Koinonia Homes Inc

I read the review from a concerned parent and cannot believe that no one has brought this to light before now. My concerns are for the individuals but my viewpoint is that of associate several of the former employees. Not only has every point of concern been brought up to the Director and the Board but every effort to insure the stability of the organization has been met with indifference. Shame on the Board for not looking into the very valid concerns of the parents, but more so the complaints of employees who witness the incompetence of the management and are summarily dismissed for voicing concerns. This entire operation is in need of outside investigation to insure the best in staff for the people in need of these services. I have to believe based on 40 plus years in business that the responsibility lies in directors chair, a seat too long occupied by the same individual. more

I am a parent of a child who received services from this agency and was completely dissatisfied with everything they had to offer. Their staff turnover is out of control. As soon as my son got used to a new staff they either quit or were terminated. Their focus is clearly not the individuals with disabilities. I am completely puzzled by the fact that they are still in business. There must be something going on behind closed doors. I have spoken with several people who have previously served on their Board and they are also not happy with the way Koinonia is run. I have also spoken with several current and previous employees and no one seems to be satisfied with this agency. I am also a part of a large parent coalition that disapproves of Koinonia Homes and all that they say they have to offer. I wish more people would speak out about their dissatisfaction because the lives of individuals with disabilities are at stake. more
