I called Kohler Heating to fix a small heating unit in the studio I use as a rental unit. Bill Kohler came and assessed the situation. He advised the heating unit was beyond repair, then he advised on which venders I could call to deal with my heating problem. Bill could have charged me for the visit and he didn't and he could have sub-contracted the work out and he didn't. But best of all, he just left me a message asking how everything went. Bill Kohler and Kohler heating are a fine example of what professionalism is today. You can absolutely trust Bill. I will call he any time I have heating needs. more

WOW!!! My wife and I just moved into our new rental and as the weather turned cold it became time to turn on the heater...much to our dismay there was a hole in the back of the furnace and hot air was streaming into our garage. They came almost immediately when I realized my furnace wasn't working on a cold day. When they got here, they diagnosed the problem as just a wire that got disconnected, and fixed it. Here's the shocker: he offered to do it free of charge because it was so minor! He wasn't even going to charge a drive fee or anything. I almost dropped my teeth, and insisted that he take something. As the weather turned chilly, I realized that my furnace had stopped working. I called several companies on a late Friday night, and Bill at Kohler Heating made time for me on Saturday itself. He gave me a free estimate and explained the problem, and then provided updates on when the part was expected. Since my furnace had been installed several years ago (by someone else), there were unforeseen issues with the system, and much to my surprise, Bill spent additional hours investigating my furnace to make sure it worked properly without billing me for his extra time and effort. He takes great pride in a job well done and checks in after the service to make sure all is well. When I was having repeated trouble with a furnace in our building, I called Kohler Heating. Bill Kohler answered the phone (no voicemail or pressing buttons) and came over exactly when he said he would. He diagnosed the problem and made a few suggestions. Within 3 hours I had a new motor and the furnace hummed along just fine. I was relieved. The cost was very, very reasonable and Bill told me to call if anytime if I had any problems. He checked back the next week to see how the furnace and called again a month or two later in the midst of the winter. Now, Bill takes care of all our HVAC needs and I am appreciative of the customer service, friendliness, and prompt response. Kohler Heating is a SF family business I will always refer people to. I was looking to have central heating installed in my home and have my two wall heaters removed. I got several estimates, including one from Bill at Kohler Heating, on the recommendation of a family friend. I was concerned about the timing because it was beginning of the winter and the job required complete duct work and the removal of the wall heaters. He delivered all that he promised at a favorable price, in the time span agreed upon, and carted away the old heaters at no extra cost. A difficult job truly became an efficient and quiet solution.
