I am currently staying at Kindred Hospital Tarrant County in Arlington, Texas. There is so much I can say about my stay here, but the very first thing that comes to mind is a simple word, AMAZING! I was brought here from another hospital, to receive wound care, and IV antibiotics for a severe left foot infection. I should mention a little history… I am 45 years old and a Diabetic. Long story short, I went undiagnosed and misdiagnosed with various other ailments until late in life. A lot of irreversible nerve damage had already occurred, and I wasn’t exactly compliant right away with the diabetes. After having a right leg, below the knee leg amputation, my podiatrist is very careful and serious about any infections I get… all my toes on the left foot were also amputated and the left foot is what I rely on for balance, being able to walk, being independent, going through my day to day things, like driving, and working, etc.… So, after surgery on the left foot, having several infected bones removed, he decided I needed to come to a LTAC (Long term acute care) facility for recovery. Thank God, I picked Kindred! All the staff members are extremely friendly and professional… When I say ALL the staff, I mean EVERYONE from the CEO, to the on-staff Doctor’s, to the nurses and tech’s, maintenance, Dietary, housekeeping, and the Case management. Not only are they friendly and professional with an amazing bed side manner towards the patient, they are the same way with each other. This outstanding quality creates the most comfortable, family like feel to the facility and it is almost felt as soon as you walk through the door. As soon as the EMT’s brought me in the building, the front desk employee and the security guard greeted me cheerfully! It is apparent ALL staff is extremely proud to work here, thus creating a “can do” attitude for each other throughout all departments, and even motivating the patients to be involved in their own recovery. What other hospital have you been too where the CEO comes to your room and speaks to you?? My overall experience here has been remarkable, I would unquestionably come back if my medical condition required it. Do not hesitate to be admitted for care at Kindred of Tarrant County in Arlington, Texas… There are a few names I’d like to mention as they stand out for the superb care given to me directly as well as indirectly. Not that it is limited to this list, ALL staff gave me fantastic care, however I can’t remember every name. ??
