the freshly painted wall causing a chip in the wall as well. They also scratched and dented the trim on both the front door and the door coming from the garage into the house. The movers told me not to worry about it becasue the company has insurance for stuff like that, but I have been calling since Sunday May 29th and left three voicemail messages including my name, phone number and the reason I was calling and they will not answer or return my calls.
It took three movers seven hours to move us from our 1200sqft home and everything was already packed, furniture was disassembled and ready to go and our new home was only 10.5 miles away.
I filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and as of June 17th Lone Star Movers has not responded or made any attempt to resolve my complaints.
