My physical therapist, Urian, was especially professional, motivating and very attentive to my needs. My occupational therapist, Rebekah, was a breath of fresh air - bubbly and professional. She made me smile while we did a lot of exercises. I think she was great! When she wasn’t here, I missed her. She made you want to do the exercises, look forward to it. Urian was the same. Two exceptional therapists. I’ve had both hips replaced so I am very familiar with therapists. Urian was very aware of how I was doing and made sure I was comfortable. I had a very good nurse on the 5th floor, Barbara. She went well beyond what nurses do. She was very helpful... a good, caring person. Thank you to everyone on the 5th and 6th floors for the great care that all of you gave me. more

They are beautiful here. Just beautiful people working here. I thank God for bringing me here. They know what they are doing. They are following orders and processes established by good leadership. Look what they did for me? When I came here, I was very ill. I couldn’t walk at all. I worked with two therapists, Urian and Rebekah. Great Job! With their help, I am now up to walking 120 steps a day. Thank God! I would recommend everybody here. Besides that, the food was great too! No complaints here, not even one. It has been my privilege to spend a few weeks in this facility. I found it to be clean with helpful staff, both nurses and aides. Call lights were answered in a timely manner. Nurses were knowledgeable and didn’t mind your questions. Doctors didn’t give you a five minute exam. They really took time to address your needs. If I had to be in a facility again, I would choose this one. Would have no problem telling other people to go there. D.B. more

At first I was nervous. I didn’t know if this was a good place to go to. I’d never been here before. Now I can see everyone comes here and does their job the way it’s supposed to be done. Everybody treats me nicely. I’ve been here a couple of weeks and now I can see I had nothing to worry about. I’m doing better than I was when I first got here and my wounds are healing exceptionally well. more

The people from here are excellent! They do everything to aid and assist you. In fact, they go out of their way to assist you. They are very, very patient. If you have a panic attack, they work with you. They stay with you. They are patient to get you through it. You really feel like you’re getting cared for by a loving relative and I think they are proving that we are all family. I am definitely feeling better due to their continued efforts. Not only do they do their job, but they also make you really comfortable. more

Rn Rebecca is a peach. Cna Kiela is very sweet. Rn Ayanna - I wouldn’t trade her for anything. She must be blessed. I have awakened at night to see her in my room checking on me. The 2 Therapy people, Urian and Rebekah, are wonderful. I am going to miss them very much. more

They all did a good job except for the one that I complained about to them. I guess they took care of it because I didn’t see her again. Shaquita and Laura were good. Kiela was fine too. Maria and Diane were good too, especially Ms Diane. She was really good! more

My stay here was good under the circumstances. Every day saw a noticeable improvement because of the staff. I can’t say enough good things about them - the nurses, the doctors, the aides, the respiratory staff, Heather, Annette and Lena. more

I would rate my stay here at Kindred Hospital a “10” because of the care I received. When I first came here, I could not walk - I was almost paralyzed and I had a blood infection. With the help I received at The University of Chicago who put me on dialysis and the help I received from Kindred, which is the location I chose to go to because I had been here once before, I am doing so much better now. I can stand. I’m walking better now. I’m halfway to where I want to be. And now the rest is up to me. I get plenty of help from the staff. This Kindred Hospital is the type of place which makes you feel welcome. The staff is courteous and polite. Service is prompt. I am feeling a whole lot better now than when I first came in and hope to go home soon. more

The Respiratory Therapists and the Physical and Speech Therapists did a really good job. They always treated me with courtesy and respect and they always spoke to me in a kind manner. They always tried to answer my questions to the best of their ability. I have come a very long way from when I first got here because of them. more

The food could use some work and the TV could use more channels but our case manager, Heather, was wonderful. She helped me more than anyone else has anywhere else since this all began. She put feelers out everywhere and found a place for my husband to discharge to which wasn’t too far for me to visit. She was patient with me and answered all my questions while we were here, some of which I asked her more than once. I started to feel like I was having a conversation with my friend, not an employee just doing her job. Everyone was pretty nice but Heather was wonderful! more

My stay was longer than I expected, but the staff was very patient with me being stubborn and sometimes uncooperative . I appreciate some of the hardworking assistants that take care of me and the nurses that answer my nosy questions about the medications I’m getting. more

I liked Sherry from wound care a lot. She and I both like Southern Rock music. She appears to be a very tough nurse but she was very good and I found her to be very down to earth. I am sure she would give me the shirt off her back if I needed it. That’s the kind of person she is. Victoria is very smart and very confident. She could practically do my dressing changes while looking out of the window...and they would be done perfectly! That’s how good she is. more

The therapy here was excellent! They actually did what no other place was able to do - get her to finally sit on the edge of the bed. This is after spending 2 years in a reclined position. Gino, her physical therapist, had her sitting up at the edge of the bed by herself! The wound care team was very, very, very nice and Dr. Stone will be following her at her new location which is great. The nursing staff was also really nice. I was happy with everyone here. I would definitely recommend Kindred to anyone needing therapy and hospital care. more
