I'm not sure as to why people are so negative about this place...there is plenty do on a hot Saturday. The price may be a little more expensive than I would have liked but they of...

Worst

My family and I have gone to Volente Beach once on our own and twice at a company function. We were unhappy with the outrageous prices, terrible food, and bad customer service. ...

What a waste of time and money!!! 7/3/2011

Good: nothing. Bad: we drove from San Antonio to come to this place only there for ten minutes, water park was so small only a little pool for kids not much for them to do, a couple water slides, and a pool for adults. After 10 minutes we asked for our money back very disappointed!!! We couldn't even get beach access. Don't waste your time and money, very over priced!!!!. Improvements: Lower prices, beach access and more to do. This place is way too small and a waste of time.. more

Don't Waste Your Money 7/20/2009

Don't waste your money. You could have more fun putting a sprinkler in the back yard and having the neighbors come over. Volente Beach is over priced and is not well maintained. Becaue of my 6 year old sons height, he had to pay full price. For a family of 4, this came out to $80. I wish I would have read the reviews before we went. The water was dirty, it smelled, the kiddy pool had algae growing in it, one of the large slides was shut down, the picnic tables and other facilities were in poor repair and it was crowded. The park is too small and after awhile everyone was bored with what there was to do there. This is one of biggest waste of money I have spent in a long time. more

Don't believe these other bogus reviews 7/8/2009

The positive reviews about Volente Beach on this site appear to be bogus, as they were all written within a very short time period in 2005. Looks like someone posted a bunch of reviews to try to beef up business. Let me assure you that this place is not worth your time or money. It is a complete rip-off, with very little to do and prices that are ridiculous. My family got bored with this place very quickly, as they only have one pool for anyone over about 4 years old, and exactly three short "slides". The "beach" portion is poorly maintained and actually a little dangerous given the broken glass strewn around. I had read a number of poor reviews but allowed my kids to talk me into going. Big mistake. A few bucks more would have gotten us into Schlitterbahn, an experience that would have been better for everyone. My kids were quite disappointed in the experience. more

We Bought Season Passes 10/25/2007

We loved having Volente Beach Waterpark so close on Lake Travis! The staff was friendly and we were impressed with the lifeguards. Loved the food and loved the margaritas! We had so much fun, we bought season passes on the day we visited and they credited the daily admission to the price! more

Volente Beach Water Park 4/14/2006

My family and I have been coming to Volente Beach for several summers now and enjoy our visits each and every time. This place is good for all ages because they have rides or pool areas to accomodate for toddlers as well as older children. Since I do not like to drive so far and stand in long lines this place is a great place as an alternate to the bigger water parks around. It is also a lot cheaper to have a fun day at this water park I was very impressed with the deligence of their lifeguards and how well they monitored the children. I felt that safety was of utmost importance and it showed. The only draw back is that the parking is quite far from the location and after a long day at the water park and out in the sun it makes the walk seem even longer especially with whining children! more

Austin’s Water Park 11/17/2005

We visited Volente Beach several times this past summer and we pleased each time. It’s a small park with only a few rides but the lines and wait times are not that long. I think it’s great for families with small children; it’s not so overwhelming as some of the bigger water parks. Be sure to pack a lunch and snacks. The snack bar was a little pricey for the food quality. more

Close to Home Waterpark, But Local Isn't Always Better 9/13/2005

Volente Beach isn't bad! It's not as far of a drive as Schlitterbahn or San Antonio. And ticket prices are about half compared to either of those places. However, once you are here for about an hour or two, the small selection of rides and activities can get old. Not to mention that the staff does not control the lines for the rides, so kids cut in lines constantly. However, it's easy to make a family day out of this trip. Bring a cooler full of lunch and enjoy it under the covered picnic pavillion. Bring a volleyball and start up a game either in water or the sand. And enjoy the sand beach in all the ways you can. It's nice to have something similar to the big waterparks so close to town, but don't expect a big waterpark. Come prepared as if you are visiting a State Park with a few bonus rides and you'll enjoy the day much more. more

Fun Fun Fun is right down the road 9/5/2005

Volente Beach Water Park is right down the road from Austin, right on the Lake. They have water slides, pools, a kiddie pool with an awesome pirate ship, and Jacuzzis. The price is great for such a cool place, there is plenty of parking and it is easy to find. Next time you are in Austin come check it out! more

Family Fun in the Sun! 8/26/2005

Volente Beach water park is a blast, especially on a hot day. There’s 3 water slides, a pirate pool and splash ground (for the younger crowd) and a swimming pool. There’s 3 and 1/2 acres of sandy beach to lay out on, a volleyball court and The Sundowner Grill Restaurant (with burgers, Chicken fried steak, Mexican food, etc). If you go after 4 pm you get in for half price (tickets around the $18 price range) which is nice because the crowds leave around that time, so more time to ride and swim! Tons of fun for the entire family! more

A beach in your backyard 8/21/2005

Volente beach is an awesome water park. It has water slides, a swimming pool with Jacuzzi and a kiddie pool with a pirate ship Volente Beach has its own sandy beach and has volleyball courts. The park also has a restaurant/bar and a playscape for kids. The restaurant serves up burgers, chicken fried steak, seafood and Mexican food. Prices can be a little high, but we learned if you go after 4pm you can get the half price admission. And still have 4 hours to enjoy the park and rides. The advantage to this too is the park is not nearly as busy. We love Volente beach and it is a full day of fun for the family. more

Splash it up at Volente 8/17/2005

I've been here at least 5 times over the years. This place is a great place to come for the entire day. Don't feel like going down water slides and swimming? Fine, they have volleyball and a beach to Tan on. Check out lake Travis and the cool boats as they pass by. The only draw back to this water park is it's around $18 per person to get in. Head down to San Marcos if you'd rather get more rides for the money considering this place is considered to be in Leander, Texas. Bring your sun block and a cooler for later. more

Close to home water park fun 8/14/2005

A great place on Lake Travis to go relax and have a fun day with the kids and family. Volente Beach is nowhere near as big as Schlitterbahn in New Braunsfels, but it is close to home and still offers tons of rides! It is very crowded, but still feels relaxing. The price is affordable, and the parking is close by and easy to get. It is best to come early and stay late-lots of sunscreen too! more

Water Park 7/29/2005

This place is great. My husband's company has been having their company picnic here for the last three years. They have water slides, pools, volleyball courts, and even a beach on Lake Travis. The kiddie area is great with little waterfalls and water slides for your little ones to enjoy. It is a great way to cool off on a hot day. more
