Terrible Experience, Amatuer Finance/Clerical Staff 8/21/2012

Do not buy here! For the sales pitch they printed off the trucks options and the prices. A hitch was on the list. The truck has every option, so I never thought to look. The salesman didn’t either. At home, I realized no hitch. My fault for not looking but still not right. I called them and the answer I got back was sorry. No attempt to make right. The Finance Mgr was slimy! Tried to up sell everything even after I told him many times I did not want it. His last attempt he advised I could get the rate down 1% if I bought the warranty. He crunched the #’s and told me that the payments/# of payments would be the same if I bought the warranty with the lower int%. I skeptically agreed. I read the docs and the payment /# of payments showed 6 more payments! I told him to take the add-ons off or I am out. Most frustrating was the tags. In IA tax and tag is rolled into the financing. The dealer sends the docs to the Treasurer who sends the plates. The process normally 2 weeks. I bought 7/28 and the in transits went to 8/20. 3 weeks go by, and no tags. I get a call from LMN 8/15. LMN recorded the mileage wrong and needed the current mileage. Fixed this, and they advised tags were coming. Did not receive the tags or any calls from the LMN or treasurers ofc. 8/16-no tags I call LMN and advised I do no tags. LMN tells me they sent on 8/15. I figured it takes 2 days to process so I would check 8/20. 8/20-Called the Treasurers and the tags were not processed yet. I call LMN back, and told them to fix it. LMN called the Treasurers office and the docs were there, so LMN advised I should get the tags. 8/21-Went to the Treasurer’s office, Damage Disclosure was not signed by LMN. Can’t issue plates without it. Now have to mail the document LMN have them sign, have it mailed back. Best scenario will have my plates 8/24. 4 days of driving on expired in transits! No offer to reimburse any of lost time or gas. Errors happen but there was no effort to give a heads up about a delay or apathy for the horrid experience. They Suck!! more

The entire staff was very friendly 11/29/2010

Originally I called Lake Manawa about buying a car and spoke to a nice man named Eric who suggested I fill out a simple form located on their website to get pre-approved for a loan. He called back about an hour after I filled out the application and we set up a time to come in and look around. Upon arrival, Eric was busy with another client and asked Teddy G to help us. I honestly thought since Teddy wasn't going to be the one to receive commission on our sale (since I had spoke to Eric earlier) he wouldn't care one way or another if we bought a car. Teddy G. proved me wrong (thankfully!) He did all the foot work and took care of us despite the fact that he may be losing his chance to sell cars to others. The entire staff was very friendly, unlike other dealerships we have gone to. Also, we didn't feel pressured to buy. I would recommend this dealership to anyone interested in buying or just looking to buy a car. more

The vehicle was great. The sales people were easy to work with and understood my needs and responded accordingly. It is one of the best car sales experience that I have ever had. It was easy to do business with this dealership and the treat you like family. They have my complete trust and cofidence and that is hard for me to say about a car dealership. more

Rob Davidson is the best salesperson that I have ever dealt with. He was knowledgeable about the vehicle and its features and answered our questions capably. He worked hard to find us the vehicle that we wanted even going to the "south 40" in hundred degree heat to make sure we were getting the best deal/vehicle on the lot! I found Rob to be very honest and open. He kept us informed every step of the way. I was referred to Rob by a friend and am truly happy for that referral based on the excellent experience that we had. I will definitely recommend Rob to anyone looking to buy a vehicle! more

When i first went into the car dealership, Antonio Rodriguez was the sales person that approached me. I told him what i was looking for and he showed me a couple different cars. Anotnio was very knowledgable about each one the cars he showed me. I offerd him a price on one of the vehicles, they excepted. I was very happy on the price. Antonio processed the paper work. Then i went to financing, I got interest rate i wanted. I was very happy with all the people i delt and how fast they were. I plan on buying my next vehicle there. more

I was a past customer from years ago. I got a new referral from a good friend, Mary, who recommended Teddy G. I had no idea what a pleasure it would be to work with him. He went above & beyond the call of a salesman! He asked me a few questions about what kind of vehicle I wanted and after looking at his inventory he realized he had the perfect vehicle for me. I was very impressed with his knowledge on everything. It was the first and ONLY car I looked at & test drove. I was not expecting to go home with a new/used car that day, but I am very happy I did. I bought a Kia Rondo & I have never owned a crossover vehicle before & I love it. I felt like Teddy had the right answer for all of my questions. This was the first time I purchased a vehicle on my own & being a single mother, I felt like I was treated absolutly amazing, not only by Teddy, but the whole staff! more

I had a very postive buying experence with this salesman. He was quite good at making an effort at keeping me interested in what there was to offer with his dealership and what the company had to offer, as far as deals. I don't like dealing with salesmen and usally take things quite personal and get a negative attitude. However this sales person was able to turn that attitude, around and make my buying a new car a postive experience. Most sales people are phony and full of themselver, Clint was real and seem to have my needs in mind with what he showed me in new trucks. He also was quite good at follow up after the sale. There was an addition of a bluetooth,as part of the truck deal. He went out of his way to make this happen. I would recommend the sales person 1st,and product a close 2nd. All in.this was a very postive experence. Doing something that is stressful and it was made pleasent buy your salesman. Thanks for the postive expereance! more

The most HONEST dealership 10/19/2010

I can not say enough NICE things about this dealership or Ernie Hope! In 2004 I bought a new 2004 Kia Sorento from Ernie. I live in Des Moines Iowa however the Lake Manawa Dealership out sold and out preformed the dealership in Des Moines by a LONG shot!!! Ernie drove the Kia to Des Moines for me to sign the papers and take ownership....he went above and beyond what any other sales person in the Des Moines Area would even consider! Just last month I had Ernie call my brother how was looking for a used car for my niece with NO luck in the Des Moines are (meaning the sales people were not helpful in finding what he wanted in his price range)....once again Ernie out preformed any car sales person in Des Moines. He had found exactly what my brother was looking for in a matter of a day. And when they went to look at the car it was EXACTLY what Ernie had told them over the phone. One other thing....this is how HONEST this dealership is: My brother had over paid by $100.00 and the ""dealership"" called to inform them that they had overpaid and they would get a refund to them that day. Tell me.....what other dealership would do that? I WILL buy again and send anyone that needs a vehicle to Ernie and Lake Manawa! more

I went to Nissan Kia lookin to buy a new car and found one that I liked. I did not feel pushed into buying anything and the service was good. Any questions I had they were answered and I was given many different options before I purchased anything.I was happy when I left there and I would go back any day. more

Teddy Graybill was an outstanding salesperson. We originally contacted him regarding a used Nissan Rogue we saw online. I was out of town and by the time I came back the vehicle had been sold. Teddy creatively found a way to get me into a new Rogue and kept the price at one I was comfortable with. It was a better price than any other dealer would give me. He's upfront and worked hard to come to the terms I needed on the purchase. He was diligent in making sure all I needed was taken care of even though some required some creative solutions on his part. Look over your docs carefully but if there are any discrepancies, Teddy will make sure it gets straightened out. LOVE my Rogue and LOVE Teddy. Giving Teddy an A+++ more

So Impressed 10/8/2010

I was researching car options for my son and called Lake Manawa Kia for some information. Antonio Rodriguez was so impressive over the phone that I cancelled the appointment I had scheduled with a competing car dealership and opted to drive 10 miles further to Council Bluffs. I am so glad that I did. Antonio was knowledgeable, accommodating and was enjoyable to work with. We decided to purchase new rather than used. Joe Hellman assisted us with putting the deal together. I feel that we got a fair price and he went out of his way for us when it came to customer service. I would definitely recommend this dealership and would highly recommend working with Antonio and with Joe. Due to their integrity and genuine willingness to work with us we decided purchase the car without visiting any other dealerships. more

I had a great experience buying my car. I started with a phone call before I droove all the way over to Council Bluffs from west Omaha. Teddy called me back and gave me a couple of options and offered to let me take the car home for a night. 1 night turned into 2, but it certainly helped me make my decision. They did what they had to do to stay within my budget but also get me a car that would fit my needs. The financing was a peice of cake and only took about 30 minutes. Everyone at the dealership was honest, helpful, and pleasant to deal with. I will be back! more

Went out of their way to find us a car 10/4/2010

Doug Gnader is the man that helped us the entire way through. We were in need of a van for our new daycare business and our family. We had a very low budget and were already into a lease vehicle with high monthly payments. We felt Doug understood and cared our our wants and needs. We felt he showed us his best of best used vans.It is a very nice van in very good shape and we really didnt want to let it slip through our fingers, but we already had a car. Doug went way out of his way to find a way for us to get rid of our monthy payments on our current vehicle so we had the ability to get the van we wanted. That was awesome! He sure worked hard and kept us up to date on all the news that came day after day. We have had the van for a month now and love it. We will be long time customers with any new or used cars at Lake Manawa Nissian Kia, because of Doug we beleive they will do us right and we fully trust them, which is hard to say about many car dealerships. Council Bluffs is lucky to have a place like Lake Manawa Nissian Kia and salesman like Doug! Thanks again! more

No-hassle approach 9/28/2010

We recently bought a 2010 Murano from Lake Manawa Nissan after visiting several other dealerships. We appreciated the no-hassle approach of Clint Ingalls, the young man we dealt with. He found us the exact vehicle we were looking for equipped the way we wanted it and had it in Omaha in a day. His word was good on everything he told us. The Business Office was equally efficient and didn't try to sell us extra things we didn't need. We would certainly recommend Lake Manawa Nissan to friends, and specifically encourage them to ask for Clint! more
