I was looking for an upscale, typical Cuban restaurant to host some out of tower's; however, I was disappointed in the lack of authenticity. The pork was good, but was served with raw onions. The palomillo steak was as dry as cardboard and again, was served with raw onions. more

Bad Servic 4/9/2012

My family and I went on Easter Sun. to Las Culebrinas and experienced horrible service. I have been there many times and have never had this happen. First no hostess, no hello from anyone. We asked for escargot not available, no salad availble, my son's soda never came and his meal arrived 25 minutes before every one elses. To top it all off, we got another tables bill. All of this occured at 2:30 in the afternoon. It was a very unpleasant experience. more

Terrible service & food. I was completely dissapointed. The waitress took half the order & took off then returned 5 min. Later. Flanigans had no parking so we picked the nearest place. :( more

We reserved the second floor of the restaurant for my cousins wedding it was great , We stayed pretty much untill they closed. The food and service was exceptional as always. We usually go during the week when the wait ls less than on weekends. The parking is valet and its in front of the restaurant which is very conviniet. The Sangra is very good and the food is excelent, ive never had a complaint about the food nor their service, I have been to all their Restaurants for years.... Perfect for families and kids very friendly staff. more

Sucked. Music, food, atmosphere, valet. All not worth the time. Embarassingly awful for me with out of town guests. Never again! more

Food of the gods! 10/13/2008

I love latin food to start with, so this place had a head start. But these guys do cuban like nobody else in town. Furthest thing from a cafeteria you could ask for - tablecloths, piano player, efficient service . . . and of course, amazing food!\r \r The tostones rellenos are so good! There are other appetizers I keep meaning to try, but every time I go, I order these. I just can't resist them - they are really that delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about them!\r \r They have the usual array of cuban entrees, but dressed up nicer than most Miami Cuban restaurants do. You can get churrasco stuffed with fufu, vaca frita on a bed of fufu (not every dish has fufu, I just really like the way they make it, so those are two of my favorites!), delicious rabo encendido (oxtails), chicharrones de pollo . . . you name it, they've got it - and its delicious!\r \r If I had any complaint, it would be that it gets crowded. But that goes along with offering amazing food at not so amazingly high prices. I never eat in empty restaurants anyhow - makes me wonder what everyone else knows that I don't. Pros: Yummy, Delicious, Tasty Cons: Wee bit crowded sometimes more

Fantastic Cuban Cuisine! Valet Parking, Superb Service all the way around!!! 3/31/2007

We drove 4 hours from Ocala to eat at Las Culebrinas! It is the most tastiest, most "finger-liking" food you will ever try. Between the fantastic service, the warm fresh bread, the sangria and the nice music playing, you will not want to leave! Every time we dine there with friends and family we experience the same great taste and service. Go hungry and expect to take a dogy-bag because the plates are BIG! I try to order something different every time and the latest was the pork with moros and yuca. YUM is how I would explain it! Simply perfect. We just love dining there!!!!! We never go to South Florida without having dinner there! Thank you Las Culebrinas for such great culinary art! P.S. There's so many cubans in Ocala - you might want to consider opening in Central Florida!!!!!! Please we beg you! Pros: Great Food! Cons: No cons! Everything good! more

Best real cuban food in Miami 6/12/2006

I've been to a lot of cuban restaurants in Miami, but the food in this place is the best and tastiest. The moro is the best I've had since I was a child in Cuba. The vaca frita was perfect, not the greasy type you'll probably find elsewhere, and it had a touch of lemon that was just right. I had a mamey flan for dessert and I'm still dreaming about it. I enjoy the food at other cuban restaurants but I always leave a bit nostalgic because it doesn't live up to my memories. Not the case in Las Culebrinas.\r The restaurant is usually noisy, so it's not the place to go if you want peace and quiet. Parking is pretty scarce, so it's better to use the valet. In spite of the bad reviews I've read about the service, the waiters and bus boys were very helpful and courteous when I went there. Pros: Great food Cons: Crowded more

Bad Service 1/30/2005

Saturday the 30, service was really bad. Manager was not helpful and very defensive with every customer. Is a shame having so good food, they have a manager that doesn't know was he's doing. The waiting to be seated was 45 min, the wait to get the appetizer was 45 min.No bread served until I asked no knife on the table. Pros: good food, average pricing Cons: Bad Service, Slow seating, Crowded more

Original still the best... 7/14/2003

Atmosphere and service are better at the original location Flagler and 49th street. Food remains top notch. Somehow, moving the menu to larger quarters resulted in a more institutional and less cozy feel. Fried Pork chunks are to die for..tender shoulder meat presented on a bed of avocado sauce. Seafood dishes are well prepared. A great option here is to bypass entrees and try some of their fabulous appetizers. The Sausages and Scallops is a dreamy surf and turf. Old Cuban stand-by's have an added flair. Vaca Frita is garliky and deliscious. Leave room for desserts, they are well prepared and offer a bit of flair with the caramelizing done table side. Visit the original instead. Pros: shareable portions, good value, parking Cons: service hit or miss, cavernous, loud more

  • In Short
Outdoor patio seating surrounds a busy bar, with blenders whirring away on fruit shakes, smoothies, and more potent libations. A smaller dining room is available for those seeking shelter from the elements, but outside is where you want to be. Healthy salads, wraps, and sandwiches feed the mobile crowd by day, before heartier dishes like pumpkin ravioli, grilled tofu, and seared tuna greet the dinner crowd.
