La Novita Salon & Spa

I have been a client of La Novita for the past 10 years and I can't say enough about the personalized service that I have received from all their staff throughout all these years! Jenn is the most talented colorist/hair stylist I have ever been to! I am always getting compliments about my color and style. I also go for facials with India,she is just superb!! Can't wait to go back! All in all I must say that this Salon is very professional and accommodating to their clients. I even brought my granddaughter in when she was visiting from Ohio to Jessica and she loved her! Great stylist, listened to what she wanted!! more

I''ve been a client for about 2 years. I receive hair cuts regularly and have used the massage services about 5 times. The cuts and highlights are the best I've had. I am complimented frequently! The products are excellent and the price is competitive. Jessica is amazing at what she does! The massages are to die for and the relaxation areas are extremely peaceful. The salon is beautiful and you are treated very well from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave. You are offered various drinks and light snacks while you wait and you can even surf the web while your hair sets more

I Love La Novita! Been going there for years and have given La Novita at least 15 clients and all of them rave about their hair, get tons of compliments from other, and will go to no other place! more

awesome pedicure and manicure from linda. she's meticulous! the atmosphere was so relaxing even though you're in the same room as the hair salon. I was offered tea, coffee, wine, water. the lighting was great and i was able to just chill out. i will definitely be back. more

As far as the employees attitudes- if your overwhelmed by the class that the decor provides to La Novita, you probably will feel out of place. I'm sure that wasn't their intention in the design plan, but rather to make you feel like even if your not the richest person in the world, you deserve to feel like you are when you go there! Trust me, I'm a young professional that is far from well-off money wise and I never feel out of place here! If someone doesn't smile at you- smile at them- easy as that! more

On one occasion I ran in to see if anyone had time to wax me- all the estheticians were booked so the salon's manager offered to take me!!! The chances of this happening in any other salon are far and few! I believe her name was Joelle maybe- but despite her name, she was more than good to me despite the fact that this was not her responsibility and she simply took me out of the goodness of her heart! more

If you are not happy with a cut or color- speak up- I have- and they've always done whatever it takes to make me happy. more

I'm super offended by the negative feedback on these review sites as I have had nothing but good experiences! Angela Federico is by far the most innovative colorist I have run into in the industry- no one else has touched my hair since 2004! She's amazing! I could talk all day about her talent, her positive attitude, or her need to make sure that each and every customer of hers is completely and utterly satisfied with her services!!! Lisa McDonald is also held in high regard in my book! On several occasions I have had to see Lisa for a blow dry etc, and I have never been disappointed. Her professionalism and talent is also impeccable. more

The whole feel of this salon is customer satisfaction. Yes, you may wait 15 minutes for your stylist, but are you not asked if you would like a free glass of wine, a cup of coffee, etc? If that's not customer service then I'm not really sure what is I suppose? From the relaxing and beautiful wash room to the computer station, it seems to me that La Novita has done nothing but try to make the salon a convenient, comfortable, relaxing place where clients can come and not worry about a thing! Unlike other salons where the washroom is a frenzy of people chatting, La Novita tries to make this a relaxing process- If that offends you- you need to have your hair done somewhere where the concern of the stylists is getting you in and out of the salon and making another dollar- not to assure that you are relaxed. more

I have been a client for 7 years and I always have a truly great experience. They updated the salon & spa about 3 years ago and it's absolutely beautiful. Seana and Melissa are the managers at the front desk who bend over backwards to make sure your have a great experience. The rest of the staff is wonderful as well, I am always approached during my visit by a few different people offering a cup of coffee or tea. Love the new amenities, fresh fruit, cheese and crackers, assorted muffins and cookies. They even serve wine and champagne! I usually see Jessica for my hair and Linda for my facials and waxing. I have tried others and never had a bad experience. In fact, everyone I have recommended still go! I've been to pretentious salons that lack customer service, La Novita is not one of them. more

Customer since 1999 (the days when it was really small and not updated and Shawna worked as a receptionist and Brenda and Sherry still cut hair). Stylists are fabulous!!! I go to Kerrie -luv her! However I have to say I agree with one of the other reviewers -the staff are very unfriendly, no eye contact. I would take it a step further and say they walk around with an air of conceit. It is annoying and hardly very Spa like. The owners are where that attitude stems from and it is unfortunate. There is no verbal thank you for your business nor do you feel the gratitude. I know that Anthony and his wife have worked hard at making this business a success -and they work at the smallest details. I admire that -I just wish they'd work on the service end. more

I love love love this Spa... However, I have to agree with most other postings. I feel that most of the staff members are stuck up and could care less if you are there or not. It is almost like walking back into the ""cool club"" in high school. The owner is the same way! There are only a handful of people who smile. I have my favs but I can never remember their names. Good thing they keep a computer record. Spa treatments are amazing! I would high recommend. Just be wear to feel like you are an outcast! more

Classy, yet not pretentious. The pedicure is probably the best I've had, they really take their time with you and its so relaxing. The facials and massages are amazing also. more

Absolutely love coming into this salon! everyone is very professional and polite! the first time i walked into the salon, i was greeted with smiles and great personalities! there prices are great for the work they do! they are all very experienced and know how to do there job with such a confident attitude! not knowing much about hair myself, i usually try to explain what i want done with my hair to the best of my ability, and every time they get it right! the pedi's, mani's and eye brow waxings are also the best of the best! i wouldnt consider trying another salon, la novita is where its at! more

I recently had the worse experience at La Novita. Me and my daughter have been going to this salon for 6 years and had good luck with 2 of the stylist there Jessica and Jen. But one week ago I needed a cut and my ususal stylists were not available. I asked the manager to choose someone good for me. I showed up at 4 and waited quite a longtime, (actually did get out of the salon before 7.30). After a 40 minutes wait, I was sitted in a chair and a young apprentice told me she was going to do my highlights. I was not given a choice or explained that it was not going to be a professional stylist who would do my highlights. She was quite slow doing it. Finally after my hair was washed I was sitted in the chair of another stylist. I told her what I wanted and insisted on the fact that I didn't want my hair cut short. When this stylist started to cut, I could see she was taking too much and I told her but she told me not to worry and that I would be please with the result. When it was done I could see that she had chopped a lot of my hair and I hated it but I didn't say anything because I just wanted to cry. I have a very round face and short cuts do not look good on me. The salon charged me 190 dollars for a highlight that was not done by a senior stylist and a cut I hated. This was a lot more than what I usually pay.\r When I came home I was devastated, my daughter could not believe how unbecoming my new haircut was. All my friends had to agree that it really didn't look good on me. \r The day after I called the salon and asked to talk to the manager to explain my disapointment. I told him in particular that it was quite a faux pas to risk a totally new cut on a client who has her hair done here regularly and has her regular stylists. The salon should know by know the style prefered by the client and not try to change it.\r The manager told me he would have the owner call me. I am still waiting to this day. No apologies and no respect for the fact that I had been faithful to this salon for a while and yet didn't reserve any feedback on my bad eperience. I am very disapointed with the place. If you go there make sur ethe stylist called Anne Marie doesn't do your hair. You will be charged a lot of money and will not like the result. more
