Skip this salon! 7/9/2006

It saddens me to write this review. I had been going Lisa's salon for years, but those days have come to an abrupt end. I contested a charge and expressed my frustration for the receptionist not communicating my scheduling needs for getting back to work in a timely fashion. To my shock, I received an email reply from Lisa telling me to find another stylist. My final warning is to beware of being charged way more than you expected for services you had in the past. Also do not contest the charges or speak up about bad service if you want to continue to go back. It seems that if a customer stands up to Lisa and her staff, your days are over. Cons: Very overpriced. more

Lisa Power - the James Brown of Hair! 7/9/2006

Lisa Power has got it all -- she's truly the hardest working girl in hair. She's smart, sassy, fun and always on top of what's the latest and greatest cut. Plus, she's the best for color in the city. After 20 years, I'd never let anyone else do my do. You can't go wrong when Lisa's at the chair. Pros: Beautiful, light filled space with attention to every detail. Accentuating Beauty and Giggling-what could be better 7/9/2006

The funnest place to go and be pampered. Everyone is everyone's next door neighbor. I love the fact that I can get the best cut and color in town from the best artist and not have the atmoshpere feel snobby or pretentious. It feels like friends hanging out with friends. more

Lisa Power, the previous Shining Star of Gary Manuel Salon (First Ave), has at last opened her own shop on Lower Queen Anne - and the experience is an all encompassing success! Her shop is up-scale, elegant and convenient, with reserved customer parking across the street. Lisa's inspired and creative talent, combined with her extensive experience as a colorist and stylist, has consistently served and delighted this client for years! I would follow her to the moon! Her haircuts range from trendy to classic - from whimsical to precise and spectacular. She is a true professional! She is joined by Jeremy, a former colleague, who is also recognized as an exceptional colorist and creative talent. What a team!
