Like New Shoe Repair

Do Not Use This Place!!! I dropped a handbag off two weeks ago that needed a minor stitch. I was told it could possibly be finished the next day. Five days later, I hadn't been called, so I called to check on my bag. They couldn't find the bag but said the 'lady that does the stitching' was out sick, they would locate the bag and call me back. A few more days passed with no call, so I called again. Again, she was out sick and he promised a call back. Four more days passed, so I went to the shop today to get my bag. The owner said 'she' was still out sick and it wasn't ready. I told him I wanted it anyway. He looked around his filthy, disorganized shop for 10 minutes, huffing and puffing because I wouldn't leave without the bag. He couldn't find it. I asked him if I could look in the back because I was starting to get worried. He let me in the back of the shop but then tells me my comment about being worried really made him mad. I had a mouthful of things I wanted to say to him, but I was alone in the back of a dingy shop with him and thought better of escalating the situation. Finally, he magically locates the bag and tells me he is tired of 'you people' coming into his shop looking for their items. Really? I bet you are!!! That seems to be a common review for this place. I grabbed my $250 leather bag and got out of there quick. I am glad I went and got it; i have a feeling they were planning on making a little re-sale profit off of it. more

My experience was wonderful here. My shoes were ready in two days versus their 3 day estimate. The sole replacement on my $200 men's shoes made them look like $300. The replacement soles looked better than the original. Absolutely beautiful workmanship and quality of materials. Glad I hadn't read the other reviews first, I would have missed out on a great shoe repair. Can't explain why the other customers had such bad experiences but mine was very pleasant. I dropped boots off and was told "" 3 weeks"" After 5 weeks I went into the store and was told ""not done yet"" even though they couldn't find them. I went in twice after that and was told ""not done yet""-- even though they couldn't find them. I also sent an email which was not responded to. After 7 weeks I wnet in and made Mr Wells the owner look for the boots. He couldn't find them, but after about 10 minutes of searching, came out with them and slammed thm on the counter. He stated he called 2 weeks prior and left a message about the boots- saying they were beyond repair. I checked my caller id-- I did not receive a call. I told Mr Wells that was fine-- I'll just take them back-- he began cursing at me stating he called and didn't get a call back. I stated, clamly that there was no need to curse and he began cursing louder. If there was a message left, when I came in 3 times and also sent an email, why wasn't I informed about it then? Instead he just stated ""not done"" without even looking for them. DON'T GO THERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CURSED OUT!!!!! more

I dropped my shoes off about a month ago and have tried to pick them up several weeknights about 10 minutes before closing time. The owner locked the doors and was clearly inside but did not open them even though I knocked. Upon going in on a Saturday, he told me that he couldn't find them so I needed to come back. He refused to offer to look for them at that point. I called three times during the week to tell him that I was coming back in the next Saturday but he blew me off. Upon going in the next Saturday, he refused to even look for them and when I told him that I needed my shoes back after a month, he asked me to pay him a storage fee in a rude tone. He also began to get very defensive and also violent when pressed to find the shoes. The owner of this business has no customer service skills and doesn't care when he loses people's shoes. DO NOT TAKE YOUR SHOES TO BE FIXED HERE or you may not ever get them back! more
