This is the worst buisness ever conducted!! 3/24/2010

If there was a zero, I would definitely rate this dump a zero! This place is a dump and the management is ridiculous and unprofressional. They sucker you into signing your life away and then they have no sympathy for people that need to get out of the contract. This place is ridiculous and they need to get SHUT down for good! I would not recommend anyone to go there! Cons: Too many too list! more

NOT WORTH THE MONEY 3/11/2010

I've been a member of the Thornton facility for many years. Equipment is old, steam room hasn't worked in 10 years, it's upstairs and exteremly hot during the summer. It's a joke to say the least! The showers are dirty, staff come to work sick! You'd be better off going to 24 or Bally. This place is a JOKE more

Going downhill fast 11/17/2009

I am in my third year at Lady Fitness and it is going downhill fast! First of all, English is no longer the first language, the music in the classes is mostly Latino now and the clientele is now in the middle 20's to early 30's range. The music is so INCREDIBLY LOUD you cannot hear through your own hearphones. They keep the temperature around 80 degrees in the summer and the winter. The awful odor of 30-40 sweaty, smelly women is enough to make you want to throw up. I used to love this place, now i can barely drag myself there. You can constantly complain about the heat and the loud music, but they wont do anything about it. So..........even for me, after three years, its time to move on to a new gym. Sorry, Lady Fitness......you guys need to get it together and FAST! Most of the women who started there as clients when I did, are long gone now. They couldnt handle the sad changes either. Pros: Plenty of parking, great trainers, great support Cons: going downhill more

Red Flags*** 10/24/2009

I decided to take a ""tour"" of Lady Fitness and was unimpressed with what I saw. The equipment looks 20 years old and the space is small. Their main selling point (which they stressed OFTEN) was that there are no men allowed, however they have male fitness instructors teaching the group classes! I was told that I would have to sign a 2 or 3 year contract to join and that if I joined that day I would get a $100.00 discount from the already outrageous cost. I told them that I needed to tour other fitness centers and I couldn't decide right then and there. I was told that If I came back another day, the discount would NOT apply. There aren't too many fitness centers that require contracts anymore and this place seems stuck in the 1980's in more ways than one. Pros: Not very many members Cons: Over priced, require 2 or 3 year contracts, old equipment more

Don't Join 8/31/2007

I joined the one in Aurora, not only are you suckered into a long contract, its impossible to get out of! I had to do everything short of promising my first born child to prove I was moving somewhere that a Lady Fitness was not located. Then I was denied! So now I'm stuck paying a monthly fee to a gym in a different state!! I've had car salesman that were more ethical!! more

I really liked it 6/8/2007

I was going to the Lady Fitness over in Lone Tree. I really liked it. I didn't think the ""women only"" thing would be a big deal. I didn't think I had an issue with men being there. But when I joined Lady Fitness, I loved how I didn't have to feel self concious AT ALL. I didn't realize that I had been at my old gym. The Lone Tree facility was brand new, clean. The women were nice and a few of them recognized me in the beginning. As time went on, though, the daycare started to look really rough and dirty. I wondered if anything ever got cleaned. Machines started to show wear and weren't attended to. Younger girls started to work there and they did act very cliquey and high school. They didn't greet me or they gave me the ""teenager"" ""What?"" look as I came in the door. The old staff members and trainers were still great. The classes were excellent. The childcare was pricey for two children, and the fact that the location was far away, I did end up quitting. If they were closer and I had the money, I would join again. I would recommend you try it. They are as close to a full service women-only gym that I've ever tried. Pros: Large childcare area, good spacious, bright locker room, nice equipment, fantastic classes Cons: Repairs not fixed promptly, questionable cleanliness of childcare, some staff is young and rude more

Great All-Women Environment 6/1/2007

This is the third gym that I have tried and I find Lady Fitness absolutely AMAZING! I go to the Lady Fitness on 6th avenue in Aurora and my peronal trainer, Natalie, is the greatest. In four weeks she helped me to lose 7 1/2 inches! She has been working with me since day one and if she is unavailable, she finds a replacement trainer. All the personal trainers are well qualified and ready to help any time. Don't let the fact that the trainers are all women fool you. Their workouts are tough! I have found that all the clients (women) are working towards the same goal and are supportive and encouraging to one another. You don't have the issue of men checking you out or trying to pick you up. The atmosphere is very energetic and you will find yourself wanting to stay longer! The machines are smaller and made to fit women so are comfortable and easier to work with. I find the facilities to be very clean and they seem to be cleaning/wiping the machines all the time. The prices are so affordable that you cant use cost as an excuse NOT to get into shape. The fact that they are not opened on Sunday is not an issue for me as I workout during the week, after work. Lady Fitness is located in what used to be a strip mall, so there is plenty of parking! The neighborhood is safe, the parking lot is well lit and you never have to waste time driving around looking for a parking space. I wish I had discovered Lady Fitness a long time ago. I HIGHLY recommend this all women gym. Pros: Affordable personal training, plenty of parking Cons: no hot tub more

Lady Fitness - Thornton location 1/4/2006

I'm very familiar with this gym. Members are suckered into paying inflated rates....$300 and up for a year...pa-leese! You shouldn't have to pay more than $200/year...I pay a little less than that. The trainers in Thornton, while well-intentioned, are a little too social and click-ish for me. If you don't make friends with them, you'll feel like you're back in high school, being outcast by the cheerleaders. Facility hours are too limiting. Closed on Sundays and every possible holiday. On the bright side, there's something nice about an all-female gym atmosphere. No muscle-head boys leering or hogging the equipment. The equipment is good, compared to other gyms. They have smaller machines, designed women...and just the right variety. Watch for specials...6months for $99. Pros: equipment, atmosphere, classes Cons: too expensive, click-ish trainers, hours more

Don't Join Or You'll Be Sorry! 10/23/2002

I went to the one in Thornton, and this place totally sucks! Their staff is stuck up and they're rude, they dont even greet you, they just look at you. Most of the equipment are old and it's so stuffy and stinky. The personal trainers are very dumb too, they don't give you any real pointers they just want to teach you the basics and leave. Don't waste $20 for 3 years on a ""women only"" fitness center, they can be very catty! Plus, they don't turn on much air conditioning when you're breakin a sweat with 50 other ladies. Pros: Inexpensive, Women weights Cons: Small facility, Bad parking, Bad hours to open more
