Kramer & Sons Plumbing Svc has been helping us out for years. This last visit was another service check they do for us every 6 months. It's good to know they are on top of it and their technicians are the best. Prompt, polite, and professional, and the pricing is reasonable as well. I highly recommend the company. more

What I really like about when you call Kramer & Sons Plumbing is that you do not have to worry about the problem not getting solved. These guys come when they say that they will, they are always on time with their scheduled appointments which is great. I have had two different technicians come out and they both really knew what they were doing. The only downside is that these guys are a little expensive, but for the quality of work that you get and the peace of mind that the problem will be taken care of. They do a great job every time and I will continue to use their services for the foreseeable future. more

Kramer & Sons Plumbing Service is very dependable and stands by their service. If something goes wrong, which is seldom, there is no quibbling or discussion. They immediately get someone out here to fix it. They are very reliable, very dependable and do excellent work. Their entire team seems to know what they are doing, and Seth is very personable and comes personally to supervise or help with repairs on complex jobs. I've used their service for more than a couple years--a little before they installed a very nice water heater for me. They've also done some external work with a sump pump replacement, some land grading to bury water pipes, as well as plugging an external leak on the house and replacing water faucets. They are very versatile in terms of their plumbing abilities. I'm very comfortable with them and would say their prices are comparable--maybe a little higher--and worth it. And, I like that they really stand behind their product. Anytime they have had to come back to do any work--which is minimal--there has never been an additional charge. more

I thought Kramer & Sons Plumbing Service was prompt and fair and professional, and they did very good work. I have had them twice, including the time they repaired a leak in our front hall. It was fixed, there were no problems, and everything turned out great. Scheduling was very, very easy with them, too. I contacted this company through Angie's list. The gentleman who made the appointment was very professional accommodating and quite pleasant. They scheduled an appointment for the follow day. The plumber showed up on time, with a two hour time slot instead of all morning or afternoon! He was pleasant, patient with my barking canine kid and was in an out in 30 minutes. He even gave me a tip related to why I needed to call them in the first place. I highly recommend this team! more

I had a clogged sink in the kitchen and Kramer & Sons Plumbing had to have my floor excavated. So the excavation crew had to come out and take care of it. They never really found anything and they never tested after they finished, which I felt was odd. After they left I had a clog again after a weeks worth of work, so another gentleman came out and he went through and did the rotor system he actually made sure my kitchen sink was working before he left and discovered it was just a clog. Somewhere during the course of excavating on President's Day they broke the outside faucet. I didn't realize it until months later so they sent out another guy tried to tell me it was the cut off valve that needed to be replaced. Well he did that but then realized I the faucet was broken, which I told him initially so he replaced the cut off for no reason. I just told Kramer I wish it would have been done right the first time. They aren't the cheapest but they are reasonable and they do stand behind the work. more

This was my first time ever using Kramer & Sons Plumbing Svc Inc. I was leaving out of town and I had an emergency plumbing and I needed prompt service, so I called the company and immediately they sent a plumber out to my residence. I am very satisfied because in the past plumbers would have difficulty finding the problem but this particular plumber was able to identify the source and dive right in to it, drained out the pipes of backed up water. The plumber shared with me that if this wasn't taken care of it could have done some damage to my floors and dry wall. The plumber did a tremendous job; quick, very personable and knowledgeable - he had my confidence the entire time. Prices are little higher than average compared to their competitors however because their work is done right the first time - Kramer & Sons Plumbing Svc Inc. are worth every penny and in return you'll get a peace of mind! more

charge too much. replace kitchen faucet was $479, plus $59 for initial service call, plus I had to go out and buy new faucet. time to perform work was less than one hour. more

We noticed our grass was very wet around our mains box and the sprinkler box, which was right next to it. It was a $@!#% shoot as to whether it was the mains or the sprinkler system. We would have to dig to find out. I opted for calling a plumber rather than the sprinkler company in case it was a water main leak. After contacting many plumbers for this job, I settled on the last one, Kramer and Sons. While the other plumber reps were all very nice, Kramer and Sons were the only ones to really promote the idea of “let’s take a look to see where your leak is coming from and if we can fix it before we charge you an arm and a leg for a new water main.” (I also liked the fact that the whole 4-man crew who would do the job showed up to give the estimate.) All the other companies seemed to want to replace our water line right off the bat for anywhere up to $5,400! Kramer and Sons quoted 3 ways: for excavating 6 feet and fixing the leak if possible and fixing it; replacing the water line if necessary with copper; or replacing with 250psi poly. They didn’t try to push one material over the other, like the other plumbers who had a preference. They were in fact surprised that the poly had gone bad after only 9 years. They said it should last a lot longer. They felt pretty sure it was the sprinkler system.We ended up choosing poly again with the idea that they would carry the poly on the truck if they needed it. I found this approach very reassuring. During the entire process, the Office Manager, Sadat, was incredible! He was so responsive and answered every one of my many, many questions with patience and politeness. I can’t sing his praises highly enough. Kramer and Sons have a gem there. On the day, the 4-man crew showed up bright and early and started digging. They used a big plastic sheet to put the dirt on so they would not mess up the grass. They were here for a total of about 6 hours, with about 4 hours of digging, and some down time waiting for glue to dry and to fetch parts. When they got down to the level of the join between the sprinkler and mains, they could see a leak. They also saw a leak coming out the top of the blow off valve. Two of them went off to get the piping they needed as they are not sprinkler techs. They fixed it and did however, do what the sprinkler company normally does each season after winterizing, which is to put tape round the pipe to give the cap something to bite on. They pressure tested the system and we tested the sprinkler. Everything was fine. At the end of the work, they put all the dirt back, overseeded, and lay straw on top of everything. They spent some time hosing down the sidewalk and road and left nothing out of place. As a side note, unfortunately the sprinkler blow off valve cap blew off during the night and water was coming out fast. We shut off the main sprinkler valve and called them first thing and the same 4-man crew showed up immediately. They were very surprised that the cap blew off as it had been on so loosely when they found it and they had tightened it. They wanted to shut off the blow off valve so that we could still use the sprinkler until our irrigation company came out to winterize the system and fix it. It involved breaking off the lock on the valve shut off. Unfortunately, it was rusted on so they weren’t able to do that. They did not want to break anything so advised that it would be best for the sprinkler company to come out and replace the lock and cap, and I agreed. We have them scheduled soon. Digging in the ground is not a cheap affair and it did cost $1,050 but that was the very lowest price as others had quoted much higher prices to just fix the leak. If I had not continued to talk to plumber after plumber and found Kramer and Sons, we would have ended up paying up to $5400 for a new water line for no reason at all! I have learned a lot from this experience. Be careful and do lots of research before you spend your hard-earned money! I felt the entire experience was very positive and recommend the company very highly. more

Several years back, I had a sit down tub and they said they would come out on the weekend to tear it out for my new tile. They kept their word. I had several drains stopped from time to time. They would call and say they're on their way. I was very happy with service. I have recommend them many times. Every time they said they'd do something, they did it. They always called so I was prepared for them. They were very polite and clean. They put booties on when they enter the house so they don't track dirt from the outside. They always come when they say they will. more

I am familiar with a few plumbers and I know that the Kramer team has done a good job on the number of things that they have done for me. We were stunned to learn that we needed a new sewer drain line from our house to the full back of our yard (150 ft) to reach the county sewer line. I called estimators for two popular companies in the area and received ridiculously HUGE price quotes. A very good friend recommended Kramer and said how pleased their whole neighborhood had been with their service. I called and within 2 hours, the actual "underground" team who would do the work was on site and assured me how they would do the project and protect my large trees. Their estimate came in at a very reasonable price. Within a week, the entire job was done by this very experienced crew, and we couldn't be more happy with the service, the price and the results.
