Worst

There have been a few bad experiences with this office which have made me seek care elsewhere:

Bad Customer Service 3/5/2012

I made an appointment 3 months ago, wrote it on my calendar arrived yesterday day of 15 mins early to my surprize they didn't have me on their schedule but they told me the doctor wasn't there yet and their were 2 couples already waiting. The recp told me I could fill out the paper work as I was new and the doctor would see me I asked when she couldn't tell me as it was my day off I told her my time was just as valuable as hers. I don't know about doctors now days I'm from a time when you have an appointment for a certain time I'm there within 5 mins Not a very good first impression she obviously doesn't need the buisness. I wish they would of told me she didn't care enough to be there or have a good staff. more

Highly recommended 2/17/2012

Dr Michelle Lewis was highly recommended to me and she delivered my baby at the beginning of this month and I absolutely love her. She has great bedside manners and during delivery she gets you focused and is sort of like a coach. I would use her again if I decided to get pregnant again. You will love her. Just be ready to wait sometimes because she is a one women practice. It's worth I though! ( more

RUDE, RUDE STAFF!!! 4/15/2011

I've been going to her for several years, as my mother referred me since she has been going for several years before me and highly recommended her. I personally have had the WORST experiences with her staff, mainly the front desk. They booked me on a Saturday morning, which I was not aware they werent even open on weekends. They called to confirm the day before, so I show up on my appt day and the office is closed. I called the following Monday, left a voicemail and no one ever returned my call. I finally got ahold of a rude front desk girl about 6 days later and instead of saying ""I'm sorry, we made a mistake let me reschedule you"" she proceeded to ARGUE with me saying ""no we never scheduled you. we don't schedule saturday appts, etc"" I was getting frustrated that she was arguing with me and saying the earliest she could get me in would be a month from then! I was frustrated as I had booked my appt about 3 months in advance and now saying I had to wait ANOTHER MONTH, though it was their fault!!! I went in circles and they kept transferring the phone to different staff members who wouldn't let me share my behalf and continually cut me off when speaking and ultimately hung up on me. VERY rude, highly do NOT recommend this place. It's unfortunate, because dr. lewis is a good doctor, but due to her staff she just lost another patient. more

Amazing Doctor!!!! 11/17/2010

Dr. Lewis just delivered my second son. My experience with her and her staff was phenomenal!!! She is such an amazing Doctor and is truly an incredible person. I can not say enough about how great my experience was with her. more

Dr. Lewis is uncaring, superficial & has horrible staff 10/7/2010

Through my 8+ years with Michelle Lewis and her constant turnover of staff over the years, I will be seeking out a physician who still remembers and cares aboout their oath and patient care. more

Best Dr. Ever 9/17/2010

Dr.Lewis had been my doctor for 8 yrs and would still be if I hadn't moved away. She delivered all 3 of my babies, my oldest now almost 15 years old. She is a wonderful Dr. and very nice sweet person. Always took the time to answer any question I had and never rushed me out. Many times I had to bring my kids to appointments, she was always very patient and kind to them. She was always good at calling back if i had called with a concern. Very good bedside manner, always calmed what ever fears i had, especially when I had a emergency c-section with my youngest. Though she did use a lot of pet nemes( i.e Sweetie, honey, beautiful) she did know my name and would call me by name. I hve yet to find another dr. ad good, caring and compassionette as her. more

Pass on this doctor if you are 40+ 9/8/2010

I have seen Dr. Lewis for the past few years and really liked her. I have no ob/gyn problems and always felt Dr. Lewis was a good doctor. Not anymore. more

It's your body! Why would you settle for anything less! 6/30/2010

I tried two other OB/GYN's until I found Dr. Lewis. She has been my doctor now for 5+ years and only wish I found her first. She has now delivered my first baby girl and will also deliver my second baby. Dr. Lewis is caring, understanding, gives great advice, easy to schedule with, and always does what's in my best interest. She is very easy to get a hold of and gives 100% to my needs and concerns. Dr. Lewis and her staff are wonderful at getting me in last minute and returning phone calls with answers/solutions to all my questions. I work in the medical field and have had a chance to meet plenty of doctors in this town. Word was that ""Dr. Lewis is the best in town"" they were not kidding! It's my body and my health so why would I want anything else but the best. My baby is almost 4 months old now and Dr. Lewis has made it a wonderful experience from the delivery, to breastfeeding and body changes to getting my body back. I recommend Dr. Lewis to all my family and friends EVERY time. Pros: friendly, great staff, understanding, very caring, the best Cons: nothing at all more

Poor reviews must be from chronically unhappy people... 6/19/2010

I'm really not sure why there are so many negative reviews for Dr. Lewis on here. My guess is that these ladies have some sort of complex going on that causes them to not be satisfied with anything, regardless of how good it is. Dr. Lewis is incredible. She is kind, compassionate, caring, and understanding. She does not judge and is very supportive. She knows her stuff! The staff is very friendly and helpful so I don't know where in the world these ""rude staff"" comments are coming from. Perhaps you were not so nice to begin with? I would recommend Dr. Lewis to anyone looking for a good OB/GYN. For those who posted negative reviews, I am really not sure what your issues are, but I am almost certain that you probably have an attitude problem or something, because the chances that this office and doctor would be flat out rude or unhelpful is very slim in my opinion. Pros: Great attitude, friendly staff, nice office, outstanding doc more

Dr Lewis is great but all is lost on the rude staff 9/14/2009

Look....I have been a patient for a while, Dr Lewis is great and I'm sure people have had a great experiences with her....but first things first...making an appointment ..that's the mountain you have to climb in order to see the good Dr! I was hung up on, asked to call back, left many voice mails and never called back. Test results were given to me 10 days later when needed within 24 hours for an infection (very dangerous BTW!), and not after me calling and calling! I was also told by a front desk person that I needed a referral in order to make an appointment with her for a breast examine. Staff says it's her policy. Just save all the bitchy staff phone calls, delayed test results and just plain old run-around and go to somoene else with a nice staff that cares. This is our ""great"" OB in the henderson area...please, someone help us! Dr.'s and their office staff go hand in hand...if one fails, the whole ship is going down! Cons: Waiting time is too long, staff is the worst in town! more

terrible staff 8/28/2009

I was not a new patient but changed my insurance, when i gave them my insurance card they told me it was not updated.I had no idea what she meant cause this was what the ins had send me to use.I called the ins while i was there after my husband faxed his ins card over (they said that wasn't the right one either) The ins man was very helpfull and asked if he could talk to the staff member.I handed my cellphone but the staff said they didn't take customers phones, the ins employee had to call the office. The ins man did while he put me on hold. When he got back with me ha said i had to make a new appointment and that he would send me the new updated ins card.Since i was at the office already and had my appointment i asked if he could fax the prove of ins to that office. The ins man said he told the staff to call a # to pick up the fax automatically and that the staff refused to do that. Pros: nice doctor Cons: rude staff, they do not care about people more

Horrible staff and Uncaring Doctor 7/27/2009

Through my 6 months of experience with Michelle Lewis and her staff, I have been thoroughly dissatisfied and I am finally fed up and moving on. Her staff is unprofessional, makes mistakes, they are rude, and overall just don't seem to care. They told me the incorrect time for some lab work and when I asked them about it after, they told me I should have called the lab directly. They setup the appointment and gave me the information incorrectly. And if you ever want to call and ask Dr Lewis a question, you never will. You will leave a message for her, but you always talk to and get a response from receptionists. I would say if everything is routine, you are okay with M. Lewis. But if anything is out of the ordinary, go somewhere else because you will not get what you pay for. Pros: Had a nice office conviniently located Cons: Staff is terrible; You never talk to Michelle; Lack caring more

Great Doctor 7/22/2009

My mother has been seeing Dr. Lewis for years and when I was old enough, started going to see her (lucky enough!) and have been since. She performed surgery on my ovary 2 years ago that couldn't have gone better. She listens, shows that she cares and also does her job %100. I have nothing near negative to say about Dr. Lewis and her staff. The staff are enduring, friendly, helpful and always have a wonderful attitude. If you want a dependable, caring doctor that you'll keep going back to for years, this is the one! Cons: Unappreciative patients who take advantage. more

Dr.Lewis is wonderful!! 7/8/2009

Ivw been going to Dr.Lewis for over 7 years now. She's performed two surgeries, and delivered my beautiful daughter via c-section. I am still her patient, and she is due to deliver my son later this year. She's a great doctor, very helpful and ajeats willing to lend a hand or answer questions. My husband and I couldn't imagine anyone else delivering our children. She is definitely worth the wait you may experience at her office. Staff is very friendly and helpful as well. People will always fund something negative to say, and who caresvwhst she does with her body it's her business- she's a great doctor! more

nasty 6/7/2009

too much time examing, nurse looking at me very much like see wanted me.to much skin showing.no privacy. my breast were played with not examed and pelvic exam was more of a feel for her pleasure.i was warned but I did'nt listen.people told me so.But I always no more. Pros: saw a doctor Cons: feel like a piece of meat more

Dr. Lewis is Amazing! 11/22/2008

I love Dr. Lewis. I think she is a great doctor and really cares about what she does. She delivered my first son Landon and did an amazing job. She did call me beautiful and sweetie, but I didn't mind. I was a fat blimp and my body was going through all kinds of new changes. What pregnant woman doesn't want to hear that she is beautiful? She was always willing to work around my schedule and her staff was extremely helpful in making sure my appointments fit with my work schedule. During my C-section Dr. Lewis made me feel like a million bucks. She made the atmosphere very comfortable. I was very scared, but she made me feel so much better. I absolutely love her and if I hadn't moved out of state, I would have her deliver my next baby! I think there are people out there who just like to write bad reviews and are pestimistic. Nobody's perfect. I highly reccomend Dr. Lewis!! Pros: Really cares, down to earth, quality of care Cons: she accepts patients who are not appreciative more

Keep the Broad Picture 10/7/2008

Like anyone else, I am concerned about what doctors my family sees and take an interest in their background, bedside manner, board complaints, charges, availability, etc. As doctors are human, even the best ones make mistakes or dont deal with certain patients in ways those patients believe they should be dealt with. This shows with most doctors receiving both positive and negative reviews. My wife and I started seeing one OB/GYN when we were having our first son - and we dropped her fast because of what we perceived to be extremely questionable and sensitive ethical/moral matters (abortion). Others may not have seen such an issue in the same light. We then chose Dr. Lewis and 2 sons later, have been quite satisfied with the services she has provided. Occasionally I or my wife would have to deal with billing issues or questioned bedside manner in that yes, she doesnt call you by name. In the delivery room - Lewis is a COACH! but gets the job done. How much plastic surgery/botox she has had shouldnt bear on a fair review of her qualifications as a physician and I think shows a lack of maturity in other patients. She probably sees how fat and nasty some women are who have decided to bear children and would love to say something to them about their appearance - I dont know. It doesnt matter. The bottom line is this - as long as the doctor is not trying to defraud me or diagnose me when he is drunk or utilize imprudent treatments, I think they will get the job done. I have seen dozens of different docs and some of them are cold as ice, but they got the job done. End of story. Pros: She cares about her practice and is prudent in treatment Cons: Nothing that I have seen out of the ordinary with a business; Standard delay in keeping appt times more

Thought I'd Chime In 9/5/2008

I'm as opinionated as it comes with the medical system and how they treat people like cattle or dollar signs, and I'm not the type to write a scathing review if I get poor service... I just don't go somewhere anymore, and that's it. After reading some of the poor reviews Dr. Lewis has had though, I had to put in my 2 cents. Dr. Lewis has been my wife's doctor for over 5 years now. We first went to her in a time where there was the mass shortage of OBGYNs because of poor practice, high rates of lawsuits (etc.) and doctors were fleeing the city because the lawyers were catching up to their poor standards of practice. Knowing this, I researched for about a month to find the PERFECT doctor for my wife (we were going to start trying to have a family, and I didn't want just anyone). After weighing EVERY doctor in town in the balance, Dr. Lewis came out on top. Pros: She is as good as they come. Cons: She has an addiction to cosmetic surgery. more

Not thorough, cares more about appearance 4/10/2008

I DO NOT recommend Dr. Lewis at all. She did a very cursory exam and did not even examine my breasts. Her office had more advertisements for cosmetic procedures than OBGYN info, this led me to beleive she was more concerned with cosmetic medicine than what her specialty really is. I would not want her delivering my baby or performing any surgery on me. She seemed very fake herself and looks as though she has had every procedure done to herself. Just didn't seem very professional for an MD. more

POOR COMMUNICATION! 4/7/2008

If you want a doctor that pretends everything is great and perfect, then afterwards blames all potential risks and problems on you, then choose Dr. Lewis. Dr. Michelle Lewis's basic communication is very poor. She was my doctor for 3 years, but after my recent experience under her care with my first pregnancy, it became very evident how poor the communication really is. She is very, very nice lady. Always ""buttering"" you up by saying ""sweetie,"" ""You look great!"", etc. My prenatal appointments were very easy, quick, right to the point. I liked that. I always came out feeling like a million bucks. It wasn't until a follow-up appointment after the successful delivery of my baby that I lost all trust in Dr. Lewis. She told me she knew I was having a large baby and I should have not refused induction. The truth is (with my husband as my witness at our final prenatal appointments prior to delivery), there was NO talk of large baby. Not only that, but I SPECIFICALLY asked Dr. Lewis at 39 weeks if there was ANY reason I needed to induce this baby. She simply said, ""No."" , and recommended that we think about induction if we were to reach 41 weeks. The fact is: My husband and I NEVER refused induction. We electively induced at 40 weeks 4 days, and induction that we set up on our own by calling Dr . Lewis's office the day before the induction. When I confronted Dr. Lewis and told her she NEVER communicated to me that she thought my baby was large, she answered, ""Honey I could tell by just looking at you."" It would have been nice if she would have communicated all of the information that she claimed to have known BEFORE the delivery. Instead, she gave it to me after the delivery in a bery ""back-handed ""way. Although no harm was done in the end, serious complications and harm could have occured by her not communicating things to me. Cons: Poor Communication more
