Atmosphere and service are better at the original location Flagler and 49th street. Food remains top notch. Somehow, moving the menu to larger quarters resulted in a more institutional and less cozy feel.
Fried Pork chunks are to die for..tender shoulder meat presented on a bed of avocado sauce. Seafood dishes are well prepared.
A great option here is to bypass entrees and try some of their fabulous appetizers. The Sausages and Scallops is a dreamy surf and turf.
Old Cuban stand-by's have an added flair. Vaca Frita is garliky and deliscious. Leave room for desserts, they are well prepared and offer a bit of flair with the caramelizing done table side. Visit the original instead.
