Best

..it started with the girl sitting at front desk who was pleasant as could be, followed by a competent hygienist who cleaned my teeth well, and a good encounter with the dentist...

Worst

Rude, unbelievablely bad. Do your homework on this guy! Anyone giving a positive review has to be paid to do it. Nothing is right here.

Editorial review from Citysearch 3/25/2014

I am a long-term patient and have had nothing but outstanding service from this dental office. When I broke a tooth at a party and called Dr. Laska at home he was helpful and gracious and\r didn't charge anything for his service...when I had an oral cancer scare, they charged me $0 for a follow-up visit . more

Worst dentistry ever don't let the nice looking office fool you, they misdiagnosed a problem I had with teeth so they could make more money off me, I REPEAT DO NOT GO HERE! more

I have been going to Laska Dental for 5/2/2012

I have been going to Laska Dental for about the last year or so. I just called their office to cancel my appointment for the next day at 11am (I called at 6:30pm). The receptionist informed me that I will be charged a $20 fee for cancelling without giving them a 24 hour notice. This is the second time they've charged me this fee which Mike Laska apparently requires. I guess his millionaire lifestyle and Milwaukee riverfront condo lifestyle need to be supported somehow. Rude office staff with a nasty attitude. Their female dentist (forgot her name) is awesome, but she's the only reason I kept going back. Did I mention their services are more expensive than comparable nearby dentists? Awful. I'd rate them a half star if I could. more

I want to say that Dr. Spencer and her 12/29/2011

I want to say that Dr. Spencer and her team of WONDERFUL staff members are so great!!! They got me in right away when I called with pain and made sure to explain to me everything that was going on. I do not like dentist at all and I must say that I was soooooooo very pleased with the way that they handled my ultimate fear of being worked on!!!!! They are wonderful with my elderly parents that have going there since Dr. Laska opened his practice. I would recommend this place to anyone that is looking for an outstanding dentist! GREAT JOB EVERYONE!!!! more

EXCELLENT 11/6/2011

I have been going to Dr. Laska for at least 15 years. I have never had a better dentist. He tells you straight and works with you to get your desired result. His staff is very friendly and helpful. I have never left his office unhappy, even after a cavity! I travel nearly 40 minutes to see this man, he makes me WANT to go to the dentist. more

A Walking Time Bomb 10/20/2011

This man is a drug induced mess!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!!!!! more

TERRIBLE TEMPER 9/22/2011

I had been a patient for many years, and over the years noticed Dr. Laska becoming more high strung, less professional, and rather aggressive. He lacks any of the qualities that you would think a dentist would need to possess. He is insenstive and honestly can make you feel VERY uncomfortable while youre in the chair. Not only has he demonstrated this behavior upon his patients but his employees as well, I have seen several occasions of him mistreating them as well. The front office staff is no better than he is, they are not cooperative with bill pay or even appointment setting. Do not be fooled by the modern look of the place, because the staff makes this place a total dump. more

BEWARE 3/15/2011

Witnessed his horrible temper while in his office. Scared the hell out of me!!! more

Outstanding, Brilliant, Perfectionist 11/17/2010

I am ecstatic I was so worried to have a root-canal and crown; I actually made myself sick thinking about it. A friend told me to go see a Dr. Michael Laska in Hales Corners, my first words were, “Where’s that and why”? She stated simply, “he’s the best”. I am so happy I listened to her. I live on the south side of Appleton, so going to see Dr. Laska took some planning on my part; it was well worth the trip! Everyone in the office from the person at the front desk, to the girls who are either assistants or hygienists was friendly and professional. Dr. Laska sensing my nervousness explained what he was doing during my procedure. I really appreciated his approach; he was professional yet down to earth and friendly during a stressful protocol. Best of all I did not have to make a second trip to have the final crown placed. Dr. Laska has a new machine that manufacturers the crown right there, and it fit perfectly! It was awesome to have the whole thing done in one visit. My nightmare turned into a very pleasant experience! more

NO problems at all 8/10/2010

I have had multiple fillings done and they NEVER asked for my co payment a head of time. They are wonderful! more

Wish I would have seen these reviews earlier 6/22/2010

My husband joined me at this practice after quite a few years. They wanted him to come back again for a particular service. They, however, performed additional service, without notification, which the insurance did not cover. All to the tune of $390. Within moments of my conversation with the billing manager, she became derogatory and started telling me how ""you people need to learn to take responsibility"" and ""even my children would have known what questions to ask"". It was absolutely horrible. She said she would talk to the dentist and return my call - she did not. I wrote to the dentist - still no response. Actually, not entirely true - I was sent a bill with finance charges tacked on. Pros: modern office, friendly dentist Cons: the most unprofessional billing manager more

I had to leave them.. 4/1/2010

I was very excited to see a newly remodeled dental office a block away from my home. I wanted to go there. I made several appointments with Laska Dental. All was well, I suppose. I'd get my co-pay bill in the mail, and pay it at my next appointment. It just became 'routine' I guess. \r \r Well, I too, was charged for their so called ""double cleaning"", which they made me think was MY teeth's fault, I had NO idea I was to get billed for it months later. But, sure enough, I did. So, I did see the statements they sent, I just figured, I should really make an appointment and pay it. So I decide to open the last statement, and there it is hand written: ""WE HAVE BEEN THROUGH THIS BEFORE, PAY IN FULL NOW OR WE WILL CONTACT OUT COLLECTION ATTORNEY"" Then, I see in my mailbox a certified letter to pick up at the post office. REALLY!?!?!? I am not going to the post office to pick up the same letter that I just read. So, instead of making an appointment to come back (EVER!) I sent my check IN FULL, with a note explaining how I thought it was rude and judgemental to threaten me with this ""we've been down this road before"" stuff, and to please take me off any client lists, as I will not be back. I also said, ""WOW! This is the way you treat people for $72, thank gosh my bill wasn't $300, I can't imagine the treatment I'd get then"".\r Long story short..They got their $72.31. I was thinking, maybe my letter would open someone's eyes around there, that the customer service aspect was lacking. NOPE! I check my mail today, and low and behold: another statement for 71 CENTS, 72 CENTS and a $5.54 charge for a certified letter, that i did not even pick up, sign for, read, etc. \r I'm just wondering if possible a PHONE CALL stating my $72 was end all, be all for this business would've sufficed, instead of the unecessary postage? Maybe?\r Sorry for the rant, but I am just suprised that a usually pleasant office could have such lack of tact for their patients. Actually, a FORMER patient. I hope that ""collection attorney"" has the know how to tell them that they should just eat their own postage. Pros: modern, quiet, friendly hygentists Cons: lacks tact, judgmental, assuming, condescending more

Your Checkbook comes first... Customer Service optional 3/3/2010

The only reason I considered switching from a dentist I love is because my Employer changed Insurance plans, and my regular guy was suddenly ""Out of Network"". \r \r The Laska Dental hygenist started talking about double cleaning appointments (which, of course, means twice the $$) after a few words of conversation... having never looked in my mouth. When I declined having my wisdom teeth extracted--teeth that are solid, healthy, and have never given me any pain or trouble--they acted as though I was some kind of idiot for not simply taking orders. \r \r I decided the 10% less coverage for my beloved previous dentist was WAY worth it. When I contacted Laska to have my x-rays sent to my original dentist, they charged me $15 to do it! Today, 2 weeks later, the x-rays have still not been received by my original dentist... but boy, the money sure disappeared out of my checking account and into Laska's pocket two weeks ago! Ridiculous. Avoid this office at all costs. Cons: condescending, impersonal, only your money is valued more

Execellent work 2/9/2010

Dr. Laska is an artist. The work I had done was life changing. My teeth never looked this good. (After years of sloppy denistry for a front cap that was covering a tooth that was chipped in 1967) The atmosphere is always calm in the waiting room. I love the fact that there are no screaming kids running around. Pros: Appointments are always on time. more

Administration is really inflexible 2/1/2010

This place is all about business. Apparently they do not go one inch out of the book, not even for special occasions. They left an appointment voice mail that nobody at home could understand. Apparently the appointment was for my husband who was on a business trip out of the country. The message was left on Friday, but could not get to it until Friday evening. I could not talk to my husband until Sunday and by power of elimination, we concluded the appointment could be for Dr. Laska. When I called on Monday to even ask if that was the case, they told me that they will charge me the $30 cancelation. When I tried to explain to the office what happened, they COULD CARE LESS!!! Also, they are not flexible as the office’s policy is against scheduling children after 5:00 P.M. Cons: Inflexible in scheduling and cancelling appointments more
