Prepare to Dance All Night!! 2/23/2009

Loie is the place to dance all night long with some of the most fun clientele in Rittenhouse. There are DJs all weekend and they have started to get a really strong Thursday dance crowd in addition to a DJ. Dinner here is delicious and very reasonable so if the late night crowd is not your thing, get there to fill your stomach with Contemporary American food. Overall Loie has not lost any of the appeal of it's earlier days and in fact has just gotten better. more

Love this place for the food, cocktails, style and service. Avram and his staff are amazing and keep it coming year after year. Love the burgers too. more

Amazing Private Party Place 6/4/2008

I just hosted a private party for about 30 people and everything was amazing!! The food was perfect, and staff was really friendly, and the atmosphere was perfect for networking and relaxing. I had so much fun I came back a week later for dinner and drinks and was again super pleased with both the food and the happy hour drink specials. Definitely a place to check out if you're in Rittenhouse!! Pros: ambience, food, service more

Great All-You-Can-Drink Sunday Brunch! 5/11/2008

Great sunday brunch. I have only eaten there for sunday brunch, but I have been there latenight for dancing which is also a fun time. You really can't beat the $25 prix fixe for 2-course brunch with all-you-can-drink mimosas and/or bloody marys. I would definitely recommend it for sunday mornings and late nights out drinking and dancing. Pros: Sunday Brunch, food Cons: crowded dancing latenight more

Great atmospehere 12/26/2007

I stopped in to Loie for dinner last week and was pleasantly surprised. I had heard about it more for its nightlife than its food but the place was great! Food was delicious, service was very attentive and the atmospehere itself was a great escape from the cold weather. I definitely recommend as a good date spot. more

Great lunch spot 8/6/2007

I didn't even know Loie served lunch. I have only been there on the weekends for their nightlife, so I was surprised when I passed by on my lunchbreak and I saw people eating outside. My friend and I decided to try it out. I had an amazing burger and she had a salad, which I could tell she liked since her plate was basically licked clean. \r I recommend stopping by at any hour you are in the neighborhood. Good food and drinks and friendly staff. more

Great food and atmosphere 8/1/2007

I found out about Loie at the Zoobilee a few months ago, after taste testing their sandwich, I had to try the rest of the menu. Loie amazes me everytime I drop in for a visit. Not only is it a beautiful place to sit and relax, the drinks are reasonable, the food is outstanding and the service is welcoming. I would recommend Loie to anyone who enjoys different food and a nice atmosphere. more

Awesome Bachelorette Spot 8/1/2007

I had my bachelorette party here on Saturday and it was unforgettable! We had great girlie drink specials, champaigne, food and the DJ kept us dancing all night. We ended up going back the next morning for Sunday Brunch which was amazing as well! more

Great food, great location, fun nightspot. 3/8/2007

Loie's atmosphere and food has changed a little recently. They new menu is amazing. The grilled steak tartine was so good and the desserts (yes I tried more than one) were delicious! They have a great room upstairs that opens up on the Friday and Saturday nights as sort of a lounge with another bar! Love that they still have their great Sunday brunch deal too. Can't wait until the warm weather when you get to sit outside. more

Very very nice 12/28/2006

After a great day at a Spa we had dinner at this great restaurant. We were very impressed with both the service and the quality of food. Philly is really becoming a mini-New York with great restaurants, and this is certainly one of them. more

Dinner, wine, 11/3/2006

Four of us, for dinner last night, three bottles of fabulous voignier, a fantastic server who took her time and didn't rush us or make us feel uncomfortable even when we were waiting for our fourth guest,--even when they were breaking out the dance floor...they just remodeled in May and the place looks great! Roasted chicken breasts were amazing, flavorful and so tender!--Mussels were changed up from what they used to have but it was immense and yummy--although it could have been an appetizer to share amongst four rather than an entree (too much mussels)....mushroom burger was cooked just the way my friend wanted, pomme frites are great--a MUST TRY is the Lobster Gnocci appetizer, it was so good, we had to order a second to share...we also got the fried oyster salad--fresh oysters not too much batter, And last but not least, tuna entree, delicious but you can get this dish anywhere--go for the gnocci or the hanger steak,-or the chicken breasts. For four people, 3 apps, 4 entrees and 3 bottles of great wine, the bill was $240 with 20% gratuity.--The manager came over so many times to make sure everything was great...--And it was! more

Don't mistake this bar for a restaurant, like I did! 11/2/2006

My husband and I went to Loie for brunch on Sunday, and while it wasn't terribly busy, but the service was terrible. First of all, it took a long time to even get water and a menu. Moreover, my quiche arrived ice cold! When I ordered a simple pastry thereafter, it didn't arrive for another half hour, at which time my husband had completely finished his brunch. We had to beg for coffee refills. It was a very bad experience - from customer service to food. Pros: Cute atmosphere Cons: Food, service more

Good things are happening in the kitchen 7/19/2006

So I ate at Loie ... appearently it is not just a nightclub. I went with a couple of friends last week and we shared some appetizers and they were all delicious! The lobster gnocchi are to die for not to mention the honey dijon truffle wings and the egg tartine. I'm definitely going back to try some more of the dishes on the menu. Pros: Great food, beautiful dining room/bar Cons: Not great service, not great music more

Loie adds a touch of Paris to Rittenhouse 6/14/2005

Loie, a twist on the traditional Parisian brasserie, is a decadent respite for dinner and drinks surrounded by art nouveau inspired decor providing a beautiful backdrop for sipping cocktails and enjoying French cuisine from Chef Jeremy Duclut. Nightly DJs and the spirit of the illustrious Loie Fuller, the Chicago based dancer turned Paris sweetheart, ensconce the warm and inviting room. Loie is beauty personified, both aesthetically and literally, with Rittenhouse Squares trendy clientele. The crowd is decidedly European in style and grace, bringing back a taste of the Riviera. The temperature rises as DJ'S spin Rock N' Roll, alternative, dance and more. Pros: no cover, crowded, drink specials Cons: parking more

Horrible service 3/19/2005

I took a few visiting friends there for dinner one saturday and had an awful experience. Service was extremely slow, so slow that when dessert time came, the dj had started, the music was turned up and the lights completely out. We requested candles or to be moved to a lighted booth, but neither requests were accomodated, on top of that, our desserts took another 30 minutes to arrive. Our aloof server and the completely oblivious management made the night a real joke. We spent 2 hours there, about 1.5 hours just waiting for the food, and about a 1/3 of the time literally in the dark. Completely indecent and just stupid. more

great things to say.... 1/23/2005

The food, the drinks, the service.....the all rock. Just get there early enough before it becomes a club and the djs start. Pros: food and drinks more

Great addition to the Rittenhouse scene 5/25/2004

My wife & I stopped into Loie on a recent Saturday and had a great time. It was a beautiful night out and the windows were open adding a cool breeze to the relaxed & casual decor. We grabbed 2 seats at the bar (get there early, however, because this place filled up quick & the yuppie vultures were circling). I had a great chicken salad panini made with brie cheese and apples served w/fries while my wife had hanger steak skewers which came with greens (off their low carb menu). The food was delicious, the service was great and it is a nice place to stop in for a bite or a drink without the Rouge/Bleu snobbery. When the DJ starts up at 10 PM I would guess that this small place would get way too crowded so stop by early and enjoy! Pros: great food, right off the Square, hot chicks Cons: , no parking, hot guys more
